Rajini is deserving for Superstar title, because he has been continuously in the industry since the 1970s. And he is still on top today. If a woman gets the Lady Superstar title, she has to be on the same level like Rajini.

There are quite a number of female doctors from Brahmin community serving the society, but film people like Nayanthara would always prefer to insult the Brahmin community by dragging their food habits and other beliefs. All these film people want is to cash in on their soft target and depict social revolution in a too simplistic and superficial manner. Like charity begins at home, social reform too begins at home. Let these film people, especially the so-called lady super star produce a film on how women are treated in films and filmdom and present a true picture of things like casting couch. they can take a film on silk smitha but will they take a movie that speaks of a heroine and the travails and traumas she has undergone in reaching the heights of fame- the way she has been used and manipulated by both her kith and kin and the film fraternity? They won't dare. All they can do is to go on depicting the Brahmin community as suits their whims and fancies. shame on them.

Nayanthara is now trying to act like a victim for getting scold for being called lady superstar. People are not accepting the lady superstar tag not because you didnt get the position or because you are a woman. This is because it discredits so many more legendary actresses who achieved way more and are way talented than Nayanthara. The titles were originally given to Sridevi in Indian Cinema and Vijayshanti in southern cinema. However DD and nayan planned this title on a talk show before she had her woman centric release through the flop nee Enge en anbe. Which was later supported by her friend Udhayanidhi in the same talk show. Whatever that Nayan is trying hard to claim were already achieved by many others in the past. When no one is ready to see anyone else other than Rajinikanth as a superstar, it makes no sense to have this mid product steal the title from likes of talents like Sridevi. Nayanthara women centric films, only a few worked and they worked because of the team and script, not her. Aditi Balan pulled off a Aruvi in her first film itself but she never promoted herself. Nayanthara has the team and strategies but does not have the talent or completeness of a performer or a star. Superstar is not just a title but an emotion and status. Rajinikanth, Sridevi, and Vijayshanthi earned it through their fans. Nayanthara placed it herself through her friends. It is not unanimous just people you have friends and media people bootlicking her since she is a big name in the business.
Next to Kushboo Simran, she is the only heroine to achieve huge fan base. Why you compare with Vijayashanthi. Yes Vijayashanthi is also super star. No doubt in that. Nayantara is also a superstar. Which heroine in the past 20 years carry heroine centric roles with profits to producers. Don't just blabber
@vishnuraaj24 Please Khushbu and Simran were more powerful and had a bigger fanbase at their time without much female centric movies. Soundarya and Meena had extreme craze all over South India and they never claimed any titles. And the difference is these women are extremely talented women while Nayanthara is just a business minded women with mid skills. I am not denying Nayanthara's fans but her films barely run because of her. She has some female centric hits and has just as many and more flop female centric movies. Give those movies to another big name in the industry like Anushka or Samantha or Manju the movies will be just as good, just like how Aruvi worked with a debutant and Taramani worked with an underrated Andrea. If the movie has a good team and good script, any movie will work. Some like Urvashi barely had screen time in many of her movies but she end up stealing the show with a male thespian leading the movie. The craze and power Asin had with her 3 years in the industry cannot be replicated for a very long time. The craze Anushka created with her screen presence in her female centric movies and dubbed movies all over South will always be a dream for madam Nayanthara. Anushka's recent come back had better revenues than Nayanthara's recent female centric movies. Her production house called her fans and online influencers to her premier to promote Comnect but still became a washout. Nayanthara was easily overshadowed by Deepika's cameo in Jawan despite having so many slo mo introductions. Keerthi have so many flop female centric movies but her Mahanati has great collections because the script and promotion was great. Samantha has her share of hit female centric movies and Shraddha Srinath. The fact is so many top actresses have their fanbase and nayanthara has one too but no yet deserves the lady superstar title because either they do not act any more or they do not dub. Anjali, Parvathy dubs but they do not have similar craze. Currently only Sai Pallavi has potential and can be a deserving candidate if she choose to act for long. Nayanthara is thriving because she has a network but she is not a worthy candidate to be known as the best with such artificial acting, poor and inconsistent dubbing and worst dance. If she has female centric hits that's because the script and production house were great, not because of her. This women centric nonsense will only work for nayanthara fans but not many cares for such films unless it's a Anushka movie. Nayanthara's contribution to the success of Raja Rani which is a multi starrer is much greater than her one time watch female centric hits.
