    I've seen videos of this place on TH-cam as I'm an avid blacksmithing enthusiast. Never knew what it was called though. So amazing that they will make you a sword from scratch too.

    Bizen swords have been considered some of the finest swords in Japan for a very long time. Interesting that John in a manhole fan. There is a whole genre of fandom in Japan of people that like to go around and take/collect pictures of the wide variety of local manhole covers.

    This was a fascinating video.
    John, go back and find the owner of that cube in the parking lot and shame them for not having the shag dash topper installed. 🤠

    If you are from the UK and plan on buying one of these and plan on bringing it back with or importing then please check the legal restrictions. In basic terms a curved blade depending on size is likely illegal unless hand made before 1954. If in doubt check the law online. Better that than find you have wasted your money.

    I was wondering why you would come to my little town. I can't believe I forgot about the Katana Museum! Though that's pretty much all we have other than Japan's largest dagashiya.

      The station will look great when the renovations are done, Osafune St. I’m rooting for this museum though! It’s fascinating that they specialize in swordS!

    Can you buy a manhole cover as souvenir?

    • @nxrm
      @nxrm 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would be brilliant. They could also offer manhole cover keychains, manhole cover coasters, manhole cover fridge magnets. Only in Japan needs it's own manhole cover!

    I thought swords were forbidden to leave Japan without a special permit. Have things changed?
