Quick thing about Jessie, she’s been out of the spotlight for few years because she had serious health troubles and also she was losing her passion for singing with the management pushing her to do songs that would do good on the radio but wouldn’t mean much to her. It is like a new Jessie now because she changed her management, found her passion for singing again and totally changed her lifestyle for health reasons. Now she’s ready to take over the world and she’s starting with China I guess lol I think she went on the show because she just loves to sing and they give them like 5 minutes to perform which I’ve never seen in American television. Anyways I’m so proud of her 😄 btw the band and the singers in the background are so amazing, i never used to pay attention to those but they are killing it over there!! This is "singer 2018" show in China. Total 14 episode, airing every Friday for 14 week straight. Jessie J is one if the 7 contestants. She has to perform a new song every week. Under the rule you can only sing your own song once, the rest have to be covers. This is the highest quality music shows in china. The lighting , camera, sound system , live orchestra, musicians are all top level. They all work together to bring out the best side of the Singer. I have looked at portions of the full episodes so that I could get some of the backstory and backdrop to Jessie J's process on the Singer. I have heard you mention how spectacular the musical arrangements are. They are without question one of the best bands I have ever heard. Week after week, singer after singer, the instrumentals are incredible. However, Jessie J is responsible for the direction and basis for the arrangements. As an example, when preparing for EARTH SONG, which I wish you would react to, she gives the musicians and backup singers directions and vocal demonstrations as to the sound she is looking for. I notice that she is very involved in the instrumentation. She has deep love and connection to the music as well as the lyrics she sings. Thanks again. Chai-Yehovah

I have always liked Jessie J and I really can't understand why she isn't a big deal here in the states. I'm glad she joined my fave chinese singing competition. The thing about this show is they have all the biggest stars come to compete. People who are already famous so that's probably why the band and the music is always on par. Theres also so much creative space for singers to put their own spin on classic songs. great show great singer.

It's a fact they will fine tune their performances, like pitch, breathing and volume. They will even hide singers' cracking parts. I've been watching the show since season1. That's how the show do. She may not need it but others do. That's why the so-called "King Of Pitchy" Wang Feng sounded pitch-perfect in his previous performances. You can search the finale in all seasons. Some singers who used to sound good turned out pitchy and having a mess🤷♂️
