just got myself a 700mm hull-catamaran and going to put a 8s lipobattery and brushless setup,you got a nice boat...
Those long strips that run along the boats bottom hull are called "Strakes" They are designed to create Lift for fast plaining.
The sharp fins on each side of the rear "Transom" are called "Turning Fins" enhancing sharp turns.
The tabs on the bottom section of the transom are called "Trim Tabs" they are adjustable on this boat & will raise & lower the boats front "Bow" when running & stabilize the boats hull. Portside is left & Starboard is right side. Front is "Forward" Rear is "Aft" Hope this helps. Nice boat Thanks for Sharing👍👍💛

You're suppose to tape the hatch cover...specific tape is made just to seal an RC boat hatch.
Thanks for the great unboxing and run. I received today my 3rd boat the Helion Rivos Brushed and by watching your video I realised it's a clone of the SR70 in every detail apart from the brushed system

Very cool Pete👍🏻 You could spray your micro vtx with Corrosion X and fpv your boat. I use it on my rc truck esc for running in the snow and it works awesome 👏🏻 Although I'm not sure about the lense

Thanks Ron :) I've had the keychain cam for over 2 years and finally it died out...all 3 of them so this one is revived with a new battery and is expendable since it is low cost and very effective and perfect for use in this situation :)
It certainly did the job and gave a great camera angle to your viewers. I've never had a keychain cam but I might consider one now.

I wrote in your comment section before I like I said I got this for Christmas 18’ ran it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately due to rookie error I flipped it and broke lid latch so to fix that I thought about using thumb screws and stand- offs to hold it down . Do think he cover is strong enough to drill through to finish the thumb screw install thanks

@@nsvaluto48328 I don't think it has a lipo cut off. You can use an alarm and set it so you have enough time to bring it in :)
But when the battery gets low will it be slower to come in

Well, it does have a 40A esc on board so it should be able to handle it :)

It says it can. I have same boat but never ran it on 4s but I'm in the process of upgrading my boat with a better motor and a 70 esc
been looking into getting a RC Boat but I live on a big lake here in Vermont in the states not sure how it would handle the bigger waves and this is not a self righting boat am I correct on that?

yeah, I would n't go aganist waves with this one. on the other hand, if you put some foam right underneath the top cover, it will upright by itself.

I got one and have to say it is a sweet boat and it can take some good waves with little to no problems

I got this boat for Christmas I put in my radio and receiver I hooked up the battery to test if radio is talking to receiver and I got steering but no throttle battery was in store mode from factory is that why?
Perhaps...charge up the battery and see if that is the problem. What radio are you using? Does it have throttle trim?
Radio is a spektrum dx2e yes there is a throttle trim and limit switch
