Oh, wow, I never thought I'd see this again. This was actually my junior year. Robby Hadden was really good. I'd pinned him on a trick earlier in the tournament. This was in the era where you couldn't score with two gut wrenches in a row. I scored with one gut, and started to load a second; he relaxed, thinking that I was wasting my effort, and halfway through I went into a high bridge and held him for the fall. He still made it to the finals because of cross-bracketing, though, and it was a way tougher match. Nice seeing Ed Onorato in my corner, too; he passed away several years ago. Ed was a close friend and teammate of my father's.

This might be 1989. In 1990 the finals were on a raised platform and he wrestled Les Gutches of Oregon. I won it that year
