I recently played Tetris Effect again and I just...Started crying, again. Got shivers. It's one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever had while holding a controller. It really reminded me of so many thing...It's gorgeous. I highly recommend not looking up anything more than this video, and just playing through the journey mode. It's as the name implies: Quite the journey indeed. One of cultures, self discovery, emotion, beauty, passion, whatever you interprete into the experience. It's one of the most unique games I've ever played, and I am very thankful for it existing.
The single shot premise for this video in the span of one round of gameplay was highly effective for letting your thoughts flourish. Amazing work, MML.
I think Tetris Effect is simple enough to be probably the most open and candid example of how important every single element of a video game is to the experience. Everything that surrounds the gameplay can add to the experience and the emotions that the game elicits. That's why I hold Supergiant Games so near and dear to my heart :)
Honestly, I was so focused on the gameplay that I didn't pay attention to the commentary sometimes. Still a great thought-out philosophical video. Also, the game looks super fun so I might get it. Love me some Tetris and this looks phenomenal. P.S. You're really good at Tetris.
Dude this game's final level forces you to get good at Tetris. Like I didn't talk about this in the video at all but this game gets crazy hard later on!
Whilst I love the video, the background music gives me headache. I feel like I know It, but it sits so buried in the mix, that it is hard to digest. Is that a Cellar Darling remix or some other Anna Murphy stuff? The voice feels insanely familiar. Other than that missing reference in the info box, amazing work, as always. :)
Howdy! That song's actually from the Tetris Effect game itself, the track's called "Connected (Yours Forever)", it's by Hydelic. The music being higher in the mix was an intentional choice on my end; I apologize that it seemed to have an unintentional side effect for you. Definitely something for me to consider with future videos. Appreciate the feedback!

@@MMLCommentaries The final level is really tough, but getting it done is oh so satisfying. The music is beautiful and the visuals peaked!
