Came across your videos and podcast when I was researching about Clear Aligners. I just incorporated it into my practice after being certified. It was recommended to change the aligners every 7-10 days, but patient says its still tight and the next aligners hurt so much so she extends it to 14 days or more, until it becomes passive in all teeth. Is this alright? In trad braces we adjust every 4-6 weeks to allow bone resorption and deposition, is this applicable to CA? I hope you get to see this question and give clarification. Thank you very much!
Hi Doc! Indeed I have a few patients where I slow things down to 2 weeks- especially if they say things feel tight or compliance is an issue or a difficult movement eg. rotation. Every case is different - a spacing case on a young patient will probably be OK for 7 day changes, for example
@@protrusive Thanks for the reply, Doc Jaz, appreciate your time and inputs. I enjoy listening to your videos/Spotify Podcast because it covers a lot of topics. Keep on sharing!😃
Great video Jaz! In your opinion is Invisalign the superior company to use for aligners, with so many competitors now? Are there orthodontists involved in the setups or is it just technicians running algorithms at all these companies?
thanks Doc! I know plenty of Orthodontists who swear by Invisalign and from what I hear, they listen to the doctors to develop it. Is it the best? who knows is it the market leader as it stands? yes I think the ones to watch out for are Spark and Suresmile amongst others
Thanks Dr. Farooq and Dr. Jaz, excellent breakdown of this topic!
Glad you liked it!
Truly enjoyed and geeked out on this ortho series 👌🏾
