Every time I see this video it makes me cry , its awesome that a family gets together to build a new home for their new members of their family. Theres no hidden agenda ,dirty looks or what's in it for them . They seem so genuine in helping construct a new home and giving them blessing while doing it . Truly blessed people everyone plays a part , everyone contributes. You can see they honor their elders and allow them to participate as they build this new home . Awesome.
people here in the U.S. ripping each other heads off and I'm just here learning about Mongolian yurts Mongolia is 100 % different than were in from I love it!
@@_Wai_Wai_ yurt is a Turkic name for ger, the yurt came to be known in the west through Russia as I understand. This dwelling has been used by both turks and mongols since ancient times. The only turk yurt I know is Kazakh yurt which can be found only in Mongolia, it’s much larger and spacious inside. I’m not sure if ger is called yurt in Kazakh language.
Wow, really interesting how the whole community and families come together to build the house. It takes a whole village to build one house! Love the music, can you please include the musician/band for reference?
And to think many who live in the steppes dismantle and move that ger to a different location for the livestock to graze each season! Pure genius the design and beauty of it.
Hey, is it possible to use some of your video (only 5-10 seconds) from building a yurt in a non-commercial film that will be shown in children's associations and kindergartens in Norway.

Wow only love, helping each other.. Built a house to live and filled with blessing. . Here we give engineer to build our house.. They build from Rs.30 they eat Rs 70 out of Rs100.. Still they say it is less. Only robbing, robbers.. what a blessed place this is not corrupt place as i live in.
the small yurt looks so practical and effective to move around. I wish they can reproduce the yurt of Ghengis khans yurt with wheels modern version and innovated it with sheep wools or modern style it might be effective or not.

Yurt is Turkish name. Yurt = Home, City , Live Area
The grandpa with the fedora reminds me of my great grandfather. He liked wearing a fedora with his traditional Korean clothing.

Wow, how fascinating. But, I am curious, how comes that the yurt is stable enough without being embedded into ground?
Its round and the roof is aerodynamic. It naturally hugs the ground in high winds.
Usually it’s fine by itself, but sometimes people weigh it down by heavy objects
