      ECML south (King’s Cross to Stevenage) and WCML south (Euston to Birmingham), also narrow gauge is a bit of fun, there’s a great route of the entire Ffestiniog and Welsh highland line which I love.
      Edit: this game was my life before tsw came out

    Few tips:
    The speeding tolerance is .9, for example a 90mph limit is 90.9 max.
    You can’t really know what signals are in advance, sadly. The map shows signal aspects, but that’s a bit of a hassle.
    In the 8 camera, use the arrow keys, you can move!
    Shrewsbury - Hereford is a route, look for the Welsh Marches, only that one starts at Newport
    You can zoom out in the externals via the arrow keys
    The emergency brake was because you put the Power/Brake controller all the way to -100%, that usually results in an emergency brake

    Nice to see you’ve picked up Train Sim Classic - I’d suggest turning off the blurring effect when you’re doing videos, it would be nice to see the instruments as well as the view. It’s Depth of Field in the settings, or CTRL Shift F4. Also try F3 and F4 to switch between full and partial hud once you start finding the keyboard commands and don’t need all the controls on the screen all the time. Enjoy it!

    it's possible to set up PlayStation controllers with a Windows PC, but an Xbox controller is easier because of the native support and wider compatibility with games. I use Xbox controller on TSW PC and it works great. After binding the initial connection, no extra setup necessary.

    There are things called "merges", for example if you own every ecml section, you can download a merged version and drive, for example, a 90 from London euston to york and it'll take 4 hours

    As a PC player, I cannot see how people play TSW with a controller. I tried it on PS5 and it just does not feel right at all. Keyboard and mouse is the way. As a side note: I played TSC a LOT when I got my laptop about 2 years ago, until TSW 4 hooked me. You might have inspired me to jump back in!

    no timetable on ts classic. It is a deal breaker for me as it really limits replayability, and if your fav. service is in the snow and you want nice weather well tough... 😢

    Hey Richy,
    The signal system is easy to understand and you don't need to guess. It goes like this...
    If the signal is green then you have the clear to go.
    Double yellow is slow down because the next signal could be yellow.
    Yellow means slow down a lot as the next signal could be red or it could be green.
    Flashing green means that the next signal is green BUT this is only on the 'East Coast Main Line'!

    • @RichyRail_
      @RichyRail_  5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @StArGazEr11713 that’s useless, thank you!!

    • @FsigOrg
      @FsigOrg 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Single yellow means the next signal IS red. Double yellow means the next signal IS a single yellow. Green means proceed at line speed...😊

    • @FsigOrg
      @FsigOrg 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@RichyRail_if the AWS goes off it could mean that the signal is yellow, or red. I believe sometimes it will warn of a lower speed limit

    • @FsigOrg
      @FsigOrg 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@RichyRail_also, there are position lights. If there's two white lights at a 45° angle, you can proceed but be prepared to stop... If there's two red or one white and one red then you must stop. Just to add some additional context.... Semaphore signals also have yellow distant arms, which are effectively a yellow signal if at a horizontal position.
