Glad you enjoyed the video. We give a Fante bus tour every year around his birthday in April, but this was a special one with many honored guests which followed the naming of John Fante Square.
We did attend the UCLA event where Stephen Cooper spoke, and it was wonderful.
Ask the Dust is one of the greatest novels ever written and one of the most seriously underrated alongside Bukowski's Ham on Rye and Factotum.
the road to los angeles is the greatest book on this planet!
We'd love to hear any stories about John Fante that you'd care to share. He's a wonderful writer, and there are not that many people left who worked with him.
