Iowan here! She is so loved in Our State. I would be here all day to list everything she has contributed to our state. Her Caitlin Clark 22 Foundation being one of them has an amazing mission. She was constantly going from one charity event to another. She was a frequent visitor to the Stead Children's Hospital. She was a constant at girls' basketball camps. When she says she wants to grow this sport she means it. When she says she loves being a role model for young kids she means it. I wish her peace because she deserves it. Not sure when that peace is going to come because it is hard seeing such a great young women go through all of this hatred and division directed towards her or on her behalf. The bottom line is Caitlin Clark is special and we should celebrate that!

Wow, Caitlin just has that 'personality' that makes people want to be her friend or teammate. She is seriously a once in a generation young lady. You think she should be mad and try to petition the league and commissioner to clean things up, then she talks about the league and the cheap shots she's been taking, and surprises us by just saying the right things. Intelligent, gracious, and forgiving, the league seriously doesn't deserve this wonderful human being. Any fan of the league has to feel honored or at least respectful that someone like this is part of the women's game now. She often talks about having grace- prime example of Grace. Thanks CC.

These women are balling and I love seeing it, the WNBA needs to hold the refs more accountable for non calls, because if you make no foul calls I don't care who is on the court the game becomes more ugly and no rhythm . The refs not the players control the game, if players are getting hit in the face are picked up and thrown to the court and no calls how you think the game going to turn into, street ball.

Can you give an example of a WNBA player that you've had trouble understanding? Even Caitlin's own teammates are very well spoken, e.g., Aaliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, and everyone else I've heard from. So I'm interested to hear if you're saying this based on an assumption or based on an actual WNBA player interview? How many WNBA interviews have you listened to over the years?

We would have never got thru the NBA season in the 80's and 90's with the Bad Boys (Detroit) answering every question on getting fouled.

Michael Jordan mentioned that basketball wasn’t his job… being constantly interviewed by the press/media was.
Looking forward to seeing CC’s improvement throughout the season, may she retain the attitude and work of a winner!

None of the critics have a clue about how the team is selected. It's not a popularity contest, it's to field the team with the best chance of winning. Players are selected to insure balance in all positions who can play together. Winning gold medals is the objective, not television ratings.

What an intelligent response to the question about the Chennedy Carter foul. By referring to it as part of the game she has made a cheap shot look even cheaper than it was. By referring to it as being competitive and including herself as having been guilty of the same actions she has completely defused a situation that has taken on racist overtones. And praising Chennedy for her play can only create goodwill and reduce some of the animosity and jealousy that existed.

I've seen people claim that Angel Reese said the "same thing and was ridiculed"....People want this to be a white vs black thing so badly its fucking WEIRD.

Angel asked for it to be brought on. CC was just accepting it. Who is making it about race? Final thought- the game last night was hard fought by both teams but they did not go over the line physically. We are just asking the refs to be in control of the game so we don't have to stop every game to sort out a fight.

@@sarademoret425 I agree. I'm saying the media and general public who doesn't watch sports but feels the need to comment and "stand up"...they are the ones trying to make this a black vs white thing. Us fans know it's not about that. Which is why it's so cringe when people bring skin color into this. My point was that what CC said here was NOT the same shit Reese said. But people will say that just cause she's black they hated her comments and attitude and people only love CC and her version of the statement cause she's a white girl.
That's not my personal opinion. It's just what you see and hear online all the time. No real fan or genuine good person cares about skin color. And again it's weird people want to make this whole thing with CC about race.

@@Ryy_Ryy Yes. We have to remember that all of this rookie class are still young and learning and the media and hotheads have not made it easier. Like the Olympic team. I love CC for her style of play but there are others who have earned that spot before her and should not be denied the privilege of representing our country. The hotheads are saying they won't watch but I will if it works out with my schedule.
