Every time I see these while I'm scrolling through AliExpress I'm so tempted to grab one just too see what they actually are, I'm so glad you did it for me 😅 haha
Call me old-fashioned, but I still use a Sony DSC-HX99 compact super zoom. I hope it will last for several years, but I really wouldn't mind being able to buy something similar, once it breaks down. Looks like all the big brands have stopped making compact super zooms.
Mate that ain't a bad camera at all! We've got a BMPCC6KPro but I just cannot be arsed setting it up every time, hence this venture The DSC-HX99 does 2160p25, so might be a good way to go if I end up spending some cash!
Hard to make a suggestion, maybe you can get a lot of them and use then to add a border to the garden? I don't think you could make a wall with them. I am not sure they would be good to stop your car rolling backwards. Maybe you could prop your monitor up with a bunch of them? I am not sure they would make good cannon shot.
Hah yeah, if only they had wifi built in! Depending on what's inside, it could be easy to add wifi on. NFI, it' gone now. Interesting idea nonetheless 😊
@@wilkgr Yeah it was driving me mental too. I can focus once, but then I cannot adjust focus later unfortunately. Going to have to keep 'tinkering' with how to use it, or spend more money on another camera 😥
I don't even think it's a real 48MP sensor 😅 I'd say it's either taking 2 frames per output frame and interpolating them in some way, else just straight-up bullshitting
@@menib7574 hahah all good. Yeah it was cheap and crap. No cameras come with storage built-in that I'm aware of, but most support at least 256GB as mentioned above as that's been in the standards for a very long time. Better ones up to 2TB or so

Similarly, saving me a few bucks.
😂
@@originalmianos I mean I knew exactly what it would be, but I've been dying to pull one apart haha
Hah, welcome. My stupid brain is telling me to try another though 😑
@@originalmianos At my expense 😅
@@kingyachan I would have if I didn't have to send it back for a refund!

Probably better to get a Raspberry with a good sensor extension
or a webcam :)
Ain't wrong!
@@AndrewTSq Hah yep
Quality is a lot better. Rather than lag, seeing what seems like micro-stutter?
Actually, the micro-stutter I'm seeing is probably just camera re-focusing. :D
Yeah cheers, still trying to get it right!
@@DizY_8 yeah the Brio focusing non-fkn-stop is insane. I wish you could set slow/smooth focus!
@@PlatimaTinkers any chance you can focus at the start and then set it to manual focus? I find it rather distracting unfortunately 😅

Touch and precision of a brain surgeon.. huh mate?
Bloody oath 😂
This is at best a timelapse camera

God, if there ever were a pixel peeper, I'd assume I'd be on some sort of list. Fuck 48 megapickles, I'm going full hog.
@@jlyn8228 ahaha order one and smash 'er open?
Wait, how much memory does it have ?
Apparently supports up to 256GB TF / microSD card
@@PlatimaTinkers what
@@menib7574 What do you mean "how much memory does it have?" None, until you put an SD card in it =/
