I have many of those albums and picture discs- originals! I live in the U.K. In Caversham, Berks. I can cycle through the country lanes to Friar Park in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, about 7 miles- his place is bigger than mine!!! Thanks for your generosity and time in filming and posting this.
At 7:39, that cover is the painting of the Bhagavad gita, or Lord Krishna and Arjuna, on the Battlefield of Kuruksetra, speaking the highest spiritual knowledge known to man.. Most George fans may not know this..
Thanks Mark. I was excited to see this as I don't have (as yet) all of his albums on vinyl, but I remember my excitement at unboxing the ATMP boxed set. I play my vinyls seeing as I'll never sell them. Playing my vinyls are for special occasions. How I adore what George had given us all. Bless.
I have a copy of the original VYNL cover as well as the 4 replaced songs of Somewhere in England. Interesting cover. Says 1980 as it was going to be released in late October of that year.
My original pressing of Somewhere in England has it as "Teardrops". I have 2 copies of the Dark Horse LPs and one was black and white the other a light powder blue. The reissue has the blue slightly darker. I wonder why they didn't include the Concert for Bangla-Desh?
Mark P. I know the sound is amazing 😉. Are you into guns and roses?? because man they have two box sets that are coming out that I wanna get. Can’t wait to get it!! Planning to get the deluxe. The other is way too much 💵
A lot of people mention that. I'm not sure why it wasn't included. My only guesses are: A) it's a various artists album and not technically a solo George album. B) there may have been legal issues getting all the artist's record labels to allow it to be released in the set. I think even when it was originally released there were issues with option B mentioned above since it was all for charity and their labels wanted to make money off it.
I’ve only played three albums in this set. It’s best just to look at these objects of rare vinyl beauty and just play your cds, downloads or original records. This set is far too precious for spinning on a turntable. 🕉
I've played all the records and I think they all sound really great. It is easier to play the CDs but once in a while I'll listen to these because they sound so good. Thanks for watching:)
De cloud nine (1987) a brainwashed (2001) existe um hiato muito grande de 14 anos. Ele praticamente não fez nenhum CD com canções inéditas nos anos 90.
I don't think the mistakes are that. Collectors love em and I believe they are intentional. My problem with these collections are that I would never open them let alone ever play them. But still would love to own it.
Someone goofed the Apple B side should be a Half cut Apple not 2 sides full labels I have the Original from All things must pass Album mine a orange Apple
That is because yours is a U.S. pressing. All UK pressings came with full apples on sides 1, 2, 3 and 4. Never seen an original U.K. pressing with half apples. Discogs and Record Collector don’t mention it ever coming with half apples either.
so whaaa? this only is a vinyl thingie? Electronic Sound is my favourite 60's album I have the first cd release a remaster and a vinyl copy. I also like Wonderwall and All Things Must Pass and the master work produced by Jeff Lynne Cloud 9. The two Jeff Lynne Co written tracks shows how to make exquisite dynamite track the take centre stage on the album, really good. Moreover I have been waiting for Living In the Material World, there is no indication for me when it arrives and I do not know how to get a hold of the Apple years box and I have also been wanting to here Gone Troppo for years, No I am torn Vinyl is sensitive and inconvient for me and I only have a setup for vinyl only with built in speakers bah, I do not know what to do? Anyone able to help my find a CD boxed set, I do own, Brain Washed have not been listening to it in a long time, thought I had lost it before but I really liked it
Yes this box set is only available in vinyl format. Each of the albums are available individually on vinyl except for the picture disc. There was the Apple Years and Dark Horse Years box sets on CD a while back but they are a little expensive at this point unless you can find them on eBay or somewhere else cheaper.
I still can't understand why they omitted Poor Little Girl/Cheer Down Single and Concert for Bangladesh.
The original sleeve for Wonderwall was standard black Apple. The picture of George was an insert.

I will probably get this someday but it is quite expensive even now
That insert in "Wonderwall Music" wasn't the original inner sleeve. it was an insert that was included with the album.
Sorry, didn't mean to sound like mister know-it-all. But I spent a few months searching for an original copy with that insert. Wasn't easy.
That’s a REALLY cool wallpaper in the background!!
It's an Anthology poster.
Ahh. I thought I recognized it
Parabéns Mark, e, obrigado por nos mostrar esta relíquia.
Thankk você para conferir o vídeo!
So nice I love the box set . Thanks for showing it . Take care .
Georgeous Packaging you mean

Have you played these. I love these box sets I can’t just have them on display I play all mine.
Mr LennonAxl Yes I've played all of them and the sound is amazing.

They are digital, I wouldn't expect much
George must be honerd to see this...damn...so well done...blew my fkn mind...damn.
I'm surprised they didn't include The Concert For Bangla Desh.

I so need this Mark! Nice vid mate. 👍🏻😃🇦🇺
The Oompah Roundabout Yes it's a little pricey but I am really impressed with the set and glad I was able to get it. Thanks for watching!

Mark P. They do sound fantastic. Interestingly enough my subwoofer only activates with these vinyl records and nothing else in my collection😅
De cloud nine (1987) a brainwashed (2001) existe um hiato muito grande de 14 anos. Ele praticamente não fez nenhum CD com canções inéditas nos anos 90.
I can probably scrape up $300 somehow... granted, it won't be legal, but who cares?
I wish Pink Floyd would do a vinyl set
I don't think the mistakes are that. Collectors love em and I believe they are intentional. My problem with these collections are that I would never open them let alone ever play them. But still would love to own it.
Magnifico.
Lindo demais
Parabens rapaz.
Take care with that outer sleeves with adhesive strip, I damage a record by accident I put an artwork the adhesive strip and the paper rip off.
Looks like an amazing box but very $$&. I picked up the real mastered vinyl of 33 1/3 on its own. One day I will get this box.
Great video as always!
Gorgeous packaging.
Omg....I would love to own this, but, won't refinance my home.....lmao!
Dizziemiss Lizzie It is a bit pricey, I'll admit. But if you can save up for it, it's a great quality set of music.
OK...so are these better-sounding than the original lp's ...and the later CDs?
To my ears I feel that these sound better than the original LP's. Probably equal to the most recent CD's that are available.
🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Neat!

How much did you get it for?
killerghost78 I purchased through Music Direct. They had a 20% off code and free shipping so it was $319 total.
Mark P. Woah. On Amazon its around 400 and in other sites. Pretty sweet deal you got there.
nice box set
Again glossy, not laminated covers.

Does it have a turntable with it?
Andrie Alinsangao No this didn't come with a turntable. Although a George Harrison turntable is available for purchase separately.
hey Mark who is your favorite Beatles from Favorite to Least like for example mine is Paul John George and Ringo whats your Favorite to Least Beatle
That's hard, there are things I like about each one. But if I had to rank them it would probably go 1 - George, 2 - Paul, 3 - John, 4 - Ringo.
WoW... really ??
I dont need tnhis box
Very nice boxset!
