it really hit me at the end when the roundtable members start vanishing. at the beginning you have all these people who are there to help and guide you as the tarnished. but as time goes on depending on what you've done or havent done ppl will be gone. nepheli has a chance for a good ending with becoming the lady of limgrave. but if you didnt do her quest she's dead. She's perfect for the elden beast fight. I learned to solo radagon almost perfectly just so I could summon her to wreck the beasts shit when it runs or flys
@@mistamethylbrot2187 It's how you use and position her. She is either the best or worst summon depending the fight and your own role in it. If you use yourself to draw agro away from her she usually works great; e.g. with Astel positioning her to near the wall usually works great, but naturally you have to keep Astel busy by yourself and not let it focus on Latenna. Same with several dragons like Borealis. She is not the summon you use to distract the boss from you, it's opposite. You keep boss busy and she keeps chipping away it's health, but you have to pull your part. You can use her as distraction but best use you get if she stays alive. And naturally best bosses for her are usually those who got big arenas.
I laughed so hard at jumping backwards off the ledge. I felt so happy praising the Dog and so somber seeing the Roundtable slowly empty. This video perfectly encapsulates my emotions playing this game and it may be my favorite thing on TH-cam.
I love how the health, MP and stamina are working as the sound bars, but also it implies the player is dying so often that they go up and down rapidly during the montage.
This is AMAZING. I was literally crying with laughter…then the end just had me crying. I wasn’t prepared for such a tonal shift. It was incredibly well done. Also, props to whoever did the singing. That high note isn’t easy.
What do you mean, there's no dislike count showing. TH-cam has perfecting their site by not giving a dislike count so the creator won't feel bullied by the amount of dislike they get.
The bosses are legitimately cheating though, they have input reading and they can release their attack early or hold it for longer based on what you do. (It's been confirmed that at least Margit does this, and he's kind of a major boss so)
This is about as amazing as anything can get. Whoever you got to do the singing, props to them. That high note in the chorus is incredibly difficult to hit correctly and have it sound good. There’s not that many people with the vocal chops capable of doing it right, like the original. The end was pulling on my heart strings, with everyone disappearing. Perfect.
You can really tell that the creator has played Elden Ring and loves it through all the pain this game gives someone "I'm so done, for an hour or two" is just way too accurate 😂
This is, by far, the most perfect video ever created. It stirs all sorts of feelings for a fan of Elden Ring. From the commiserating cries of the lyrics complaining of the difficulty to the breathtaking mountain of enemies being defied by a seasoned tarnished to the NPCs disappearing in the Round Table and the deeply sad meaning that entails. It is a rollercoaster of gaming emotions. Perfect in every aspect, every frame.
This is the first time our little Tarnished friend has shown some real grit rather than immediately screaming and fleeing. This is a real masterwork. Carbot, you've really outdone yourself here. I've watched almost every one of your videos and I think this is really a gem, on par with the tearful finale of StarCrafts. Well done. You never cease to exceed and amaze.
It was cool how confident he was against dragons. When I started playing this game, even Godric's Knight was difficult to beat. I felt that this game was too difficult. However, little by little, I felt that I was getting better than before, and I did not give up. I thought about the last boss right in front of me. I had a hard time beating Godric's knight, but now the moment I tried to fight the final boss felt funny. My experience in the Elden Ring was extraordinary. It felt like writing a heroic story rather than reading it. For me, Elden Ring will continue to be the best game ever. Please excuse the awkward sentence using a translator.
so sick to see that the character has developed some real bad-assery, especially around 2:14, after all that stuff that he's gone through in the previous epsiodes ❤ literally gave me goosebumps.
I really feel like one of Carbots sole reasons for animating Elden Ring is to vent the frustrations of the game, because literally everything in here is just 1 to 1 with how they are in game, truly a cultured animator
It is on this day we have been blessed by true art. Came expecting a reboot of the old dark souls meme, stayed for the amazing cover. Behold dog everyone, behold dog.
So good. I'm watching this with a big goofy smile on my face but also feeling sort of sad, how does that work. The marionette falling over playing the keyboard is just genius & the moment all the bosses are shown & he just thinks fuck it & dives in, so perfect. Edit: oh yeah, whoever the dude is who sings on this, really talented & great tribute to Ah-Ha 👍👏
1:48 I'm gonna hazard a guess and say Carbot has seen that old Dark Souls SFM "When you go Dark Souls with your best mates" and wanted to make an entire Take on Me video inspired by it.
i knew im not the only one who has instantly recalled that Pruld video in the beginning of this video right when the music started AND was so happy to see those dudes flexing in the background and prooving i was right
I like the part where he summons Latenna and quickly draws his sword with a bad ass face. Goes charging into the fog to defeat the dragon. I felt that moment.
That is EXACTLY how i fought with ALL the dragons in the game. Latenna summon in a place where dragon can't reach and running on horse to hit their ankles - 2 strikes, then run away to avoid tail swipes; rinse and repeat.
I just beat Elden Ring for the first time last night. This is an incredible video and accurately describes the play experience. @@mistamethylbrot2187 I am a melee dex build. So I draw the aggro, that helps.
@@tubetorpedo BTW, Malenia?
I like how they show Malina as the final boss instead of the Elden beast.

I can honestly say this may be the most accurate video about the way this game makes you feel. Well done guys
I haven't even played this game and I feel this
I laughed so hard at jumping backwards off the ledge.

If one person can do it so can another
That's a lot of crying. There's help out there.
@@adamdavis539 Inane comment of the year award right here
What a tribute for the game of the year. I was smiling the entire time.
How can anyone dislike this video?!?! This is a masterpiece. Every part of it! Great job best friend!
What do you mean, there's no dislike count showing.
TH-cam has perfecting their site by not giving a dislike count so the creator won't feel bullied by the amount of dislike they get.

I love that not only we get a 100/10 music video, we also get what seems to be sneak peaks for upcoming episodes
I see Malenia ready to kick some ass
There's also Mohg in the crowd, hope we will see his area too
It's official, "Take On Me" is souls series' national song now
Nooooooo, elden rings anthem is in the middle of the night, this game made that song popular
Yeah suck it the last of us part 2!
Hell yeah
This is single-handedly the best thing you have ever produced.
And that means a LOT, considering the stuff you produce is consistently good!
You need to watch the StarCraft series, but this is awesome too

1:14 the “Just doge attacks they say, but bosses fell like they all cheating” is so relatable and so true 😭
Doesn't matter how good you are, if you atack malenia and she decides to tank It with watterfall dance you are dead
Perfect.
Usually its his father or brother.
I think you would like the Noodle's video covering the Need For Speed series. I mean "...his performance is second to one!"
It was his brother James who sung the song and his brother Andrew wrote the lyrics
@@JeyDB Thanks for the info, they’re both really talented. Lyrics were great and singing was on point.
Bro the high notes are falsetto and very easy to hit in falsetto haha regardless this amazingly done!
That last part hit hard, Everyone disappearing apart from Hewg and Rodricka felt sad.
That was a perfect A-ha tribute. Thank you, CarbotAnimation!
You can really tell that the creator has played Elden Ring and loves it through all the pain this game gives someone
"I'm so done, for an hour or two" is just way too accurate 😂
"I'm so done for an hour or two" is the perfect way to describe elden ring
it is, i sit there looking at my controller, and just have to pick it back up
I love how derpy Torrent looks with his tongue hanging out 😄
As I was watching noticing that little detail while he was charging so heroically at the dragon I felt the same!
So good, They should have featured this at game of the year awards show.
"Slowing learning that dying is okay" What a great souls quote! Praise the sun my friend!
This is a complete masterpiece, conveying all the emotions of this damned game in 3 minutes and 30 seconds of sheer animation brilliance!!
"WHY DIDN'T TRY FINGER BUT HOLE" this got me for good lol
"Behold dog" cracked me up. This makes me want to fire up my game again right now.
Another timeless masterpiece,
which made me cry for about 5 minutes at "behold dog"
That small bit with all the bosses and the music transition with the ER score was perfect
NGL, the NPCs disappearing from the round table hold à la Band of Brothers had me tear up.

Yeah once you get to New game plus it'll feel satisfying since you'll breeze past every enemy like they're Nothing

Reminds me of the headless from the ded cells animated shorts. Keeps getting more badass but keeps getting owned.
That's what Elden Ring's theme music does to you. +10 all attributes in game and real life.
that roundtable bit hits hard 😢
This couldnt have come out at a better time! Great video and congrats to Elden Ring for winning Game of the Year!
I really feel like one of Carbots sole reasons for animating Elden Ring is to vent the frustrations of the game, because literally everything in here is just 1 to 1 with how they are in game, truly a cultured animator
In that case, I can't wait for the complete meltdown Melania is gonna give him, and the subsequent animation.
It very much feels like they are players, not just someone drawing something that they had explained to them.
@@The_Keeper Place your bets now, how many times will Carbot die in the Malenia episode?

I like the part where he summons Latenna and quickly draws his sword with a bad ass face. Goes charging into the fog to defeat the dragon. I felt that moment.
and then slaps it on the ankle lol
That is EXACTLY how i fought with ALL the dragons in the game. Latenna summon in a place where dragon can't reach and running on horse to hit their ankles - 2 strikes, then run away to avoid tail swipes; rinse and repeat.
The amount of talent and comedic work here is gold this series only gets better 😂
I just beat Elden Ring for the first time last night. This is an incredible video and accurately describes the play experience. I’m going to go back and watch the other Carbot videos I held off on watching to avoid spoilers and/or not understanding the jokes. The whole Carbot aesthetic is such a great take.
