    DentureCare and Implant Solutions was founded in 1989 with the idea that each patient has unique needs and priorities. Our goal from the beginning was to identify the needs of each individual and try to find a solution to that need in a way that saved the patient both time and money, but always the best in products and services, in return for the dollar spent.
    We strive to treat every patient with compassion, dignity and respect, which is why so many patients recommend us to their family and friends.
    We have been doing just that in Rocky Mount, NC and the surrounding towns of Wilson, Tarboro, Roanoke Rapids and other for these last 30 years. Those efforts have been very rewarding…we love what we do and it shows!

    Thanks for explaining snap on dentures in a way most people can understand.I'm a dental tech. for 49 years,now just working part time.Snap on dentures even though are still more expensive then regular dentures are ALOT LESS than fixed.We do alot of snap on dentures.You are right that 4 implants are prefer on lowers but 2 placed in the 1'st bi seems to work almost as well.Relines should be done when needed so as to keep the pressure distributed over the ridge and not just on the implants.Thanks for the video!

    I just called my dentist office today to set up and apt to get this process started for snap on denture's... But she said I'd get 2 implants on top and 2 on bottom... Then I watched some videos about these dentures and learned 3-4 would be best to keep the back from moving around.

    Wore partials for 10 years top and bottom. They destroyed the teeth the hooked onto. Had remaining teeth extracted bone grafts 4 top and 4 bottom implants wore temp dentures during healing process. Absolutely love my snap in dentures. Long road but worth it.

    I wish I could afford this procedure😥
    I'm a 32 yr old single mother of three boys & a student. I had a full mouth extraction on 12\16\18. I'm currently in the middle of a denture process. I waited to get my perm set bc I wanted the be st fit and decided to heal without immediate dentures. I went for my first wax try and a few weeks ago but I was so disappointed and heartbroken over the outcome. I'm hoping and praying that after a few more changes and adjustments, I will have a decent set of dentures and that I can finally live a life worth living again. This is a very tough road for me,and eventually I'll be in a better financial situation where I'll be able to explore snap on dentures and improve my quality of life. But until then, I'll have to settle with dentures. Thank you Doc Hoc for making this helpful and encouraging video. It gives me hope.

Mexico doctors and dentist are great same training and skills Again can any one explain where the other 48000 dollars go if u had that done here in the usa or would u rather pay 1200. Because a full mouth extraction 250.00 and the implants are 40.00 each there again some one EXPLAIN to me why I want to pay almost 50,000 when I can pay 1200 and that include a hotel as u rest for 7 days we dont get a hotel visit when we do dentist in usa

    Thank you for giving me (us) some insight. My situation is perplexing:
    first have been in two car accidents (neither my fault).
    Accident 1...knocked my three top teeth out plus 4 fillings.
    Accident 2...severe whiplash and now most (excluding a previous crown on one tooth) all of my teeth are level with the gingivia.
    Due to the fact that neither of the other 2 cars were given a ticket
    legally (no fault) I have to pay for extractions, grafting, the post into gingivia, the abutment and crowns.
    I was going to go with dentures, the palate has a bone that would have to be surgically removed as there would be no suction.
    Then to top it off I am on permanent meds that cause dry mouth which is me necessary for the duration of my life.
    Estimates from one specialist (cosmetic dentist) $37,000.
    Average of 3 estimates from Oral surgeons: Visit 1- extractions only and grafts $9,000
    Visit two- 2 abutments $4,000...mandible; Visit 3- full upper arch installed $12,000!!!
    Their payment system: 6 months, they crossed off 12 month.
    I have been saving every penny, sold all my gold jeweley (except for my one cross), sold my car and got a junker, learned to play poker (that's why I saved my cross).
    I am trying very hard to keep this light hearted, as crying and seeing a psychologist have not helped.
    There is the past 4 years...
    Just to ask 2 questions: your location and is the consultation free? So far I have spent more then 1K for those "free consultations".
    Thank you in advance for your formal name, letters after your name: DDS, DDS/MD & are you a Prosthodonontis: a member of Fellow- American Academy of Implant Dentistry and/or Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry? AND LOCATION. Plus CAN YOU DO EVERYTHING AT YOUR LOCATION.
    Also....Have you or can you use IVACOR HYBRID IMPLANTS that is located in Buffalo, NY?
    I have been following and spoken to Kalinjax ((Kristi)) on TH-cam that is the only reason I feel empowered to ask all these questions..she is a dear soul who always gives replies and is blasted because she won a contest.....therefore, she has been sponsored - - - jealousy is an ugly monster, I thought how fortunate she was ... she is paying it forward by giving us the gift of "knowledge".
    Sorry if I come on to strongly or sound like a "really mean person". I found that if I talk to nice, people don't give me the information I so desperately need, or I don't word myself correctly I do not get the correct information.
    HENCE, I HEREBY APOLOGIZE TO NOT ONLY YOU, BUT TO ANYONE READING THIS AND CURSING AT MY LONG COMMENT and thinking I am a B**CH.
    Also do you use Ivacor

    I've had my snap in over denture in for just over 24 hours. The doctor put me in the pink bands he seemed to have no trouble getting them in and out. but when he did it I felt like he was pulling teeth.
    I was made to try and do it after pulling and pulling it did come out but the force I had to use made my over denture slam in to my bottom teeth so hard I thought I was going to rip my bottom jaw off or break some teeth on the bottom.
    I've been trying for almost 18 hours now to take it out to clean it. And I can't do it.
    my lips are cut on both corners. Please can anyone help. Tell me a easy way to pop them out.

    Question... Is this snap on dentures , let's say,if you do , with 2 or 4 screws... Is it permanent or you still have to use the adhesive together with that... And this type of dentures are still removable?
    Or I am wrong?
    Thank you

    • @askdocjoc9861
      @askdocjoc9861  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Anastasia! Thanks for you comment and question. As long as the implants stay healthy, you don't have to remove or replace them, much like natural teeth. By permanent I'm not sure if you mean does it stay in the mouth always? If so the answer is no, you still have to snap them in and out. The option that doesn't come out and is "permanent" or "fixed in the mouth is the fixed hybrid bridge, or the All-on-X. With regards to adhesives I tell patients that if they only do 2 implants, they still may have to use some adhesive in the back to try and prevent the rocking forward. With 4 I have never had a patient have to use adhesive.

    • @askdocjoc9861
      @askdocjoc9861  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hey Rokero! Thanks for watching and your comment! There are millions of people who have lost all of their teeth for many reasons, including decay, as well as bone loss like your have experienced. So the first thing is understand you are not alone! Even though people have lost all their teeth, many times they still may have enough bone to place dental implants to use for a Snap On Denture! Also for people who have minimal bone we have mini dental implants that we use all the time! I have made a video highlighting mini dental implants for Snap On Dentures that you should watch. The best way to know whether or not you would be a candidate and have the bone to place dental implants is with a thorough consult and CBCT scan (a 3D x ray that shows how much bone you have available in your jaws.)

    • @askdocjoc9861
      @askdocjoc9861  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wayne, thanks for your comment. Usually going from 2 to 4 isn't going to make your surgery cost four or twice as much. There will be additional costs for sure though. That being said, two implants on the bottom is going to be significantly better than nothing! It is best to go in and talk to whoever you are thinking about getting it done and getting prices in hand. We offer free consults if you'd ever like to come to our office. Thank you again and have a great day!

    I understand that the upper denture is able to be horseshoe shaped due to the snaps but can the denture, in my case lower, itself be made less bulky? I'm only in immediate lowers right now and they are as loose as you would expect when they were made when I had teeth in my mouth. I'm interested in implants for snap on dentures but I won't go to the expense ($2000 CAD per implant) if I'm ending up with the same overabundance of acrylic. I'm not an expert but I'm finding it hard to understand why there is so much acrylic on the parts that simply drape over the gum to the lip line when that is not holding the teeth in the mouth nor is it absorbing impact shock from chewing. Just about the only goal I have is to NOT look like I went three rounds with Tyson - of course without affecting my chances at retiring.

    • @askdocjoc9861
      @askdocjoc9861  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Typically with the Snap On dentures we are able to make the dentures less bulky, and can shorten the "flanges" of the denture, which are the part that extends down the sides of your ridge into the vestibule (lip area) and floor of mouth near the tongue. However, we still have to keep some of the flange, especially on the tongue side, to help reduce the opportunity for food to get up under the denture. Also, keep in mind immediate healing dentures are going to be A LOT bulkier than your final dentures regardless. Immediate dentures are being put where there is no space for them yet, and thus by virtue are going to make the person's lip feel much fuller and pushed out (I made a video on immediate dentures that may help explain some of this!). Once you have healed (where a lot of shrinking has occurred and thus more space created for a denture) a new less bulky denture can be made. However, if you truly want the smallest restoration possible you would want to look into the Fixed Hybrid Denture or Fixed Bridge as these restorations have no flange, and only sit under/over the ridge. I hope this has helped!.

    How much are snap on dentures roughly? I lost my top teeth and bottom back in 3 years from an immune disease CVID where my blood doesn’t make enough immunoglobulin. The top dentures cause horrible jaw and ear pain radiating into my head. I thought that I could just wear them all day, but now not over an hour. My bottom front teeth moved and became crooked and I had 3 root canals that turned dark, now I want to save the crown money for snap on dentures. I can’t hardy leave the house because my bottom teeth look horrible but I cannot eat at all with the dentures in because of pain. I’m so afraid that the bottom dentures might make the pain worse and I couldn’t wear them at all and I won’t leave the house. My doctor said that my health insurance should cover a good portion of it, because I cannot eat the CVID. We just moved and I am even humiliated to go to the dentist. I have totally lost my life. We cannot get a loan for a year because of our credit from when I was off work those 2 years from the CVID sand still cannot work. I do some work at home. I just don’t know where to begin or what to do for a year.

    what is lifetime expectancy of the implant vs implants over natural teeth ...

    • @askdocjoc9861
      @askdocjoc9861  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Teresa! Thanks for your comment and watching. So it is very difficult to give "lifetime expectancy" approximations, both with natural teeth and dental implants. This is mainly because there is so much variance from person to person that can effect the lifetime of both natural teeth and dental implants (general health conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, social habits such as smoking and drinking, genetics, etc.). We always try to encourage people to try to save their natural teeth, even if it may take restorative work (i.e. fillings, root canals, crowns). However, if natural teeth are no salvageable, or to restore them would take a lot with a poor long term prognosis, then dental implants often the next best option. Research has shown incredible 5, 10, and even 15 year average success rates. Anecdotally we see many people who are able to keep and maintain good health with them even longer than that! I hope this was helpful!

      Carlos, thanks for your reply. Many people suffer from tooth loss who take great care of their teeth. It can be caused by a variety of things. For the record, most of our patients go with a snap on denture that can be removed before going to bed at night. We have found that most of our patients prefer the removable snap on denture. We'd be happy to have you in for a free consult. Just give us a call at 252-977-7197 to set one up.

    Would it be better to get multiple crowns rather than pull my teeth and get implants/snap on dentures? I’m probably gonna need crowns on all my molars and premolars... only my front teeth are cavity and filling free :-/

      @askdocjoc9861  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Millie! Thanks for watching. This is a very tough situation (and I know frustrating!), but one I can't answer over internet without proper consultation. What is mostly comes down to is what the restoring dentist thinks the prognosis would be for the teeth if they were crowned? Do they think you could get some good longevity with them, or is it very questionable. Obviously there is no sure answer to that question, but many times they can have a pretty good idea, especially if they don't think there would be much longevity. I personally still always encourage patients to restore and keep their natural teeth as long as possible, unless some degree of longevity is not expected.
      Thanks again and let me know if you have any other questions!

    • @askdocjoc9861
      @askdocjoc9861  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are some labs that can make a Snap On out of Zirconia, however it is not often done due to drastically increased cost to the patient and often times is not necessary. Zirconia is much more commonly seen with a Fixed denture i.e. fixed hybrid and fixed bridges for its strength due to the rigidity of the restoration. Thank you for commenting!

      @@donnieshepperson126 that's ridiculous! Kentucky is supposed to be one of the cheaper states to have dental work done in. I've been researching all around since dental is so high and Kentucky, Alabama, and a few other states are cheapest. Definitely not Florida, New York, or California though. I'm in one of 4 states without any dental coverage for Medicaid though so I'm extra screwed. I got care credit but my last quote wasn't even within my credit limit. I got quoted 27k to just do one all on 4 for the upper, and a set of crowns and 2 implant bridges on the bottom. So here I sit, in pain. As they patronize me saying "the longer you wait..." Hi
    I’m from London ,
    Where is the difference between snap on denture and all on 4?
    Can I get treatment from you for snap denture cause as you said they are cheap
    Even I m in London ?
    I can’t make my decision what’s the best for my top Teeth

    • @askdocjoc9861
      @askdocjoc9861  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @NABILROMY Thank you for your comment/question! The Snap-on Denture is a denture that is still removable by the patient but when it is "snapped in" it gets fantastic retention where you don't need messy denture and expensive denture adhesive and are able to function more naturally. "All-on-4" treatment refers to a fixed denture/bridge that is screwed in/onto the implants making it completely rigid, and is not removable by the patient. This is the main difference between the two, though there are other differences worth understanding. We have also done a video discussing the fixed denture/bridge or "All-on-4" treatment concept which would be beneficial for you to watch as well!
      People have come to receive treatment here from different states in the USA! It all has to do with how far the person is willing to travel to receive the treatment, understanding the time and cost associated with treatment! We can't make any recommendations with regards to treatment without an in person exam.
      Feel free to give us a call at 252-977-7197! Thanks!

      Typically the healing period for implants in the lower jaw is 3-4 months, and 4-6 months in the upper jaw, but it can vary case by case. The difference is due to the difference in quality of bone between the two.

    Guess I'm destine to wear denture cream the rest of my life. Used my last $7000 on the crap I have in my mouth now. I got the worst service and denture in the world. Shame on the dentist who did it to me. Not to mention after 5 years I still have the bone slivers he promised me would work themselves out on there own because he did want to spend the time removing them for me. I go without them when I'm at home and you could guess I'm developing lines at the corners of my mouth. Wish I had lots of money my mouth would be the first place it would go.

The problem is the there is a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding across the internet where people think these 40-50K options are the only option available. The point of my videos are to educate people about ALL the different implant treatment options available so they can be properly informed. Thanks!
