AJ, great attitude and awareness on the track for other riders who are not as fast as you. That track is fast with big jumps and you are tearing it up. Wow. Thank you for the video.
I was thinking that too, he's very respectful of the kids out there and passes safely
You make this look so easy. So smooth with speed.
Young man on the 2 stroke was rippin.AJ always dialed..
the kid on the 125 had you beat 🤣😂
At 19:00 the kid just goes into another dimension and just disappears. Crazy, nearly like the video was overlayed.
The video cut to a different lap, if you wanna watch full uncut gopro sessions you can find them in the app!
I saw the same thing I had to rewind it like what the heck…where did he go lol.
He might as well have kid was ripping man
😂😂
I rewatched that part 7 time till I gave up looking where he went.... Where's waldo
One of the best I've seen in a while...looks awesome especially with that kid chance riding in view....man I love that big triple 😁👍🔥
Aj, can you do a review on your bike? Love to know what you like about it and don’t like about it. Also, why you purchased it instead of the other brands. Just curious, thanks.
There's so much perspective I want to know more about in this video:
1) What would you do to your setup for small bumps vs big?
2) You said you were going to charge a little harder into corner so I was listening and noticed that I didn't hear a lot of high rpm engine braking coming into the corner. Are you pulling in the clutch or staying in a high gear until the pivot?
Thanks
Good questions! I generally speaking like my setup very soft for motocross, even when there’s big jumps like the 150ft one on this track. In the corners I was really working on roll speed. So almost coasting into the turn without the clutch pulled in & with the bike in 3rd gear. The bike being in 3rd instead of 2nd is what makes it sound like i have clutch pulled in 👍🏼
Raced pit bikes on this track over the summer. Such a fun track with the coolest owners. Can’t wait to go back
Hearing that brake chatter. Your pushing me to get back on the track after 20yrs on the couch
Was thinking the same! Sold my FZ1 recently and have been kicking around the idea of getting back to dirt. Only issue, no tracks close by...at least 75 mile ride to the closest legal place.
I just hit the track 2 weeks ago for the first time in 17 years. It was a blast to get back out there. Give it a go man.
I've never ridden at 508 but i love watching the races there.
Great video, I need to work on endurance and rest periods
Love your content and perspective. Question: Sprint laps, how many do you do at a time before stopping for breaks? How long are those breaks between sessions? Example: 3 sprint laps, stop for 2min=rest, do 3 more laps, stop for 3min=rest etc. Thank you.
I’m curious the same thing. I’m a 40yo has been, I’m lucky to get 3-4 laps before fatigue has me making critical errors.
what was lil bro doin @ 14:28
You should try Brawndo. Brawndo's got electrolytes.
you should go out to promised land mx and try that track out! it’s the real deal track, lots of fast riders, big jumps, and big ruts!
Ever ridden at Monster Mountain MX in Tallassee, AL? I know JWalk 841 has made a few videos at that track but I Can’t remember if I’ve seen you do a video there. I know Monster’s facility has their own training program but would be awesome to see a Moto Academy collaboration; or just fast laps & your opinion of the track. Keep on keepin Cat 🤘🏻 Merry Christmas to you & the Moto Academy family!
love the videos.... so much has helped in the past year. one question is why the black number plate on a 450????
9:20 what a good dude
Hey tell LMNT you just sold another watcher on it. Thank you.
That's a nice Triple good 75 footer !!
Was there a glitch in the matrix? The 2T in front of you disappeared off a jump. Did he jump into another dimension? 😂
I would say that was clever editing to show AJ got around him.
Right?? lolol
I’d say that’s where sus clickers adjustments are appropriate. To find low speed compliance.
anybody else see the kid at 19:02 just like go ghost mode into the quantum realm
2 stroke dude was moving.
Yes he’s good!
Guy on 2 stroke literally vanished in the air
AJ, does your advice for riding technique change if a person is 5’6 vs. 6’3”? If so, how does height and body type alter what is considered optimal technique for an individual?
body size and mass has a big part in this sport and heavier guys can usually toss the bike around more but lets say youre 5'8 on a 450 at 130lbs well a guy who is 6'3 180lbs can throw it around easier so the smaller guy will need there own riding technique the work around those disadvantages not all things work for everyone you just gotta go out and see what works for you and build off that.
Technique for that height range will be the same, although more physically demanding the taller you are!
@@AjCatanzaro in 6,1 ex bodybuilder. I need higher bars and lower pegs … the yz models also have better ergos for taller peeps
That 150ft looks fun lol
Hope the bike is okay that’s an expensive mistake 😔
Kid on the ktm was fast, but had no regard for anyone else on the track.
Maybe he can save the bike. I had my oil filter cap come loose on my last kx450.... had to put a clutch and piston in it. Was still running when i sold it 100 hours later
Are they still open i though they closed for the year
125 or 250 2stroke what would you have
Your suspension sees off , front end super busy ! Could prolly shave another few seconds with a good setup .
It’s definitely not setup for the track being as smooth as it was, so it was a bit reactive that day! 👍🏼
What kind of watch is that AJ?
He has a full video on it
I looked around a bit for something like that and didn’t see it.
Link?
Love all your videos but that kid on the 2-stroke is a danger to everyone. He came close a few times to taking out beginner riders. It’s an open ride day at that track and he needs to back off before someone gets seriously hurt. Not cool at all
Hogwash. No closer than AJ.
Have you ever been to a track before? 🤣
These cameras make you look way closer to each other than you really are in my experience.
@@DADSGETNDOWNwhat about he jumps into the guy and blows himself off track? Kid clearly was trying to show out for the camera and was pushing it hard with no care. It’s an open practice day not daytona. I’m all for getting your laps and practice in and pushing hard but know when to back off of ease up to avoid scaring or hurting a slow rider.
@@coreyploof217 I did not see him, jump into anyone. Nor blow himself off the track.
Kid fucking rips
20:00😂
Why don't you moto guys put a full visor on your helmet so you don't get the roost in your mouth. Also how is the GPF going?
Because it gets warm af under the visor and it would fog up. Goggles give you way more airflow for breathing and cooling your face
Where is cam??
He will now just be doing some of our larger projects 😁👍🏼
@@AjCatanzarogood. I saw he won his heat the other day. Props to you and him!!!
These videos piss me off. Dude is literally floating around the track, never hits limiter. Just momentum
There is no need to hit the limiter.
Hes on a 450 what do you expect??
That’s what it’s all about! Most fun & efficient way to ride 😁😁 I can teach people how to ride that way 👍🏼
It feels like my bike has to work twice as hard for me and I'm on a 450! 😂 I hate being a bigger guy...I'm doing a cut to 230lbs from 248lbs right now. Definitely skill involved too, cause I've noticed how much I've improved with momentum with my riding Coach - need to join Moto Academy after I get my suspension serviced and engine rebuilt in two weeks!
@@jonathondavis170 my friend is 240 and rides fluid. He wanted to work on it so I had him and others ride with me and show them how to be more efficient. I see too many ppl sit down way more than they should.
I love seeing the progress you look so much smoother! PS... hair lookin great
I would love to hit that 150' with my 125
Oh, so sorry for that guy blowing his bike up😢
I felt horrible 😥
