i think XGis slightly ahead of other groups in the rapping depertment, bold claims to some ppl maybe just my opinions. maybe not the flow cuz alot of ppl can do great flows, but its the lyricism. their lyricism is another level, not to mention the variety of their flows. there is just something that distinguish them from other groups

More than slightly, how many other girl group have more than a couple of lines in a song. Where are their rap only projects? how many get reactions on non-Kpop channels, I’m talking ones do nothing but hip-hop and rap. That’s a really short list.

Nah, none of them compare to. XG period. XG is unique. Cream of the crop. Skill, technique, flow, flow switches, tone, rhyme skims, word play, double and triple entendres, doublets and triplets references to current culture plus paying homage to the greats that came before them and lastly trilingual yet do most of their stuff in immaculate English. Stop playing with them!

From the time XG first came out March 18th, 2022, some viewers been hating on XG. Harvey been getting hate on her voice tone.
XG is true hiphop and they are the only ones doing it . .. just saying
XG & BM are like apples to oranges IMO. Both have rappers and singers but their formulas are totally different if that makes sense lol.

Sorry but, XG is a dance crew that has 7 amazing vocalist and 7 rappers, as of this day. Woke Up is an all rap/hip hop track that all members will be spitting. No comparison, I said what I said
100% agree. It’s crazy to see other K-pop groups that aren’t as talented as XG, have a much bigger fan base.

In my opinion, I’d noticed that BM is making XG as their reference group, but somehow they could not make it a tie with XG ‘coz to execute R&B and Hiphop the members should embodied it in mind and soul, not just to designate such genre to the group. XG is a 7 member group, while BM should be released as 6 members suddenly they added 1 member and they also planned to be released as a hiphop group. However, i think it would be tough to push it through BM, so now they’re more onto Kpop. BM supposed to debut in the 4thGen but YG delayed it to make them 5thGen, maybe since the competition is high with other 4thGen GGs. As to fashion, Every XG member in left right wore the same baggy pants, long sleeves croptop and buckle hat, while every BM member wore khaki pants, black croptop and nude color cap in one of their pre-debut videos. In XG’s winter w/o u, they wore furry white dresses and boots, while BM also wore the same fashion concept alson in a xmas song. I like both of them, but damn XG is a top tier group, the fashion and makeup team is superb, i can’t blame BM if they replicate the same. Nice reactions guys. Still watching your other vids. 👏🏻😊🐺👽🛸
XG has 7 vocalists,7 dancers and 4 rappers and the other 3 vocalists(especially Hinata and Juria can rap a little)..

You mentioning babymonster reminded me when YG was explaining why he excluded Asa during the debut announcement, he said he wanted to create a global girl group from Japan... I'm just thinking and my own little theory, he knew about XG and was amazed and maybe got threatened? And wanted to create his own to compete with XG?! Just saying for you all to decipher in your heads!
question is why u guys comparing them to a kpop group....i mean unless u guys understand the korean language or just listen to raps coz of how the flow is or how words rhyme.....how can u get all d wordplays, entendres, references, dissing....anyone can rap, but what r they actually saying.....just enjoy d music....let's not compare ✌️

Yup, you forgot about them - they dropped Undefeated earlier this month, a collab with the Valorant videogame. Not a Tape, but more rap-heavy than usual. And Cocona's and Jurin's Tapes also dropped by now.
And yes - XG are rapping rapping. K-Pop raps do have their merits, and you mentioned some excellent rappers like Soyeon and Asa - but for the real deal the lyrics, the word play are just an enormously important part (that's why it hurts me physically when some moron gave Asa lines like Vroom Vroom - Pedal to the Metal - Click Click Click ... the deliverance aside, this is just horribly bad rap lyrics). And that is where XG is nearly unique and stand out. The only other girl group that might follow in these footsteps of original hip hop rap style might be Young Posse, but they are barely half a year old.
Oh, and there are hints and rumours that for XG's comeback May 21st the vocalists will also step up into the rapping game. Hinata already started it with a rap part in Undefeated.
Don’t forget Rapper Risu (Juria) had a rap line on Tippy Toes. Hinata had in GRL GVNG as well. I can’t wait for them to be fully unleashed especially Chisa
