The Snake Temples of Kerala, also known as Sarpa Kavu, are actually a botanical jungle. These woodlands are becoming increasingly scarce nowadays. Traditionally, every large home or "Tharavadu" had its own Sarpa Kavu. People used to believe that if these Kavu were destroyed, God would punish them by not providing groundwater. It actually says that destroying trees will drain our groundwater. Nowadays, only a small piece of Sarpa Kavu or Snake Worshiping Area (forest) is maintained, and that is adjacent or within a temple.
Sarpa (snake) worshiped in Kerala because they live in patal lok, believe that they protect our land by protecting us from other roddents like rats, ghoose, white ants (deemak) etc, the temples are naturally created with dense trees, white ant nests and some rocks. It act as coolent to the property for around 5kms land. Heard that Americans studied these and creating Sarpa temples in their land. You can visit Sarpa temples in Kerala to know more about that. But you should be careful to observe the rituals in temple. ( Natural & free )

Later Tantric temples took over and Kaavu relegated to the background. Still every temple nurtures its own kaavu. Some Devi temples have Yakshi in the kaavu, who accompanies the Diety.

So sad to see you had an infection after nose piercing. It was so sweet to see you getting the piercing at Kalyan, but getting an infection after that is very rare. So sorry. Hope you'll get well soon. 🎉
For some people imitation Jewellery gives infection. I also got infection from gun piercing of second stud. It started healing only after wearing gold. I did from josco.
My daughter had an infection after nose piercing. She removed nosering and placed a piece of thin basil herb stic (thulsi)and aplied lukewarm salt water repeatedly. She recovered very soon..❤.
I think applying turemeric paste is good. Just from google Antiseptic: Turmeric has been used as an antiseptic for cuts, burns, and bruises in many South Asian countries. Antibacterial: Turmeric has antibacterial properties and can help treat wounds by reducing inflammation and oxidation. Anti-inflammatory: Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties and is used to treat a variety of conditions. Antioxidant: Turmeric has antioxidant properties. Antiviral: Turmeric has antiviral properties. Antifungal: Turmeric has antifungal properties.

So back in the time when population was very low and people used to live in a society formation and every society had such temple with Paambu Kaavu/Sarpa Kaavu/ Snake temple; Which was made to avoid rats and snake interaction from humans. Basically the society will do pooja to pay respect to the snake god according to the Vedas, Because snakes are also part of the ecosystem. So, after the pooja the people will put some food there as prasadam which will attract rats to eat and those rats will spend their quality time there which will attract snakes to eat the rats. This whole peaceful process keeps these animals far from the human habitat and also keeps the ecosystem alive. 🕉
