Agree that the ripper tip sacrificed a couple to gain more cucumber fish sauce lime or lemon juice or white vinegar if no citrus sliced up chili to taste and always a cool refreshing side dish. You can't have too many cucumbers at our place. Just planted out Apple cucumbers you never see them in the shops anymore
what a happy video to see first thing over a mug of tea and a crumpet . Ripper tip on cucumber succession I do similar with tomato slices, but very informative couple of tips in there for your audience. I might give it a go with Zucchini 10 out of 10 at 6 am here in Perth More heat stinkers are on the way for the coming weeks so out to deepwater the area and throw some lupin straw about as mulch
I live on the subtropical mid north coast nsw, we've got cucumbers, beans, and tomatoes coming out of our ears. I made a huge mango, cucumber (from the garden), and red onion salad with a little dill (from the herb garden) as one of the salads for Christmas. Chilled, it was delicious.
Philippians 4:13 Love the t-shirt "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Great harvest baskets and crazy bird in the background. God bless, Happy New Year
G'day Marty, wow that's a great harvest. I also have ba good crop of beans from a few self seeded plants and ba couple of shop bought dried beans. No luck with corn, really stunted and minimal pollination. 💚🌲🌊🤙
@martysgarden on a positive note, the gardens are well watered, the tanks are overflowing, the ponds are nearly all full, all the baby chick's are growing up nicely and it's a brand new year in a few hours. Happy New Year to you Marty and your family, and everyone else around Australia and the rest of the world. 💚🎊🎉
Great tip on the cucumber seeds Marty. It would be something to prompt succession planting too. I’m really hoping my snake bean seeds do better this year. I’ve yet managed to get them pumping here. Other beans do well but mine are just babies at the moment. my choko is on last warning this year. No fruit again I’m moving it to try another spot.
Have you ever eaten the chokos when little? We eat them at 2 to 3 cm.Boil and cut in half with butter, no peeling and inner seed very nutty flavour.Delicious that way. Our beans were short lived this year, even snake beans. At least I managed to put in some more.
Good morning mate. Happy new year to you and your family. Best wishes for 2025. Q: thinking of starting a little worm farm at my place which is located at Warwick qld. Have a little vegie garden so need to casting for all around. Do you sell any red wriggles?
Hey Marty your thoughts on a beehive (even stingless native bees ) for your place our hive with only one super gave 47KG right up until the mini tornado destroyed it while I was in the hospital and some bugger stole my BEE suite. Now back to square one as the queen and survivors swarmed to a safer locality In the hope of attracting native bees spent the evening with a power drill and local wood making up native bee hotels. Fingers crossed
Thanks, I got lots of comments on my shirt,,,4 unsubs though which I would say from people that dont like the Lord. But that's okay..I am full on for Jesus

Wow! what a harvest. I thought my basil was looking good (I usually can't grow it because of bugs) but it's not a patch on yours.
See you soon Xx
Lots of love
Marty how do you control slugs and snails in your garden?
Beer traps

You have grown a lot in the short time that you've been at that location. Keep up the good work. What type of beans are those?
So nice of you to say, thanks. They are Snake beans, 2 varieties
