Yep, me too. I only gave it a watch cause of Brianne Howey, saw her in a few previous failed shows (and Exorcist/Gotham), she's incredible in this though.

I love! This show but the SECOND SEASON! OMG did the push the emotional range of their acting and characters! They should be INCREDiBLY proud of their performances. I’m hooked. Also I absolutely LOVE Max! She’s an amazing character ! Sara Waisglass brought her to life! And those eye!❤❤❤
Georgia (and all women like her) deserve so much credit! She’s a survivor and a fighter to provide a better life for Ginny. I feel like I’ve met single mothers like her and they deserve so much credit for fighting tooth and nail to create a better life for their children. Even if it’s thru an unconventional path. Single parents have so much resilience to raise their kids. So refreshing to see this kind of character. And SO well portrayed by Brianne

Honestly…watching season two of the show has been toxic and vulnerable at the same time, if that makes sense. The first episode with her having an panic attack, was emotional and kinda triggering honestly - but it was so good and raw and vulnerable! I love seeing Ginny finally getting the help she needs and just being open as much as she can. I love the show, I love the vulnerability, I love that Ginny’s dad is getting more involved now. I’m only on episode 7 so I’m still tuning in, but so far it’s been *chef’s kiss* amazing.
5:16 “It’s one of those shows you don’t know what you’re getting into and all of a sudden you can’t walk away from it” so true haha.. I kept seeing it on my Netflix scrolls and finally read the show plot and decided to give it a go thinking it might be boring but I binged the whole thing in two days LOL. Great show

Loved season 2 more, because it goes more in depth with the characters verses season 1 was more of an introduction. Hopefully, there’s a season 3. I feel like they can pick up where Georgia was locked up & unfold the storyline around the kids & Paul. 💜
The creators said there is a season 3. They also have "season 4" written, but that's not confirmed yet.
Not necessarily locked up. She's been arrested, they have to have a trial and get a conviction. Plenty of room there for some story arc and Georgia is 'bulletproof'... so far...

Great show, beautiful talented acting and I've loved all the seasons! I wouldn't compare it to Euphoria in the least, though...not sure what parallel was being drawn there but the show is nothing but realistic, entertaining, touching & amazing!
She compared it to Euphoria because of the drinking alcohol, smoking weed, and sex…If you’ve seen Euphoria…..sex, drugs, sexuality and alcohol are seen so much…..In Ginny and Georgia, you see a lot of that mainly with Ginny and her friends. Plus both shows take place in a high school setting even though the casts are grown adults.
@@tiamarrow6366 Of course I've seen it, that's why I'm able to make such a comparable analysis. The level of both parallel activities is EONS apart from each other if you have ever watched Euphoria yourself.

I relate so much to this series having to tread murky waters to raise your kids and survive. Also with a multiracial child. Getting into better situations but still responding to conflicts the way i would in a past life id prefer to forget about. Only thing is im black so theres an extra layer to my story. But anyway love this show

I love Georgia! Ginny is so entitled and such a stuck up teenager! She’s so impulsive and doesn’t realize the sacrifices her mom did for her! But the actress Antonia is doing the best she can for her character Ginny, that is a hot mess! Hopefully there will be more character development for Ginny this season! Who else is gonna binge watch it?! 🙋♀️

the show touches on so many topics but i want to also acknowledge that murder is not an obstacle most single mothers feel required to commit. lol truth is georgia is crazy. she has so much privilege, and it’s not enough for her to stop killing people bc “life gets hard for her as a mother” .. that in itself is privilege. to assume that the only option you have in life is to commit a felony like murder .. bc you need assistance is inane. her black daughter could have easily went to prison for it. i think that’s what she doesn’t understand. it’s the inevitable paradox of being biracial. one parent will never know the lenses of being black.
