I absolutely loved the guy named Farooq Malik's answer...its very true that the main difference between the Pakistanis living abroad and back home is MANNERISM. Even the most "disrespectful" Pakistanis become "respectful" when they live amongst the foreigners and thats a "good" thing! Only if they KEEP that mannerism and attitude throughout their entire lives the world would be a much better place.

What I would rather want to see are the people who are born here with one Pakistani parent (who was was born in the USA) and one Caucasian american parent (with generations of family in USA). What do they see themselves as? It's like second generation half Caucasian half Pakistani.

+Kaley - Well they say the "Out Many to One", American Assimilation takes about 3 Generations. I wonder how 3rd Generation Pak-Americans (with both parent Western/American Born) would identify as. I am 3.5 Gen of Mixed Ancestry I see myself as American 1st and foremost.

That would be interesting, agreed. Interracial marriage is now fairly common among Pakistani Americans who were born here, are in their 20s and 30s. So have to wait for that generation to get to their teens.

these are your stereo typical desi kids in america. Grew up probably in a middle class well off family, were school oriented there whole life, talked in urdu or punjabi with there parents, and have travelled back and forth to pakistan there whole life. Im a pakistani american, grew up in dallas texas in a not a very good area. My life has been surrounded by drugs, drug dealers, alocohol and partying. you guys need to get some one to talk about the other side of america, the real shit
