This song really jumped out at me when I first played through Order of Ecclesia. It's so nice to hear the song remixed like this. The part at 2:20 really gets the blood pumping! Thank you!
+Power Serge Thanks! I first heard it in one of the trailers for Order of Ecclesia and I found myself rewatching the trailer over and over just for the music.
@@MalcolmRobinsonMusic this a old comment (I just found this channel) but I did the same thing. The atmosphere in that trailer was amazing. One of my favorite pieces of castlevania music. And that says a lot since I don’t think the franchise has one piece of bad music in it. Great remix btw 😀
2:20 - is the James Bond chord progression. Really adds the flavour of a covert "special agent" infiltrating a fortress, which is what these vampire-hunters are doing in the middle ages. A very nice touch.
Wow, can't believe I'm only now stumbling upon this. Most youtube orchestral remixes are ass and throw the essence of the theme away but you kept it intact; really digging this :)
+Guyver- 971 It's a term that some fans use to alternatively refer to the "Metroidvania" genre. Koji Igarashi is considered one of the "fathers" of Metroidvania games (despite Nintendo's Metroid being the first), starting with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night...hence "Igavania".
The only reason developers ever use the term “Igavania” is because they don’t want to get into trouble for saying “Metroid.” The term is still Metroidvania regardless.
+Malcolm Robinson Music If you do, could you try and arrange it in the style of the intro theme, rather than the theme used in the actual castle? I haven't heard anything like that anywhere on the internet no matter where I look.
+Alex K I know, right? I was listening to the Order of Ecclesia soundtrack the other day and I couldn't get this one out of my head. That seemed like as good a reason as any to remake it. Well, now that I've spent 20 hours making the thing, it's even more stuck in my head!
ok so i just found you while searching for some ff4 four fiends orchestrateds. And wow i cannot stop listening to all your stuff! I will be telling all i know to come and sub. These are fantastic.
+DissonantZero Thank you! I have quite a few more to do from this game and a few from Circle of the Moon as well. Actually, I think I'm going to do music from every Castlevania game from the first one up to Order of Ecclesia. I'll probably skip the N64 games though.
I'll eventually release everything online as digital cover albums licensed through Loudr, but I'm not sure if I'd ever have physical CD's made. Feel free to use a TH-cam to mp3 converter to download any of my stuff! :)
+DissonantZero Personally, I'm throwing in my vote for An Empty Tome, also from Ecclesia and one of the most awesome track in the series both in and out of context. EDIT: Never mind, I see you're already planning on it. :3
+MysticLaian Thanks! I'm trying to get better at the orchestra/rock hybrid style that a lot of classic video game music uses, so I figured this would be good practice. I'm glad you liked it!
+Malcolm Robinson Music No problem, man! I have a few requests, might as well let you know about this. Here they are: -"Divine Bloodlines" (also known as "Opposing Bloodlines" or Richter's theme), -"Poison Mind", -"Clocktower's Beat" ( originally from Haunted Castle and also known as "Underground Melodies" in Dawn of Sorrow), -"Prayer of the Tragic Queen" -"Iron Blue Intention" -"Calling from Heaven" -"Reincarnated Soul" and... "Wood Carving Partita" from Castlevania: SOTN, which is my favorite tune from the game. Symphony of the Night has one of the best soundtracks to be honest. There's more tunes in my mind (from other games) but I think that's enough for now :)
+MysticLaian Those are all great suggestions! I'll get around to most of them eventually, though it may take a while. Reincarnated Soul in particular is one that I've been planning to do for a while.
Un de mes morceaux préférés d'Order of Ecclesia, ce remix est magnifique ! pile ce que je cherchais ! J'espère que tu feras d'autres remix de castlevania ^^ (notamment de Portrait of Ruin, qui a mon OST préférée)
+gumbarius Thanks! I have a couple more tracks from Order of Ecclesia planned and many more from the other Castlevania games that Michiru Yamane composed the music for.
+gumbarius Sure. I'm planning to do Ecclesia (the intro/prologue theme) and An Empty Tome. Welcome to Legend is also a possibility. I usually don't post my lists of planned tracks because I often change my mind about which ones to do or I start them and put them on indefinite hold for some reason.
I'm planning to release a Castlevania album as soon as I get to 15 tracks. I'll also revise/redo some of my early covers for the album. Dance of Illusions in particular is in need of a full revision.
@@MalcolmRobinsonMusic Thanks for the answer. Not to be rude or anything, but may I suggest you incorporate parts of other in-game arrangements when you do the revisions? For example, if you include Aquarius, you use both the CV3 and Circle of the Moon arrangements, same for Clockwork. If you use Dance of Illusions, why not use parts from Yasushi Asada's arrangement in Castlevania: Judgment, parts from the CotM version, and other parts from the version that plays in Akumajo Dracula: The Arcade? Keep in mind these are just suggestions. Don't feel obligated to implement them. I just think it'd help your revisions stand out even more.
That makes sense and it's actually something I do, but it hasn't been reflected in the Castlevania covers I've released so far, as most of them have only one version. It's important to note that for the purpose of cover licensing, I have to choose a track from a specific soundtrack. For example, I can't get a license for Bloody Tears in general, but I can get one for Bloody Tears from the Super Castlevania IV soundtrack. I can still add elements from other versions, but probably not the longer completely new parts. For example, I couldn't declare that I'm covering Sinking Old Sanctuary from Bloodlines and then add in the totally new parts from Tojima's CotM version. However, I could cover the CotM version and use minor elements like the tempo and some extra harmonies from the Bloodlines version. The latter example is actually something I've been working on.
I'm doing a cover of this for a 30th Anniversary Castlevania covers album. I'm trying to avoid making it sound too much like your version lol. This is amazing btw. I think you might dig the stuff I'm working on too. My album has a more Post-Punk/Synthwave feel, while retaining all of the orchestral elements that made CV music so damn good to start with.
That's an awesome orchestral remaster ! Congrats !! I also made one, by the way. Perhaps you'll like it too : /watch?v=6BuaptX8F68 I can't decide which one I prefer between the two. Yours appears more faithful.
You could do a whole channel just on Castlevania... it's so rich in music. Hope to hear more soon!

You Sir, just got yourself a sub! Long Live Castlevania!
Yeah!
This is so neat. Brings childhood memories to a new level.

Easily one of my more favorite Castlevania themes. :D
Order of Ecclesia is one of the best "Igavania" games in the series.
Igavania ?

White Raven Metroidvania yes i know it, but Igavania lol i never hear dat
Order of Ecclesia > SotN
Best OST, best difficulty, best character....
The only reason developers ever use the term “Igavania” is because they don’t want to get into trouble for saying “Metroid.”

Never hit a subscribe button faster in my life
Excellent work ! Best version so far of this theme..
i hope hear your vercion of "and empty tome" i love this one so much
+karimalastor I'd really like to (re)make An Empty Tome someday. I think it has a lot in common with this track.
+Malcolm Robinson Music If you do, could you try and arrange it in the style of the intro theme, rather than the theme used in the actual castle? I haven't heard anything like that anywhere on the internet no matter where I look.
Excellent work my friend
holy shit dude this is some high quality orchestration remixes. just found this channel and the rest of your videos are absolutely amazing. subed

Fantastic! The brass really sells it.
Catchy as hell!

Brilliant remix and great track choice. The DS games were underrated.
playing portrait of ruin, can confirm

Awesome work
We need more of this 😆😅
Masterpiece
Thank you!
Loved this game and its tunes, good job as always. Another! another! :D

HYPEHYPEHYPE yes circle of the moon. Thank you for your hard work. Im sure its not easy
+Malcolm Robinson Music Oh food for thought, if you get enough support, get some projects on cd and ill buy, the meantime, am I allowed to mp3 these?

Beautiful arrange!
I'm sure Michiru-san would love your remixes! You should show this to her. :D
very nice
Ok this is great.
Very nice job. Please make more stuff from Order of Ecclesia, because the music of this game is so awesome.

Never played this game, but DAMN I like this song you have made
Thank you! It always feels good to hear that people like my arrangements without ever having played the game.
@@MalcolmRobinsonMusic please Castlevania portrait of ruin soundtrack called (piercing silence)
This is incredible - and so close to the original too!
order of ecclesia
I never played that one, but it sounds fucking kick ASS! :D
that last drunk trumpet tho
Damn son,now I can't unhear that drunk trumpet in the end.
you still doing those super epic remixes?
You should consider compiling your Castlevania tunes and selling them at Bandcamp. I'd definitely pay to have your rendition of Ghostly Theatre.

Nice :3
Hm... how about "Dracula's Castle" of Castlevania Symphony of Night?
+Александр Кадо I've always really liked that track! It's on my list, so I'll get around to it eventually. :)
Malcolm Robinson Music
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey ^0^)/
Good luck озо
While we are on the subject of SOTN, A Marble Gallery Orchestrated remix would be fantastic whenever you get around to it!
on 40s+ i feel like its Dracula VS Goku :D
Some of the parts of this interpretation make me think of one thing:
"The names Belmont..... Simon Belmont"
Cute
this feels like bayonetta material
+latiosfreak2000 How dare you insult Castlevania ?
+Seo Vania how is that insulting? yeah yeah castlevenia is cool and all but this really feels like bayonetta
Will you please explain why? (Just curious on where the similarity is :) )
