One tip that helped me was to just slowdown. It has made me a much better player. I still have trouble scoring consistently. I can hit my shots but I’m only taking 4-5 shots per game my fear is my team Will stop passing to me if I miss
Anticipation and being pro active instead of reactive are 2 things that would help most people become better almost over night. If ur a catch and shoot player, u have to read the defense just as well as the pg. u have to recognize before u even get the ball whether ur gonna be open or not. People wait and react and by that time it’s too late. Also, u have to get over the fact that an ‘open’ shot doesn’t mean there’s nobody within 20 ft of u. Open is if u catch the ball and they’re not in arm reach…ur open
I don’t do the same thing as everybody else. I play out of triple threat and post up mostly but then my team calls timeout on me the moment I do like 2 jab steps without moving the ball. Quality community 😂

I have a 3nD wing with a 98 three and i have played with Maurader a few times. I lets em fly. Beyond the hash I literally dont care. And once you shoot aggressively dudes will leave you open even more out of fear lol. You catch the ball and shoot dudes expect you to pass or dribble just because they are standing there.. these are facts. You are definitely open more than you think..
I play 2k and i get your point, but you have a high 3 ball build with every shooting badge on at least gold. If my lock build shoots that, its a bad shot.
I thought the same thing i play on a 6’8 popper with 85 middy and 78 3 i shoot 67 percent you can green anything i be making 80 contested smothered 3s its just a mental game
Question I don’t play with my player much I usually play with real players does the contest affect the speed in the shot like some obviously have slower shots does the shot timing play an affect also?

If you’ve been shooting good on release then don’t change it just because of a bad day. EVERYONE has bad shooting days (even me). If it has been working for you, no need to change. If it never really worked, than go back to what was working

Whats annoying is people dont realize they have an open shot. There is a small % of 2k players that know when they are open but to the majority of the community an open shot is when nobody is around you. But to the small% that can identify that open shot and make the shot they get accused of zenning. So because I made an open shot with people around me Im zenning.. Just because you dont know when to take a shot you're playing the game correctly..? Community is trash and cant give people props
