Fantastic interview. Scott is without a doubt one of the best musicians I have ever seen live, he is a complete inspiration. Not only is he incredible, but he is so down to earth and has a great sense of humour. He also always takes time to come and speak with his audience after shows. I must have seen him live about 7 or 8 times. Funnily enough I remember the tour accompanying "Home Part 1" and was amazed to see him perform "86 floors from heaven" at the end without the guitar. You couldn't tell he was nervous or uncomfortable at all. Already looking forward to the next time I can get along to a gig.

It's so cool hearing Scott talking about how he started out playing guitar and writing songs, as he has had such an impact on my life so far, as I listened to his first album when I was only a few years old. My dad got given a CD version of Passing Stranger from a friend and it was always the first pick that got played when we travelled anywhere, and the songs always stuck in my head. And now I've recently started playing acoustic and the entire reason for that is Scott Matthews, learning his songs and listening to his music is what inspired me to play guitar in the first place, and I was lucky enough to meet him in York earlier this year. He's the nicest guy I've ever met, not to mention he's bloody huge as well! He talked to me and my family for a good few minutes about music and his family, and he took everything in and listened, just and absolute legend and without a doubt my favourite artist of all time. Just so incredibly humble and an amazing songwriter. 🙌

Incredibly talented singer / songwriter / guitar player and all around nice guy - Living in the Uk means I’ve seen Scott play many times - and looking forward to seeing him for 3rd time this year during his April support slots for Robert Plant. Thanks Craig for featuring Scott on my favourite podcast !!
