Actually that’s not true. This is one of those things he says where he saying something that’s kind of accurate but it’s dishonest. It was not a failed nation. It was a nation that was destroyed in a generation.
It was not destroyed because of slavery. He was destroyed because the United States didn’t want it to become it’s own country. They didn’t go down there and say OK now we’ve beaten you and freed the slaves if you guys ever get any more slaves well be back here good luck with your country.
For this statement to of been accurate? They would’ve had to of been left to their own devices. And most people economists and what not believe that had they not been invaded by the north? They would’ve probably been one of the top three economies in the world today. They would’ve been a super power.

thank you for realizing that about yourself. We're not all the stereotype. Sadly enough of us are that people can make a fair go at saying 'it isn't racist if it's true.' I disagree with that line of thinking because it allows for a zero thought mindset, but still.

@@singletona082 thanks I just wanted to be clear it wasn't a deep prejudice or anything, really more of a subtle bias-for example if someone had a southern accent I may subconsciously be faster to dismiss their opinions or assume things about them. It's tough because association is a large part of how we learn, as @bladestorm viking said understanding takes time and it's easy to fall into what I would label "intellectual laziness". Couple that with our natural predisposition towards tribalism and it's easy to see how it happens. It really does take effort not to fall into that trap.

      Genocide, destruction, and enslavement.
There is more blood on America's hands than all other nation's in human history combined.

You're right about the new South. About 20 years ago I lived for a while in Kentucky. Louisville was beautiful, but had some odd ideas.
    There were no sidewalks.
During fundraising season, school kids were put in the street on fast roads, standing on the stripes at intersections, asking for donations during red lights.
People who wanted to turn around simply drove over center islands and into oncoming traffic.
I'm asthmatic, but the city charter of Louisville outlaws any laws restricting smoking. The worst offender was the Arbies right next to Tiger Woods high school. Kids sitting in the thickest cloud of smoke I ever saw.
I quit going to fast food places because only teenagers worked there, and they refused me service because of my west coast accent. They served those before and after me, but said they were closed- to me. Worst offender: Sonic.
The Newcomers Club had to limit membership to 7 years because the locals were so clannish. Locals told me again and again, "If you warn't BORN in Kentucky, you don't BELONG IN KENTUCKY."
But the blindness wasn't confined to the locals. One day I was driving back from Indiana (cause I warn't BORN in Kentucky), and heard the mayor of Louisville say that it would be the next Silicon Valley. I laughed so hard I almost had an accident. People from California with valuable skills have a fair amount of power over where they live and work. I sure did. But not here. After luring us to come, they dropped their offer to half what they promised to pay and demoted us from technical writers to secretaries but required us to write the same manuals. Our resumes were online before close of business that day. We ended up going to Indiana, home to the KKK, and a much more liberal state. But every time we drove across the river we had a good laugh. On a rusted out Widowmaker of a bridge, a very small, very rusted sign says:
    Kentucky- where education pays!
    Not in this lifetime.
    Love your work, Beau.
    Peace,

They could've used pirate flags to symbolize that. (Since they were the og. Rebels.) But when literally everyone around you speaks with southern pride, uses that flag, it takes those of us who are willing to stop the "family traditions" and go against the grain, which we're typically shunned for. You know, I’m an immigrant just like anybody else other than the Native American. I just wonder why after having 2 Bachelor degrees degree, 1 Masters, 1 professional Doctoral and working on a second one and I have been in this country for 25 years but even with those degrees, I still get treated like my brain function is that of the earliest Homo sapiens. It’s just amazing. One of the things I did when I came to this country was to to read tons of books on American history and slavery. We really have a bloody past but I don’t understand why we pretend nothing ever happened despite all the Southern systematic legislatures just to disenfranchise people of color. Imagine how economically rich the South would have been compared to the North or West, had they not cut off their nose just to spite their face all in the name of putting the “black person here he belongs? Really, truly incredible. Great job on educating people who need to know. Keep it up.

@barney flint There is no archaeological evidence to support the contention that Native Americans are migrants. The "no Native Americans" claim is eugenicist in origin.
Native Americans have a unique ancestral origin not generically linked to other groups:
Our work provides strong evidence that, in general, Native Americans are more closely related to each other than to any other existing Asian populations, except those that live at the very edge of the Bering Strait,” said Kari Britt Schroeder, a lecturer at the University of California, Davis, and the first author on the paper describing the study.
“While earlier studies have already supported this conclusion, what’s different about our work is that it provides the first solid data that simply cannot be reconciled with multiple ancestral populations,” said Schroeder, who was a Ph.D. student in anthropology at the university when she did the research.

      James,
Some folks usually latch on to whatever they can grab if they feel they're about to drown.
I have found that when folks feel they have no base, no connection, no direction, and they hear other folks talking about their own accomplishments, or endeavours (self worth), it sometimes makes 'em crow like a rooster so that all the folks in the room turn their heads. This will make 'em feel; "special, important, godlike" (oh, look what I can do when I talk loud).
When you're around folks like that, you don't admire them, you pity them, because you immediately know their minds' are like children's minds; dangerous children, but still children.
Continue with your adult endeavours. It is not our responsibility to educate them, for they are legally adults. Just know that eventually their mouths will cause them to write checks that their azzez can't cash. "Circle of life", as they say.

Yeah that’s a lie. That’s not actually how that happened. Yes smallpox did nearly obliterate the American Indians but it had nothing to do with blankets the army handed out. Matter fact that entire story is conjecture at best more than likely not accurate.
Not to mention the flag is a symbol and it’s not an act. It mean something entirely different today. Well to most of us. There are still a few assholes that use it as a representation of their racism.

      Ok
Bo has a tendency to take whatever side has brown people on it. This can be evidenced by his conflicting dynamics.
For example he makes a video in which he discusses what it’s like to be black in America. In this video he explains that black people in America have had their culture ripped away from them. This is a lie.
If you videos later he will make a video about dreamers. The DACA.
In this video he’s in illustrates how these people were brought here by their parents. When they were very young. They’ve been raised here their whole lives. This is their culture. They know nothing of their other cultures. This is the American way is their culture. In fact they’re more American than a lot of Americans....blah blah blah...
So which is it? I mean most black people in America were born here. What culture is it that’s been ripped away from them?
He’s a smart guy I don’t give me wrong. But you need to understand you’re dealing with somebody who is a trained speaker.
The use terms that are intended to elicit positive response. He’s using key phrases.
Just like pretty much this entire video...
He has and almost 100% reliability rate in regards to Considering any action involving people of color under negative circumstances as being completely racially motivated. For example in this video when he says the phrase “unless that’s not the heritage that you’re talking about”...But will make 60% of an analyzation and then jump immediately from there to the conclusion of racism. He will do this every time...
He does the same thing with women’s issues anything of the sort.
Almost his entire assessment of this situation is wrong.
Don’t get me wrong. A lot of times he hits the nail right on top of the head. But sometimes? No. Hell no.

@@theheretic3764 At this point, I'm pretty sure I misinterpreted your character. I thought you were a decent southerner, but I'm starting to understand that you're the other kind.
You may think you are reasonable, and logical, Justin, but what you are is apathetic and unwilling to try to understand the world, without bias. You let your bias define you. That's why you feel that you need the confederate flag in your life.
I had a big long reply planned out in my head about how I was going to show you every way in which you're wrong, but I have better things to do. I have work I have to get done - good work, that helps people.
I might also add that you have no idea who you are talking to. I have over ten years of experience in marketing and I can almost guarantee that I know much, much more about analyzing demographics and appealing to a target audience - then you do. I analyze everything I see and hear, and I also do extensive amounts of research on political issues - stats, studies, the works. I don't take a stance until I do my research.
Which is why I know it's very obvious you haven't done yours. You wouldn't feel this way about the black struggle if you had.
Anyways...you have no idea what it's like to be black. Nor do I. Nor do Beau. But you know what the difference is between people like Beau and myself and people like you? We try to understand, and we're honest about our feelings. In my case, I also study these issues for better understanding. Beau? I believe he speaks directly from the heart, and I love that simplicity in him. He's a breath of fresh air, and an inspiration. Just a good man who loves his family, who has feelings about the world, who is sharing his thoughts. His "just a thought"s. You could stand to take a leaf out of Beau's book.
Your point is logically flawed due to false equivalence, but I don't feel like getting into it with you. I like having detailed conversations with people...but not people like you. You'll cling to death to your beliefs even though they're completely unfounded and statistically, scientifically, or logically inaccurate, because that is how you define your identity. You take pride in being stubborn and being a rebel without a cause. I can't help you there. I don't have the time, patience, or inclination to try to persuade you to see sense and exercise empathy. I would say that I hope you take a look at your ideologies...but oh well. It is what it is.
As for me, I have to work. I have more important things to spend my time on...because I want to help this country. Good luck to you sir and have a nice evening.

Alika Kianga sure. What would you base the belief that you understand me to be the other kind on?
I don’t think that I am reasonable and logical I am reasonable and logical. Which is why you’re making assertions but refusing to substantiate any of them. As for me being apathetic? I would ask you what you base that on at all. But then I would also feel the need to inform you that it would be completely irrelevant concerning whether or not I was reasonable and logical. As to the claim that I refuse to Try and understand the world without bias? You have no basis for that whatsoever other than that I disagree with your position.
As for me needing the confederate flag in my life? I think you should go back and read some of our previous conversations. You either don’t keep up with information very well or you’ve said something deliberately deceptive.
As for your big long reply planned out and wish you were going to show me every way that I was wrong? I’m calling you a liar. I am telling you you can’t do it. In fact I dare you to do it. I dare you to go and find 23 members of your PR team which will get to in a minute and give it your best shot. Refute a single thing that I’ve said in the statement we are currently discussing. You do not have better things to do. You understand that if you attempt to you will fail.
As to whom I am talking to? I would say neither do you. I would say that your 10 years of experience in marketing makes no never mind in this situation in terms of knowledge. In fact I would go toe to toe with you any day. Especially if I had a computer where I was able to respond more effectively.
Let me tell you what you being in marketing means. You kind of confessed to it. I can guarantee you that you’re wrong.
You see you’re in marketing. Which means you don’t analyze demographics for accuracy. Your goal is appealing. What someone wants.
Which you and I both know involves appealing to them emotionally...Not factually. Or employing the use of doublespeak do you realize a statement that is technically factual but very misleading. More on that in a moment...
As for you not taking a stance Until you’ve researched it? Or being able to tell that I have not done my own research? I’m calling you a liar. In fact I would wager a small fortune that I can challenge you on very nearly any stance and beat you with the stats and statistics. As well as the studies. You might be able to understand what the results of the study were but you don’t understand how they are applied.
What exactly did I say about the black struggle? Other than that no black man in this country today has had his culture ripped away from him if he was born here.
I don’t believe you study anything. I think you repeat what you’ve read. Trying to understand I’m being honest about your feelings? Noble but irrelevant.
No he does not speak from the heart. As I told you before he is a trained speaker... he is doing the same thing you were doing. He is appealing to a demographic. He is applying doublespeak in many instances where he says things that are factually true but Misleading. Careful miss. You’re letting your bias show through. His “just a thought” is a disclaimer...Again. Something he has put a lot of thought into. He and I have had a conversation that you are unaware of. That a lot of people are in aware of. I’ve noticed that he chooses his wording very carefully.
Oh there is no false equivalency here. Therefore my point is not logically flawed. His point is logically inconsistent. Once again I dare you to prove me wrong. You do not feel like getting into it Because you understand that if you never get in the ring with someone they can’t beat you.
What belief have I stated that is statistically scientifically Or logically inaccurate? It’s time to put up or shut up. Now you’re starting to piss me off. Give me your best shot and I will destroy you. That’s enough open bald-faced call out in fact I’ll tell you what. Let’s make it easy. Pick one statement that I made in the previous comment of this thread and disapprove it. Tell me why it’s wrong. Just one.
You understand nothing about sense and less than nothing about empathy. Empathy does not mean acceptance. Empathy does not mean agreement.
Let me help you understand empathy very quickly. I’ll do you this favor because I have a feeling you’re going to be too much of a coward to actually attempt to take me on.
Imagine a Post cataclysmic scenario. There are quite a few that are entirely plausible just pick one. So here I and my family are. Maintaining our farm. Whatever happened happened about six months ago most people have already perished...Survivors are clustered together in very isolated groups or just as an isolated unit. For the most part.
I have put back food and water prepared my shelter. I Was prepared for this event. My family and I could survive the next 10 years on just my storage supply alone.
One day my son and I are out maintaining an offsite supply source perhaps a garden when we encounter a man and his two children. They are Obviously starving and have attempted to feed them selves on some of the things growing in this garden. Being as they were indisposed they didn’t see me approach and I got the drop on them. The man’s weapon never came into play.
This man turns to me and begged me for food. He explains to me that he has three starving children. Just as I have two children. Their mother has gotten injured and is unable to travel. If they cannot find food... he the two children with him his wife and the infant child that they have left with its mother will die.
Now here’s the thing. I cannot feed this man. Because the next time he gets hungry he will be back. I need this food for my family. Sure I have 10 years worth of storage put back. But I may have to use that let’s say we have a famine or a bad crop... that food has a 20 year shelflife. Which gives me a 20 year buffer against mishap or misfortune.
Do you know why I am going to kill this man and his three children and his wife?
      Empathy. And sympathy.
You see I can empathize. I know what I would do to feed my children. I know what I would do to protect and provide for my own. That means that as I told you before I cannot just feed this man but if I send him away? I know what I would do. I would come back in the night. I would do whatever horrible things to the people that had food that it took to provide Food for my own. Even if that meant finding someone else telling them you knew where food was and organizing a raiding party.
I will kill his wife and his three children out of sympathy. Starvation is a very painful way to die. As is dehydration. Her becoming weekend and then eaten by some animal who will not be so considerate in the painlessness of their deaths....Sympathy will prevent me from leaving an infant laying there screaming and hunger until it dies. Sympathy will prevent me from allowing a mother to have to sit there and watch that or make the decision to end the life of the child on her own.
You people don’t understand sympathy or empathy or any of the things that you try to call down. You don’t understand that being able to empathize? Has nothing to do with accepting.
Just like if you’ve ever had an uncontrollable urge to do anything that was so powerful you couldn’t stop yourself then you can empathize with a pedophile.
But that doesn’t mean You’re going to accept it does it? It doesn’t make it factually true or logical or accurate.
      Help the country what?
As for taking a leaf from Beau?
Why would I want to do that? Every issue I have openly challenged him on I have won.
He utilizes a technique. This technique is applied by using an emotional argument that you presented as a factual or logical one. As was the case and some of the examples.
You can spot these because they don’t track from issue to issue. I gave you an example of how to spot this in persons waving a “confederate” flag.
They will tell you it’s a symbol of rebellion in a symbol of a willingness to fight for what you believe in. But such a symbol? Would be universal in race. So when they tell you that’s what it means and then get uncomfortable with you waving it or it touching the ground?
Let’s just say you can track a persons morality By its consistent logical progression.
Bobo does not do this. He does not track consistently logically. I on the other hand do.

    Let me tell y’all something:
I’m from a small South Carolina town, very old, and in the plantation days, it was home to some of the wealthiest plantation owners with some of the largest slave populations in the country. This town has a lot of incredibly important history including being the town where the Rhetts came from. For those who are unaware, Robert Barnwell Rhett Jr. is known as “ The Father of Secession”. He was actually nicknamed a “fire-eater” for being so passionate about it. He was from Charleston but the rest of his family were very much from my home town. His brother Edmund Rhett has his summer home in the town, and one afternoon Edmund and his brother gathered many other officials in the base of the house to draft the first papers of secession. The house still stands today and is forever known as “Secession House” for that monumental moment.
Their direct descendants are still living in that town today. They do not celebrate their history with confederate flags.
So I’d love to know what “history” some hick thinks they are preserving by plastering it on the back of their pickup. A civil war is a broken time in a nation’s history. It is something every other country in the world recognizes as shameful. I find it ironic how many of these folks who are “devout southerners” to put it nicely are the same people screaming about their constitutional rights. But they celebrate the confederacy? Wait...what?

I’ve always loved flags, ever since I was in kindergarten. In my home country like 99% of other countries though, there’s not a lot of flags being on display left and right all over the place, all year long. When I came to America I noticed just the asthma amounts of flags, American flags, or just American themed displays, in places like schools or government buildings it made sense, but these were for the most part displayed on businesses, just everywhere, I remember my mom and us, naively going like “wow they are so patriotic, how proud they are”.
But these displays were even more pronounced on businesses, and I begun to think about the reasons for that, and I remember that around American military bases around the world, you’d see those red white and blue all around, from the base installations, and then outside, and spearing further and further in those places in other countries.
It would take me a while to make sense of all of this, from seeing these colored logos as cool arts when I was in elementary school. It took me 2 years at least to grow up and start connecting the dots, by the time 9/11 happened, it all made more sense, how those displays of what people had insisted were symbols of patriotism, it all filled their true purpose, how they were a political project, that would invoke memories in the American people, from the era surrounding those events from the defense of fort M'Henry, s as d then after 9/11, republicans lead by George bush, would emphasize things, what other presidents of the 20th century hinted at, Bush really embarked on that train of thought (or fighter jets carriers oversees) to turn that honest patriotism from the American people, into nationalism of the worst kind.
That unwavering nationalistic support from the people would give him a green card to even go after old allies to the American people (France, Germany) and international institutions that were put in place to try and prevent a future Nuremberg trial. These institutions, countries, got attacked by the very same nationalist propaganda seen before by the axis of evil, all the bush administration did was exchange, the demonizing of the Jewish people, to the demonizing of Muslims, and to make it more palatable for the world, and specially the American people, their strategy just centered on telling Americans how those Muslims Americans, they were good, because they were living inside the invisible line on the map, but those Muslims outside our boarders they were innately evil, because they grew up out there, without the overlords in DC.
You must be wondering what’s my point, talking about nationalism and flags in America, the most powerful military power ever known to men. I just bring it up because by the time I’ve been living in America, coming from a poor background in South America, from the outskirts of American capitalism, and was only 15 years old, I was able to tell what was going on, in my home country Studying in poor public schools I was never a straight A’s student, but arriving in America, and just starting to learn English, on a public school system in such a historic city like Philadelphia, by the time I was 15, 16 years old, I knew more then my American classmates.
I knew more about American politics than the American kids, you know I would love to pull a Meghan McCain and brag about my individual achievements, how my brain, my knowledge was beyond the average American. But that would be a lie.
The truth is that I wasn’t as propagandized, and when it came time to paying attention to the world news (at that point it was more about American news) I was paying attention to the policies, the ideas, not the sex lives of the politicians of the times.
Just saying, maybe that’s what contributed in formatting my views on politics based on something that Beau points out here, ideas, and policies, not people and parties, so maybe our way out of this mess not just in America but the entire western civilization, maybe the solutions to all these problems we are facing right now is simply focusing on principles and not personalities, if I’m not mistaken, this cult of personality is what’s been destroying our countries.
Ps long texts may be annoying to read but it’s an exercise we need to practice, this is how we learn to be free thinkers, instead of talking heads programmed by talking points.

As an Australian I don't suppose my views matter much to y'all. Having lived in Alabama for a year a couple of decades ago I was captivated by true Southern Hospitality, which is far more gracious and genuine than anything evident in my own country. I also came quickly to the view that folks who flew the Confederate Flag were, by any objective standard, racists. The"heritage" they often referred to was the heritage of slavery and to be honest, at least with me, most of them didn't hide it. It has ever been and remains the most pervasive cause of social disunity.
Over the last twenty or so years the perception of Americans, and Southerners in particular, has changed in Australia, your staunchest military ally, from great admiration to despair and in many cases contempt. The rejection of facts as a basis for political conversation, the change from Reagan's "Beacon on the Hill" to "Fuck off immigrant", the ever widening gap between rich and poor, and critically your national inability to even have a factual discussion about Health Care, has seen the average Aussie go from admirer of the US to openly laughing. It reminds me of the collapse of the Soviet Union; we feared them until we realised that their greatest weapon was bluff and bluster. Nobody takes the White House seriously and your Congress is the leading example of Failed Democracy.
Having said all that I congratulate you Sir for proving that there is still a well formed mind and a compassionate soul beating in America. I am sure that that mind and that soul, for so long an inspiration to the world, can once again assume a place of leadership if as a Nation you all realise that your neighbours are not your enemies and that you all have infinitely more inn common than you do apart.
Great video mate. Peace, Love and Joy to you.

Gareth Barlow I think your opinion matters. The comparison to russia seems apt and also breaks my heart a little. I had so much hope after the end of the USSR.
Back then, people from both super powers were sick and tired of the cold war. Many of us were looking for a fresh start.
If only we'd helped them more with their transition to democracy maybe things would be different now. Maybe what happened there was inevitable.
Now we're failing and our friends in Europe, Australia and elsewhere look at our self-destruction with sadness and concern. We know you know there are still good people here, that we're not all jerks.
I also have hope we can rise above this, better than we were before.

Gareth Barlow Sorry to hear that you feel that way, we still love Australia. And this gentleman in this video is the norm for a southern man, don't believe everything you hear in the liberal media!!! We DO NOT hate immigrants, for that matter America allows more people to come here "LEGALLY" per year then probably all other countries combined. What we don't like is Mexicans and others sneaking over here some already pregnant to have their baby and if you are born here that makes your child a US citizen and gives you rights to all of our government programs like free food and housing. Not to mention by coming here illegally they haven't went through the proper health screening such as being up to date on shots and they are bringing in diseases like a strain of tuberculosis that our medicine has no effect on or bed-bugs which have been extinct in this country for centuries. Also the Mexican government is helping them to cross over because it helps their economy, Mexicans come here and live sometimes 5-10 families to one home so they can wire all of their money to family back home in mexico. In 2016 Mexicans sent home over 69 BILLION dollars, that's "B" as in billion and it's hurting our economy, between that and all of the gov assistance they get it's killing us. But we're not heartless we welcome anyone that wants to come here as long as they do it legally and are not a burden on us.
And as for health care, the democrats would not allow any republicans to have any say in our health care and if you go back and check you'll see how the dems went behind closed doors in secret to write the bill, with a ton of pork in it that has nothing to do with health I might add. But every time a republican stated their health care plan the dems would shoot it down yet they call republicans the party of no. It's not that we don't like health care, it's we don't like the more than 20,000 page Obamacare, which they didn't allow anyone to even read it before they passed it.
And as far as not wanting to have civil discussions have you seen the news lately or youtube?! The right want's to talk but all the left want's to do is scream obscenities and call names. But Australian's know all about that don't you, you guys just about lynched a female conservative american speaker recently probably over what you heard about her on the news without checking her out yourselves.
And taking the WH seriously, everyone keeps forgetting that the American people put exactly who we wanted to in office "A Business Man". We DIDN'T want another politician because they are whats ruining this country. And isn't it funny how everyone loved Trump when he was just a billionaire, before he became a REPUBLICAN president? I could bet you $100 dollars that if he had ran as a democrat he'd be treated like a king in the media.
Don't believe anything that you hear and only half of what you see, there's always another perspective.

I am a Japanese living in the US. Over 10 years ago I went to North Calorina. I hadn't paid any attention to American history or social justice back then, but I was really afraid to go, from the general impression I had passively acquired through books and movies. I went to breakfast at the hotel, and I was met by this really welcoming, chill, warm people who gave me an illusion that I was eating their family recipe grits at their home. It was a Sunday. Outside our room window, we could see the side street filling up with church goers, dressed nicely in chuch clothes, hats and all, having pleasant conversations. Because I was traveling, my interactions were mostly with store clerks and service staff. Different energy than where I am used to seeing on West Coast. Interactions were much warmer and less business like. Southern hospitality is a real thing. I really enjoyed my time and I was sad to leave. In rural America where I live, it can be hostile here. I see the Battle Flag from time to time. As I comment here in 2021, the current American Flag feels like it's reprenting something else sometimes. When I see an American Flag on a vehicle, I flinch.

It was the first flag put forth to represent the confederacy.
But more importantly... it was used universally throughout the war...as its specific design was the most neutral and universal to all of the multiple causes being fought for by the south... unlike “the stainless banner” for example...

Today l learned that the flag hanging from the house of a guy in my neighborhood was a battle flag of Virginia and NOT officially for the whole of the CSA. I only knew about the battle flag part
Just goes to show what our education system chooses to leave out, and that it’s never, ever too late to keep upgrading my education.
    Thanks Beau 👊🏽

I am so glad you said all this. When I went into the Army it was my first experience with Southern people. As a Northerner I just didn't understand the whole Rebel/Heritage thing. I asked my brother and sister soldiers why would you want to hold onto being on the wrong side of slavery and a failed attempt at treason? I was told it wasn't about slavery, it was about states rights and heritage. I didn't understand and they couldn't articulate what that meant exactly. So, I just accepted that I didn't really understand because I wasn't raised to understand it. I let it go. Continuing to push the point just pissed people off. I'm glad my instincts about it all weren't wrong.

So refreshing to hear the real American truths. Beau, you make honesty, smooth and syrupy on the lips and so, so cleansing to the soul. Thanks again for just being an American that's for humanity in America! ! !

Imma be real. I don't give anybody a pass on the confederate flag. Reason being I wish nobody had given me a pass when I was walking around pretending to be a dangerous person with gang colors on thinking I was all big and bad. Where would I be if nobody had sat me down and talked to me about it?

I don’t think the pass the gangbanger meant was ‘He won’t sit and chat with them’. I think the gangbanger meant he wouldn’t act outrightly violently towards them because they are ´dumb kids’

Hey Beau, I’m a Southern expat from a Southern city that most people, even Southerners, make fun of. Yet we could talk all day about the kindness of my neighbors, the beauty of the barrier islands, the great Southern university I attended, etc.
I’ve been defending the great points about the South all of my life.
You do a great job of challenging what needs to be challenged. Nice work!
