i am a waterpolo player myself and i can tell there is one difference: men play with bigger balls (yea that came out wrong)
Actually there is a difference between men's and women's water polo. The ball size: women play with a ball that is slightly smaller size 4 to men's to size 5.
i mean especially at lower levels men tend to play more physical, this leeds to refs calling the games differently which means they make have a different pace or look a little different.
Also in men’s water polo ( at least in my age divions ) you cant hold and it’s slightly less rough but as you get older it gets aria d the same

Watching this makes me request one for Underwater Rugby :) Regarding rules it is a much simpler sport, but regarding tactics it is a lot more complex.

+robdcblaze1 Pretty much. The problem with individual sports is that there's usually several variations that may or may not require separate videos (such as wrestling - it has 6 official forms). I'm sure I'll crank a few more out by the end of the year.
Ninh Ly Well you could try to do all the marshal arts sports like judo, taekwondo, mma, and both types of boxing
robdcblaze1 Judo is on my list as it can be quite complicated to understand. But once again - there's many Martial Arts. Some forms (like Karate and Taekwondo) the format is similar. I've tried to stay away from the obvious sports like Golf and Boxing as they really are self explanatory.

Ninh Ly Not really... there are a few extra rules for scoring (And main differences in defense) But it was just a recommention :D
somethings to add you can shoot if you are outside the 5 on a penalty. Maybe this is only america but an ejection is a simple foul and a major is when you get 3 ejections (or fouls) and you get removed from the game. Brutalities are automatic ejection from the game and could result in suspension from the tournament or the league. I had a friend who was bitten on purpose by another player on the shoulder. it drew blood and left a scar and the person who bit him was suspended from USA water polo i think for 6 months to a year. You also forgot the 2 meter. It is like a corner kick in soccer and occurs when the ball is hit by the defense out of play. In a strategy situation if you are low on the clock try to get it to bounce of the goalie's hands and out of play and you get a new clock and a 2m. Sorry if some of these are not clear. I've been out of the sport for a while and played high school and club.

What about a tie decision?
I tried to avoid talking about that as different organisations have different ways of settling tie games.
FINA - straight to a penalty shootout.
NCAA - 2 x 3 overtime periods. If scores still tied - they keep playing 3 minute overtime periods until the first team scores.
OTHER - Some countries deem tie games to be acceptable, especially in league play.

So the rules seem to say that you can't push someone under the water but I am seeing people being pushed under constantly in these clips. Is that against the rules?

@@NinhLyUK Hmm...I guess they are just incidentally going under because their opponent is going for the ball? Because I don't see anyone wrapping up their opponent and submerging them.
That’s called dunking. When the other player on the team has the ball, you can push them underwater. When they let go and you’re still pushing them underwater then that’s against the rules. And if they still don’t let go you can take the ball from them

An update for 2021: there are talks about creating the 7 meter line, that would act as the yellow line: if you get fouled inside the 7 meters you can't shoot directly. (they'll still use the 5 meters line to penaltis).
Also a quick correction: you can receive the ball inside the 2 meter line if the passing player is already inside it and the ball doesn't go forward. A bit like rugby.
Also in the 20 secs exclusions usually players don't leave the pool.

Each team has 6 field players at a time
Players can dribble, pass, or push the ball when they have possession.
Field players can only use 1 hand(s)
Penalty throws take place at the 5 meter line.

(ordinary fouls: the clock DO stop during ordinary fouls and the other team MUST NOT necessarily play the ball in 3 seconds...actually it is the referee who decides if the ball was played in time. the 2 meter line is a zone where is FORBIDDEN TO BE without the ball) altogether GREAT WORK !!
