I can’t believe Yekepa has been so well kept, and it still looks the same! My parents and I left Yekepa when I was just a kid, nearly sixty years ago. At that time a-company called LAMCO was mining iron ore in Nimba. Since then, I have never been back there, but I can still remember formation of the houses, and the streets, and it hasn’t changed much at all. Wow! That’s amazing. Keep up the good work Nimba!
The video seems to show a very sparsely populated but still pristine community. It's very obvious that there's been new construction since the heyday of LAMCO. The hospital remains. But Areas J and F have disappeared. Carroll High School has moved from it's original location into the city. Just look at an update of Google Maps. I'm not surprised to see satellite dishes. That's very likely how folks connect to the internet ( Yekepa is very remote ).
In my opinion, Yekepa is the most beautiful and well organized city in Liberia, after Monrovia. I used to live there out there. God blessed 🇱🇷 You should visit area A,B,C and D
Our are treating poorly by those companies and their government. No good paved roads and pathways for people. The roads are dusty roads. Building a community without a proper planing. My people, skyscrapers are not beauty but the layout of streets sidewalks and parks brings beauty. Let us start demanding for better living standards those so called companies

Question: is there another company using the place, or just the people themselves doing this wonderful job?
The Belgian multinational, Arcellor Mittal has taken over the operation of the mines.
