Women in first world countries were the ones to teach me how to do my natural hair. Black American women all over youtube during the natural hair movement were the first to show me healthy hair practices for my kinky hair that led to length retention.
I was ten with type 4 hair. I had a perm and I was getting my roots done. This lady literally de-tangled my type four hair DRY with a RATAIL COMB. On top of that, she started my appointment 3hrs late, and she used a perm that was way too strong. I had chemical burns all over my head and I was in tears the entire time. My mom was furious, but she couldn’t do anything b/c by the time she saw why I was crying, the hair stylist was about to put the perm in my head. We never went back to her salon, and I went natural again
5:48 Yeah DisPOISED Those😭😭😭 I'd Be Sleeping Just So I Wouldn't Feel The Pain... & Get It Done "Properly." God Thank You For Placing Me In A Time Of Change🙏🏿. I, Your Humble Servant Appreciates This Greatly God Bless🩸🐑💯
Yes once I had a hairstyle trim my hair.. before she started she said I’ve never done such long curly thick hair.. ( & that should have been my Q to get up and leave but it was my very 1st time! And also my last time ever going to a hairdresser!!) she didn’t trim my hair that was almost to my butt but she cut it so short and also thinned my hair out it was the WORST!!
The betrayal relaxer got me. I'd be infuriated if someone did that to me-----I still am even though no one did. 😩 P.S. To any person with 4b/4c hair who has a difficult time loving their hair: Crowns are meant to be blindingly shiny, heavy, and at times high maintenance. They are still crowns, nonetheless. It's not what you have but what you are willing to give. You don't have to break the bank or your confidence, but effort and consistency will benefit your hair more than any treatment. In comparison to non-natural hair, natural hair isn't as costly as we've been told, especially for resourceful people.
do ALOT of deep conditioning sessions with good products, consider experimenting with hair grease/pomade or shea butter. I know I was struggling with severe dryness when I started out and shea butter helped me tremendously as I was addressing the dryness.
I love the story time, but it's hard to pay attention to both the hair styling and the story. I'm going have to watch this twice 😁. I think it's crazy that a salon makes you wash and straighten your hair BEFORE they will book an appointment. Like what's left for THEM to do 🤣🤣🤣.
I'm hoping that I didn't hear correctly.... was she using the word "Hilarious"? Those stories sound like "Horror" stories to me. This coming from a former stylist & current natural Queen. We are not our hair but our hair is our crown.

Girl!
What do I do to soften my hair?
Add water when you're combing or detangling. Also incorporate a leave-in conditioner to your hair routine

I feel people are using more of gel products these days.

Hair styling not distracting me it's the music. It's too loud but I loved the video.
Yeah it frustrates me how black stylist discourage black hair and black beauty due to white washing.
Nice video hun take the music out ur voice is just fine for the video or turn it down.
Thanks for the tip!
There was NOTHING Hilarious about these stories... 😒
But a lot of the hair style shown were very cute!
The stories are distracting.
True
The first one was a violation
Bro that was a crime😭😭

NIce styles but the actual style in the thumbnail that made me click on the video wasn't shown. Disappointed 😒
Uma pena , não intender seu idioma ..
Distracting stories made me mute the video..nice compilation though
Girl these are horror stories! I hope you don't go to stylists anymore or that you found a good one now!
