Fifty years ago, we used the two prong pitchfork, and we could go up to 11 bales high on the trailer. This New Holland, Bale pick up, is brilliant. Thanks for the Video 👍
My two boys were my help until they got married and on their own. I looked around for options that worked for my situation bale wagon seemed the ticket for me single bale unload with my two elevators has worked well I don’t mind stacking in shed as i don’t mind handling alittle the killer was picking up by my self. Yes this machine still fascinates me. So many timed parts that make this thing work. Good to hear from you and thx for watching.
Stack stay together: after you load a couple tears on third table you have to get off while loading 2nd table and move bales to make a tie in before it goes up to third.. If you get a manual it will tell you the whats and hows on this.. I dont use the tilt and stack..I use the single bale off load for my operation.. (single bale offload on certain units only) Pros: Makes single guy operation possible, Takes wear and tear off walking and loading trailer Single bale for me is great... it has its ups and downs but for most part works very well Cons: tongue heavy on tractor drawbar...recommend using/making a drawbar support from third link Bales must be good bales, packed and tight... Does not pickup good if bales are on a down side of a hill.. As I stated in vid. u-joints take alot of abuse when turning recommend pto off when making sharper turns .. These machines are great machines and work very well when used properly and esp when bales are the right weight and packed tight..
If you follow those feet back they are hooked to two large springs on either side. Make sure those are in good condition and they slide smoothly if binding you may have to forcibly push them back into place. Did you get a manual for it
That second table controller also controlled those feet but BUT USUALLY THATS ONLY WHEN THE LOAD RACK IS UP AND THE SECOND TABLE IS LOCKED IN PLACE. You do not want to have those feet out when lowering the load table from stand up. I’ve seen guys take a 4x4 and shove the feet back into place after a shove off I had to to when first getting. Do you have a manual?
If you retract feet what direction would you pull or push 2nd control leaver also is there a way to manually over ride it at valve I think my valve is trying to do 2 things at one time I assume for the fact it has set along time
Would be hard to as rack gets moved back from bales beinging loaded so… i Would think that once you started tipping the dump rack they would move down to be dumped. So maybe?!?!?
My family has one very similar. Unfortunately the original owner didn’t get the option so it can be tipped back and easily unloaded. We got to do it all by hand.
Can’t say I have as my clients want 36-40” bales. Right off you’d need to back those large forks with plywood as that small of bale would slip off and around the sides. The center one would be ok it’s the outside ones that would have issues. Also pickup could be issue as that short of bale once flopped over wouldn’t come on contact with the first table drive. I have a video that shows my addition of a sprocket on pickup area that turns and moves the 36” bale along just to help even that size. Other then those two thinks a little tinkering think it could

Thanks for wstching
I remember when the New Holland dealer just up the street where I grew up got some of these in stock. I was fascinated then as much as I am now

I found that sharpening the vertical spike chain on the pickup head stops all the bouncing and missed snatches. Both side of the triangle.
Like the point part pointier not roundish like you get from factory?
Oh both sides of triangle
Seriously thinking of buying one of these for my operation. What’s your pros and cons? How does the stack stay together?

Have you had to buy any parts for that model ?
Or any break downs @@sneezeacres5240
if you know how to use them they are great
we run 3
Always thought these machines were a work of genius - and all mechanical too - no electronics to be found anywhere.
It’s ok to turn a little to get a nearby bale.
I was hoping you would show it unloading.

Hello, can you let me use a part of the video?

Ok so I finally got a 1012 but when I got it the push off feet extend when I raise my second table can u tell me how to retract push off feet

Usually those feet are bent or have been bent and causes a bind
I’m thinking that if you push those feet all the way back to their home place they should lock out and let second table work
If you retract feet what direction would you pull or push 2nd control leaver also is there a way to manually over ride it at valve I think my valve is trying to do 2 things at one time I assume for the fact it has set along time
Can you dump partial loads
Would be hard to as rack gets moved back from bales beinging loaded so… i Would think that once you started tipping the dump rack they would move down to be dumped. So maybe?!?!?
Thank you for your comment and watching
Yes...1-2 tiers wont move machine forward, but 3-10 will....depending on the stack

Wow really!!! What’s the number on it? Thanks for watching and comments

Looks good
They don't work on hillsides
No they don’t. BUT I adapted another set of “tongs” on the floating pickup to aid in that problem. I’d say it works 75 % now on hills or down slopes.
They will work on hills if you have the hillside kit and were careful.
they can, load going up hill or load with the hill top to the left so the pickup is throwing down hill

have you ever tried loading 3 little short bales?

A little fertilizer on that field could pay for itself. More bales is alway better
