I really think you generate amazing content. TBH I think you should make this a series: Why Pros Pick_________. I believe this will help the general community understand picks better at the competitive level and help deepen viewers understanding of the game. keep up the amazing work!
Thanks so much! We made this video with Shakarez (he'll be working with us regularly from now on), and want to maintain some flexibility. But if he's interested in making this a series, it's a possibility. :)
Hey! Can you please tell me which editing program(s) have you used for this video? It's so clean and the editing makes the information easy to absorb, thanks :)
this video was amazing. PLZ make more educational content like this that references pro games. this really helped my gold ass understand what is going on tyty
The thing with Galio is that you should know when _and_ where you should use his ult. Wrong place, right time? No. You could be ulting to a dying friend from a 1v1 while there's a team clash up top that needs you more. Right place, but wrong time? Still won't do. You ulted too early or too late into a team fight and you landed straight into a 4v2 because three of your allies have died before you got there or you went in too early and you died along with the one you used as a landing point. It's a heavy, multitarget CC that can potentially knock up five, _and_ it gives allies a temporary defense buff. It's incredibly strong on paper, but using it to its maximum efficiency in-game isn't so easy, specially when you just picked him up.
Why am I not surprised, Blitz put out a great video... It's cliche at this point, gosh, scale back some. Sarcasm aside this was an insightful video, I loved this breakdown. I love these analysis type videos.
Bjerg addressed this in a yahoo esports interview. He said something along the lines of " china and korean play these comps and destroy with it. We ( TSM) need to learn why these comps work because of how MSI went for us. We cant play comps that only work in NA and expect to compete on the national stage."
Three AOE Abilities, naturally tanky, decent damage scalings, three hard CC Sources, flexible pick, incredible counter engage, peels more than a Banana. Idk why.
The video definitely presents points that make sense. However, it doesn't deal with the main criticism that most people have of the pick: Why would you but Bjergsen, who is one of, if not the main carry of the team, on something that enables his teammates instead of allowing himself to carry?
They explained why Galio was good mid lane. Obviously, Bjergsen should be able to play any champ that is not just viable but really good mid lane. I think that more than one person in a good team should be able to be the carry, and I am glad that TSM is working on that.
I agree, OP. A Galio can be a really good pick, but not if you pick it for your best player. Galio becomes worthless if you don't have the teammates that can set up play and do damage. The best Galio ult and CC combo won't win a teamfight if your ADC doesn't deal damage. So, let Bjerg play a carry champ so TSM as a whole can actually deal enough damage to win a teamfight.
Bjerg addressed that in a yahoo esports interview. He said something along the lines of " china and korean play these comps and destroy with it. We ( TSM) need to learn why these comps work because of how MSI went for them. They cant play comps that only work in NA and expect to compete on the national stage."
ROSPoetry1 Part of that however, is that Chinese and Korean teams have multiple people on their roster that can carry games if supported well enough. TSM doesn't have that luxury, mainly because Bjerg is by far the best player on that team, and it's too much of a gimp to TSM's power if they put him on Galio, aka initiation and bodyguard duty.
You guys talk like there is no one at all on TSM that can carry a game. Sure, Bjerg might be their best player, but Faker is arguably the best player on SKT as well and has played enough of support-mid lane champs in his career. Hauntzer, while he hasn't played that well this split, has carried enough games last split together with Bjerg and many even thought he deserved MVP that split. In summer 2016, Bjerg even said in an interview that he felt like he just got carried by his team that split and didn't play all that well, and again, people weren't sure if Bjerg or Doublelift deserved MVP. Really not sure how you guys can make it sound like Bjerg is the only player capable of dealing damage on that team.
Riot made their Frankenstein. And now they cant do shit to nerf him unless they make his stats and stuff so weak. He has 3 CC and 2 damage reduction skills and his Q hurts kinda bad.
Not a fan of Galio maybe that's just me. Did they mention counter picks? Seems like a new and improved Shen. Even through not a fan of Shen since having so many games thrown because of gamers acting like they can play these pro champions.
Great analysis. All you did was re-read the champion spotlight basically. I wouldve been impressed if you explained the in depth meta reasons for the choice and why he was good now but not earlier despite being broken on release
the visual at 3:30 was absolutely horribly done, well intended, but poor execution. in general, the video contains very little information, skipping most of what the galio pick is really about and why it can fail. 3/10.
No one said galio was a bad champion or pick but on TSM it was just simply not working. Same concept with bjerg playing lulu or karma mid. If you want to highlight not to criticize parth then explain how specifically TSM picking galio was a right decision. Not galio "champion spotlight" vol.2 and with those games from TSM as evidence Reddit has the right to criticize parth or bjerg on playing galio
If you watch those games though, TSM pretty much lost because of bad decisions and not because they had a Galio mid lane. And they explained in the video that it was a good comp, how it should have worked, and why it didn't work, which was because TSM simply screwed up. So they pretty much showed why it was a good pick and not Parths fault.
fiprosha having a good comp or not is not why people criticize TSM. Bjerg is a pressure heavy resource heavy carry heavy mid laner. Parth put bjerg on galio not just lost mid priority early game also shut down some of his snowball potential. TSM is strong of their mid jungler plays but letting bjerg lose lane priority also shuts down svens invades or aggressive plays. TSM's core is Mid lane jungler control thus leads their success. Parth picked galio for bjerg completely goes against their style of play which leads their disadvantage which is part of the coach's fault. A coach's job not just picking a good comp. it's more like picking a comp that best for the player on the team with their style.
so you are saying tsm should have one style they can play and that is bjergsen on a carry every game? if you want to be a top team, you need to be able to play different comps, simple as that. they didn't execute it right and lost, simple as that. but it's funny that you reply now, after rift rivals, when tsm have clearly shown now that they can execute a team comp with a galio in the midlane and when parth has been praised by most for his drafts at the tournament.
fiprosha what's wrong with praising when they are playing bad btw (were). Fans are point out their mistakes on Reddit back then has nothing to do with rift and has nothing to do with how good they are playing now. The reason for that mostly because they were trying "new" comps in LCS which a lot of fans disagree with that. Practice should be done in scrims. And on stage is all about their performance.
8/10 vid. Sorry guys, I cannot agree with the statement that Olaf was good enough for Galio to fallow. I believe that he is a not dynamic enough pick to engage onto that specific IMT comp. Never the less, great explanation of the premise.
Appreciate it! :) Your argument is definitely valid - our goal was to illustrate Galio's potential and explain why his playmaking ability is attractive to teams despite his terrible win rate. Obviously, things don't always work out in execution.
Very quality video. 3:30 was particularly impressive from the amount of visual communication that was easy to understand. Need more of these!
We're working with Shakarez to make these on the regular! So you can expect many more :D
This easily got me to subscribe.
It's rare to find clear and concise informative videos. You guys are doing great.
People should try to understand that there is a logic behind when a team picks a certain champion. They just don't pick champs randomly.
micky3432. there trying to learn all comps instead of just winning every game
Alex Dewald precisely
galio is picked for good reason. Jayce top last year failed many, many times and was consistently drafted. It was bad. Its okay to criticize drafts
The only logic here is that galio is busted. No need to be einstein to figure that out
Stasss definitely not terrible and you have to practice it somewhere
this is the best league esports channel that exists.
So glad you think so! :)
damrite
damn that xmithie lee sin roast tho... feelsbadman
I'm surprised they didn't nerf him this patch he can play 4 roles and is pretty effective in all 4 of them
e[u]logy I main adc galio so make that 5
they did indirectly the doran rings nerf
He is getting nerfed a bit on 7.12 i think.
VexTure That was to the passive component. You can still stack the raw stats.
the passive was main part imo it gives 45 mana for 3 minions
might as well buy a mana item like the singed 4 dark seals corruption pot build
this is such a good channel
This is such a high quality and professional video, I am baffled you don't have more of a following
We just got started a few months ago and appreciate all the support! :)
The whole team over there including Shakarez did an outstanding job on this!!
Simple and yet in depth analysis, respect the quality of the content
This is some of the greatest content about the eSports scene period. Keep up the great work!
Incredibly well made video. Looking forward to seeing more work like this.
You can count on it :)
I really like the music and production on this! Looking forward to the new era of esports media
Really liked this video, good explanations even for veteran league players. The visuals were super nice as well! Keep these vids up!
Thanks, we will!
Nice video, loved the editing and vocabulary choice. Keep up the good work
Thanks, lots more to come!
This video was bloody amazing, nice job dude
wow! this video is almost 5 months old... and faker played galio 5 times at worlds semis..
Great video--this why I love Blitz! Nominated you guys for esports awards! :)
Hey! Can you please tell me which editing program(s) have you used for this video? It's so clean and the editing makes the information easy to absorb, thanks :)
this video was amazing. PLZ make more educational content like this that references pro games. this really helped my gold ass understand what is going on tyty
You can count on it! :D
3:40 Holy shit.
Top notch work, wow.
:D
"Oh you're up, this is good. We're gonna rob a bank."
"Unless the enemy lee sin wants to help you out" Haha, nice one Blitz. Keep up the good work!
lol thanks, lots more to come!
4 months later, Faker, as the game MVP, picked Galio 5 games in a row vs RNG in world lolol
well they did figure it out especially kt in the lck their last 2 games with galio were just beatifull
Nice video, really well made and full of good infos. Do someone know what is the name of the music in the background by any chance ?
He's not exciting, he's op. Only thing he's missing in his kit is ranged AAs
Very well constructed videos, a pretty decent LoL channel that I'll be recommending to my buds
Thank you so much! We're working on many more videos like this, so stay tuned!
Good video, I'm also curious about the win% rate of galio, you should had this at the begining with the pick/ban data
Good idea for next time! FYI for now: at the time of publication, Galio's win rate in the NA LCS was 35%
Great content! Also does the RP giveaway on your app apply to Canada as well?
Yes! No country left behind
okay why would you not add the comp with J4 and rakahn wombo? that was probably one of the most successful comps I have seen with new Galio..
the animation of this chanel man, let me tell you something, I like it
Why are there no TSM interviews?
oh forgot to mention Camille, the greatest Galio synergy.
Great production!
Thanks! :)
Keep it up guys! Really quality content here :)
Thanks, lots more to come!
Great video, would love to see me videos like this that deeply analyze pro play
You can count on it :)

Thank you!
4K Kreygasm Blitz I love you.
hire travis
DO IT, JUST DO IT
DON'T LET YOUR MEMES BE DREAMS
tbh i think you overemphasize about engage, galio is actually really good with a 0 engage comp too if you can set up pressure properly.
You guys should've given GoldenGlue some credit for being one of the first to make Galio mid work. Also, hire Travis if he's interested.
Its not the galio pick that doesnt work, its tsm shitty shotcalling that brings them down.
Why am I not surprised, Blitz put out a great video... It's cliche at this point, gosh, scale back some. Sarcasm aside this was an insightful video, I loved this breakdown. I love these analysis type videos.
Haha, glad to hear it! We plan to keep this up for sure :)
And then there’s faker with the 100% pick rate and rng didn’t even consider banning it
Bjerg addressed this in a yahoo esports interview. He said something along the lines of " china and korean play these comps and destroy with it. We ( TSM) need to learn why these comps work because of how MSI went for us. We cant play comps that only work in NA and expect to compete on the national stage."
lul that roast on xmithie killed me 😂😂
I'm watching this because Faker played it 5 times in a row against RNG.
combating hate comments with informative videos, nice one :D
That roast of lee sin is gold HAHAHAHA
wat is parth
And then TSM never picked Galio once in worlds while Faker played it 5 times in a row
Three AOE Abilities, naturally tanky, decent damage scalings, three hard CC Sources, flexible pick, incredible counter engage, peels more than a Banana. Idk why.
Look at this quality content tho!
Honestly I want to know why Kennen is picked so often despite the terrible record
This video feels very vindicated after the performance that TSM showed at Rift Rivals last weekend with Galio
Dude, Galio is hybrid beast between gragas an shen(two very meta an really gud tanks)
i have played it many times with a friend and galio + rakan is amazing
Cause he is strong when played correctly with the right comp around him. Seriously, people needed a video to tell them this?
The video definitely presents points that make sense. However, it doesn't deal with the main criticism that most people have of the pick: Why would you but Bjergsen, who is one of, if not the main carry of the team, on something that enables his teammates instead of allowing himself to carry?

The enemy lee sin down to help u out. damn 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
to sum up he is OP
Riot made their Frankenstein. And now they cant do shit to nerf him unless they make his stats and stuff so weak. He has 3 CC and 2 damage reduction skills and his Q hurts kinda bad.
the title and topic is identical to dong huaps....
None of us watch dong huap, so just a coincidence.

Not a fan of Galio maybe that's just me. Did they mention counter picks? Seems like a new and improved Shen. Even through not a fan of Shen since having so many games thrown because of gamers acting like they can play these pro champions.
they are 1-3 with the champ, their win against TL doesn't count
warwick + galio =?
u say it
this video will perma ban galio later on kappa

Why do they play him? Because he's too good-
Well I like to destroy ppl dreams in solo q with Galio.
TSM 3-2 as of 6/21/2017...

E A S I L Y
Typical bronze and fan boys
Blaming the champion not the player
Clearly this guy doesn't like TSM at al lol.
(Leave Parth alone) lmao
Finally... another type rework. :l

Galio is disgusting paired with old Galio.

TIME TO NERF GALIO
This champion is the complete opposite of exciting, brainless waveclear with extremely low cd makes boring gameplays.
Sponsored by TSM.

ok so galio is busted
From all the team who use Galio you speak about the most noob 1.Classic NA brain.
stop. picking. galio.
no no no no this is all wrong its cause faker played him
