Steve abandoning Bucky to go back in time to be with Peggy was such a heartless move. This is your best friend. You have saved each other's lives multiple times, become criminals to help each other, and you're both men out of their time. Pretty much the only ones who can really understand each other. Bucky has also been tortured and brainwashed for decades, constantly being abused and not having anything close to the chance to ease into modern life like Steve did. And then, the first chance he gets, Steve just abandons his friend. His best friend, who has been with him through thick and thin, to go be with a woman he hadn't even begun an official relationship with yet before he went into the ice.
YESSS I don't think I will ever be not mad when thinking about how their story ended. Bucky and Steve deserved so much more, I'm so upset that Marvel made THIS. Honestly, if they really needed to make Buckys' story to go on without him, Steve dying would be a more logical outcome 'cause then at least he wouldn't be consciously leaving his best friends behind
I think it’s mostly because Disney had plans with Bucky as the winter soldier in their new series. Because you can not tell me that MCU Steve, the man who is so damn obsessed with his friend that it borders on bisexuality, would not think to himself “I want Bucky to be with me in the past as well” there’s no fucking way he wouldn’t think of that. No way in hell! The ONLY he didn’t do it, is because Disney got in the way and was like “now hold on… hold on…”
I think you're one of the first people I've really heard point out how messed up it was for Cap to leave Bucky in the future while he goes back for a woman who may have moved on. Anyway, yeah a lot of these characters do tend to be questionable in their pursuits.
I lowkey need him to actually bear the consequences of his actions. Nah, when he travelled back in time, Peggy should've been married to a whole other fellow and had kids with him.

He collected the stones during a peaceful time, it's implied after the war, maybe th 60s or 70s, but if so how did he meet up with Peggy again?? Conclusion: this shit makes no sense, time travel stories are hard. My sister theorised the only way it could make sense is if there was a second mysterious Stark generation, born soon after the war who is Tony's actual dad.
Comic Tony is ass yeah, but MCU Tony is fine, he didn't goes after any girls nor cheat when him and Pepper got together, maybe if you count a few flirt with Aunt May in Civil War but he was waiting for Peter and he needs to make excuses to May anyway to let Peter join him in Germany.
MCU Tony is actually shockingly faithful. Has playboy moments in the first and second movie, but leaves them way behind as a part of his character growth into a hero
There is an exception to the Logan-Scott-Jean love triangle. In X-Men Evolution, Wolverine is more of a father figure to Scott, and he is not interested in Jean.
Shoutout to that Bucky part. The Sharon thing was one thing, I hated that. If they were gonna commit to it like in the comics then do it but it felt so weird in the movie. But to leave Bucky there when he was clearly struggling and went through all his stuff, for Peggy…I still hate it. People never respond well when I mention it but it was real weird to me idk man. Hello I'm a fan of Nightwing and what I will say is that originally Nightwing and Starfire were supposed to get married a while back ,and they were supposed to be like DC's Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson but they thought that Nightwing should get a solo comic issue series which is cool to me but as you thought later down the like someone just had to fuck up Nightwing as a character and that person was Devin Grayson.
I heard the break up was because the people who were writing Batman comics were feeling like Nightwing was getting to distant from the Batman property but who knows what really happen
@@nightwing1491 Same, personally I find the the rum boring now. Hopefully next run will have a good story. I am hoping James Gordan Jr will be the villain.
I feel like with heroic superheroes, adding infidelity is such a tasteless move. For quite a lot of people, including myself, we see ourselves in these heroes, and they inspire us to do better, to be better. And sure, superheroes have flaws or weaknesses or doubts, but it's about pushing through and reconciling these moments of weakness that touches the hearts of so many people. Making a golden boy character a doghouse who bangs multiple love interests without any of them knowing ruins their character because infidelity is a pretty awful thing to do. It's an active decision to take advantage of someone's trust, and that's not what a hero should do. That's not what a good person should do. It just makes them seem like a sleaze. Of course, you can write a character who has multiple sexual partners, or cheats on people, well. But if you want that character to be a heroic figure, it's going to be dissonant.
I feel like with certain characters it works though, like Tony Stark is a self described “playboy” so ofc he’s gonna cheat, but seeing him improve as a person is part of his character
All batman is gonna say is "do as I say, not as I do" he's worse than nightwing. Nightwing is a fine boyfriend, just gets completely hoed by inconsistent writers when he should have been with starfire and have that be the end of it.
Nah bruh, Nightwing is my fave so i gotta clear some stuff up. Notice how all the panels you used as examples was from '85-2010? Dick was written like that back in the day because he was over sexualized and used as a self insert for the writer's fantasies. The same reason he kept getting sexually assaulted and even raped. Look up Devon Grayson for more on that, I'm not exaggerating. But like you said, it's not within his character to even do that type of shit. In modern comics, he's with Barbara. That's it. No cheating, no other love interests. My boy will not be slandered and victim blamed for the actions of crazy fangirls.
@pettybee3860 Kory>Babs. Hot Take, I think Dick should end up with Donna Troy. The basis for that relationship has been building for decades. That's just me tho. Anyone would be better than Barbara, no hate to her I just find her boring, like MJ for Peter.

Its not really recent. Imo Starfire just doesn't fit with Nightwing's setting anymore. It only worked back when Nightwing was exclusively a Titan but now he is established himself as a solo hero with a more grounded setting. Oracle is just a versatile character due to her role hence why she has become his most prominent love interest.
@@Tkclupz can we just forget that cursed nonsense. Never happened in the comics, its just a cursed pairing that exists only in the cartoon because one guy ships it.
@@Tkclupz It happened in the cartoon not in the comics. Yet people still try to bring it up even when discussing the comic version as if its canon to it. My mindset is all cursed pairings like Wanda and Pietro, Damian x Mari and a bunch more should be forgotten.
I'm a Nightwing fan, and ik ppl think he's a cheater, but it was the writers who messed him up. They mess everything up, then erase it from DC and pretend like it never happened. Also most of the time he has different girls in different universes, BUT sometimes the writers want to stir some drama up and start some beef between Kory and Babs. In the end, He's faithful, it's just that the writers mess up, then erase there mistakes by saying it was in another comic universe.
Nightwing cheating and then turning around to invite Babs to his wedding was character assassination. It was so out of left field. He’s a staunch monogamist. Cheating just doesn’t fit that. And I’ll never forgive Devin Grayson for how much got screwed up with Nightwings character during her run. Though, as much as Dick and Starfire were my first real ship, I always preferred him with Barbara. I absolutely HATED how hard they pushed her being into Bruce in BTaS. Especially when it always came off a little creepy to me. They never wrote Bruce being more than uncomfortable with her advances enough for me to believe they Could ever get together. Meanwhile, her relationship with Dick only deteriorated because he felt the need to get away from Bruce. (Also, I have a big problem with writers making their female characters literally step in between existing family relationships. Like, Babs should not have been trying to get with her ex’s dad. And n52 Starfire had no business sleeping with her ex’s little brother. Just because both those relationships were on the outs at the time, doesn’t make it any better. Those are relationships that they have No business getting involved with. It made Barbara look immature and Kory uncaring and selfish.)
I’m always thankful for X-men Evolution which showed us a great way to write Wolverine stories while making sure that he was no longer fixated on Jean Grey. I wish we could get another version of him like that. He also has lots of other great romantic matches in the comics.
I really don't know about the others, but with Nightwing, I will defend him to the bitter end, because it really was bad writing. When they switched writers in like the 90s, they switched the ship from him with Starfire to him with Barbara. And to do this they had to retcon a lot and make it seem like Dick was never really in love with Kory (but he totally was, dude was stupid in love) and so to make the relationship seem less genuine or to prove that it's really Barbara he's supposed to be with, they had him cheat. Which by the way, does not fit with his character. Dude was big into monogamy, like, it took him a little while to get used the idea of Starfire being married even though it was a loveless marriage. Also, Dick's generally seen as very loyal, and one of the more emotionally available Bats.
Nah Nightwing cheating was so out of character;DC just wanted him and Star to break up so Nightwing would go back to Gotham cause they got mad he was more popular as a Titan then a Batfam member
Scott was the victim of bad writers tho, he was great for years and the victim of a "me me me" when Jean went through her Phoenix arc. They've also made it canon apparently that he's turned on by dangerous women, and by dangerous it seems they meant he's in danger of getting mind-effed when he cheats. 😂
I think Cap is the only one that can get a pass because he was not in a relationship with any of these women, he took a kiss from two and then went back in time to re-live with his first crush (I know it's thin ice but circumstances were chaotic for this man's love life). As for Scott and Nightwing, no excuses. Wolverine...is weird...because again he's not committed to anyone but he's definitely eating whatever falls on his plate (literally I think he kissed Hercules at some point 🤔) Anyone who doesn't balance well their life's relationships (family, friends, work) is not ready to date/marry. Reed Richards and Susan Storm were very bad for each other in the movies (idk how their relationship is in the comics)

@@maysun3752 Yeah Rose is cool but Jason deserves better than playing third place to his brothers. I miss Artemis and Bizaro. Jason has been going downhill since then and now he is like a side character in his own book.
Eh, no, you can't put MCU Steve Rogers in the cheaters category. Peggy is dead by the time he even considers Sharon as a love interest, and after he kisses her, they verbally acknowledge the timing is wrong, and there is no indication that they had a relationship after that moment. In fact, the Falcon and Winter Soldier series confirmed that they never saw each other again after that kiss. So Steve was perpetually single from the time he entered the modern day to the time he went back to Peggy - something he hadn't even considered an option until after Tony invented time travel IN THAT SAME MOVIE. Is it a bit weird that he made a move on Peggy's grand niece? Yeah, it is. Is he a cheater? Hell no.
Yeah it’s funny the dude mentions that when, during the preparation stages of D-Day in 1944, Britain had a wave of illegitimate births from British women shacking up with American GIs whilst their husbands were away at war. It’s talked about heavily in this one D-Day documentary I can’t remember the name of, but the narrator says “God bless British girls” as a cheeky little joke after he states what happened. That is like far worse imo. Imagine coming back from some of the worst fighting in North Africa or being a survivor at Dunkirk just to see your woman give birth to another man’s bastard. Heart breaking. It’s especially prevalent here in the States in big budget war films like Jarhead for example.
She sure wasn't the moment she took interest in Logan & Logan in her Scott should've kicked her butt to the curb "Oh, this is what you like ok, when he's done with you don't come crawling back to me." If Mariko was still alive Logan wouldn't even look at Jean then I recently learned Logan tried getting with Spider-Man's wife MJ. I was like "Are these writers f@cked in the head? Why would you do tnat?"
Bruh we can't talk about the horndog character trope without talking about both Susan Storm who has a larger roster than the entire Marvel vs capcom franchise and ofc her stupid brother who literally prevented Doom from becoming a good guy cuz he couldn't resist clapping his fiancee's cheeks the night before the wedding, at least with Dick Grayson he's always the one to make the 2nd step ( also let's not forget about new 52 starfire )
Batman needs to beat his a**???Where on God's green Earth do you think he learned that behavior??? Batman is my all-time favorite DC character, but Bruce Wayne is the blueprint of "belongs to the streets."
In defence for Cyclops...jean was for the streets first and kept giving him shit for getting mad. Since bad writers are basically the norm with comics, I'm gonna say it: She had it coming.
X-men 97' Scott I can SLIGHTLY forgive mainly for the fact that not only did Jean like- kiss Logan minutes before Scott kissed Madelyn but also Madelyn had been Scotts wife/Jean long enough to have his kid meaning he's gonna hold love for the woman who literally had his son even if he's with Jean now, because he thought that was his whole ass wife for SO LONG to the point where they don't know when the switched happened and Jean and Madelyn don't know who's memories are who's. But I can't defend Comic Scotts actions.
What’s even worse about Captain America in the movies is that he had a whole arc about accepting what happened and that Peggy moved on, then moved on himself (or at least started the process by letting go). Then they go and retcon everything by making that man obsessed with Peggy again out of nowhere and then letting him go back in time. Mind you, Peggy originally moved on from Steve and had a whole family with one of Steve’s squad mates. By going back in time, Steve essentially murdered an entire bloodline of people. I’m still forever mad at that. They ruined an important aspect of Steve, as well as a really good message, just to pat themselves on the back for giving Steve some cheeks to clap.
Personally, I'm willing to give Scott a pass. We still don't know when Sinister swapped Jean for Madelyne and Sinister made the clone for the specific purpose to see what would happen if Scott and "Jean" were to conceive a child. So, knowing that Sinister literally made Madelyne to be Scott's personal sex puppet is something that I can't blame him for. But regarding Emma Frost, I'm convinced that Chris Claremont wanted to draw a stripper when he created her. So, the fact that she and Jean have similar powers I can see why Scott would do it.
Hawkgirl in Justice League animated series was making out with Green Lantern while having a boyfriend on her home planet She also was on a mission I love Shayera but girl… she was bad soldier and bad girlfriend too lol
Yeah, that whole "destiny" bullshit really made me question why I liked her (I still do just not as much). First in the past where we see her die because she cheated (or a version of her I'm not sure which), then her actively cheating on her fiancee with john, and what's worse is that they tried justifying the relationship by introducing their son in the future
The whole Scott, Jean and Madeleine thing technically isn't Cheating as Jean and Madeleine are the same person, same genetics, appearance and memories.
If you want to be technical, Jean was cheated on since she as an organism was with Scott. Also Madeleine is like less than a year old chronologically so...
@@theanimekid7839 We don't know when they switched tho, and Madelyne is the mother of Scott's son. It makes total sense that he would be with her when times were confusing

It's seen as cheating by some because they're seperate forms, regardless of how identical they are. However, it's not cheating since Scott didn't know--and when he did, it was him having a conversation with his son's mom. They did go through a lot of stuff in just the first three episodes.
Big Barda and her husband Scott are still going strong. I think the only threat was when Barda and Superman where being mind controlled and almost slept together for a B rate villans adult entertainment plot.
Nightwing is in my top 4 favorite comic characters of all time, and I will say every time, with my whole chest, that he's the best member of the entire Bat-family, Batman included, but the shit he pulled with Barbara before his wedding was DIRTY.
Jason Todd when he tried to get with starfire while she had amnesia and literally put him in a knightwing costume and never mentioned that the reason she was attracted to him was cuz she dated his older brother
The thing with nightwing is writers can't decide who he should be with and honestly they should give up on both starfire and barbara cause its like again really bitch. I think he's only with zatanna in yj that could be good in the comics though he needs a more mature relationship and i'm sick of constantine butting into everything zatanna does
Batman: Dick, I heard what you did with Catwoman!!! Want to explain?! Nightwing: Sure, after you explain what _you_ did with *Batgirl!!!* Batman:... Good talk.
Batman is definitely a bad love interest overall. He’s a guy wearing a leather gimp furry ninja costume, he is trash as a father figure towards pretty much all of his kids (or at least the ones that DC bothers to remember exist), but worst of all, he is utterly obsessively committed to his mission, even at the expense of others including his own family and friends. It’s this utter obsession with his mission and awful treatment of his family that really sours my attitude towards the character. Makes me wanna go magic route and just launch him so high he enters the sun’s atmosphere and burns to a crisp. Knowing him tho, he’d just come back like William Afton and hunt me down, maybe he’ll even defeat me before I even get the first hit, but don’t worry, that’s only if he sees me coming. Since I’m gonna go reality warping, I’ll just spam him with defeat until he agrees to treat everyone else better..
The thing about Batman is that he’s kinda like the reverse of Mario. Mario has no personality while Batman has about 100 different ones depending on who’s writing him. Batman can and should be an actual good dad but he’s not when hacks write him

It's his life though. if he wants to dedicate his life to fighting crime what's our business? The whole obsessive trait goes out the window when you realise the stuff Batman has to fight and deal with. It's why in my opinion the Batfamily is the single worst thing that happened to Batman. It removed the concentration from Batman going on missions and actually doing what we came to see him do, which is to catch badguys (basically being competent at crime fighting) and saving lives to how he handles the family. One Robin was enough, two was a bad idea obviously (Jason) but the third time was just stupid as hell and what really ruined him (Tim).

Has Peter Parker been a doghouse? I know in Spider-Man 3, he flirted with Gwen to spite MJ (tho MJ herself was a pretty nasty person), but he was under the influence of Venom.
Regarding the Logan angle, he's been alive since the 1800's so the idea of him being loyal to one woman is literally not possible. That being said, the fact that he's tried to date every female member of the X-Men (except Rogue for obvious reasons) is a little scummy. And I always thought it was flawed on Marvel's editorial staff to literally have a clone of Jean Grey and not have Logan be the answer to the love triangle. If Logan is in love with Jean, he'd love Madelyne too. Or just have him literally get with Jean and have Scott get with Emma Frost, in both situations everybody wins.
It's a shame because other forms of media show that they can be great partners, or just not cheat. Young justice, teen titans, earth's mightiest heroes, the list goes on. And what's even more sad is that even in versions where they do cheat, they're otherwise good characters. It's just the writers they have at the time want to be weird with them.
Batman TAUGHT Nightwing that shi. And they way I love all 3 characters but absolutely DESPISE what the writers did:( like damn, they're on some demon type shi
The good news is, at least men in comics have always been kind to their partners….he said, sarcastically setting up a pt 2 for a bad love interests video
Your next video should be about when the side chick is better than the main chick. Because I've always believed that Black Cat is far more useful to Spider-Man than Mary Jane is despite being the side chick.
That's only in the cartoon. People love to bring up this cursed pairing as if it actually means anything anymore. Bats never slept with Barbara in the comics. Disgusting.
That's only in the cartoon. Its not canon to the comics. Also even if we count cartoons, Nightwing slept with Bruce's childhood sweet heart and made out with his girlfriend.
Gotta cut Cap some slack here though. It's not like there was a bunch of 80+ year olds looking like they are in their 30s walking around being age appropriate hookups. Yeah, Sharon was related to Peggy, but that's some distant shit, it's not like he hit it with her daughter or something such.

1. he couldn't change era without the machine, meaning he went to one date (40s or 60s) and stayed there
2. Tony Stark was being born that year, his dad mentioned it, which puts into question just how old both Tony and his dad were... is Stark Sr a 50 year old who looks 30, or is Tony 70?
Tony not even being mentioned is wild
DUDE THANK YOU I was like “so we’re bringing up cap but completely side-lining the literal self described playboy?? Ok”
One of the reasons why I love Xmen Evolution.

Thank god for alternate versions of these characters
Also in current comics all three of them are together
Atleast Nightwing is doing great now. Had a rough couple of years durring Didio's reign but he made it.
Can't say the same for Spiderman.
I heard the break up was because the people who were writing Batman comics were feeling like Nightwing was getting to distant from the Batman property but who knows what really happen

100% agree
w thats why superman spidey and cyclops should never cheat
I feel like with certain characters it works though, like Tony Stark is a self described “playboy” so ofc he’s gonna cheat, but seeing him improve as a person is part of his character
@@davidakin3840that's why all heroes should never cheat. Only works if it's a flaw they overcome, not something glamorized.

I really wish he was with Starfire though
@pettybee3860 Kory>Babs. Hot Take, I think Dick should end up with Donna Troy. The basis for that relationship has been building for decades. That's just me tho. Anyone would be better than Barbara, no hate to her I just find her boring, like MJ for Peter.

I hope part two has Hawkeyes comic book love life. I swear the MCU version of the character is the only one that can keep a relationship long-term
Thank you
Cyclops cheating? Jean Gray cheated on him with every man that appeared in front of her
I’m always thankful for X-men Evolution which showed us a great way to write Wolverine stories while making sure that he was no longer fixated on Jean Grey.
Nightwing got his rizz from Batman. That's why Nightwing is Batman's greatest success.
Nah Nightwing cheating was so out of character;DC just wanted him and Star to break up so Nightwing would go back to Gotham cause they got mad he was more popular as a Titan then a Batfam member
The nightwing thing is actually wild
Stan red hood
Wolverine...is weird...because again he's not committed to anyone but he's definitely eating whatever falls on his plate (literally I think he kissed Hercules at some point 🤔)
Anyone who doesn't balance well their life's relationships (family, friends, work) is not ready to date/marry. Reed Richards and Susan Storm were very bad for each other in the movies (idk how their relationship is in the comics)

Ultimate Ant man was such a bad husband that Captain America dropped a construction site on him.
Captain America was also technically a home wrecker by the end of his arc in the MCU.
How the F Nightwing can score a baddie like Starfire and repeatedly look elsewhere is a testament to how shitty of a father Bruce Wayne really was.
Well said also even if he did kiss sharon when Peggy was alive Peggy was old and had dementia what was Steve supposed to do.

I hate when they make a likable character purposely do unlikeaboe things 😭😭😭 it’s all up to the writers
So, the fact that she and Jean have similar powers I can see why Scott would do it.
that emma frost nonsense was uncalled for tho
You'll give Scott a pass for Emma Frost because of her similar powers to Jean? Lol wut

Batman: Dick, I heard what you did with Catwoman!!! Want to explain?!

I love Nightwing and all but this guy needs a good slap 😭 at least in his new comic run he isn’t acting up
Regarding the Logan angle, he's been alive since the 1800's so the idea of him being loyal to one woman is literally not possible.
Holy shit you’re a genius. (Even though I prefer Logan with Storm. Their relationship is just so…easy)

And what's even more sad is that even in versions where they do cheat, they're otherwise good characters. It's just the writers they have at the time want to be weird with them.

the joker not being here is absolutely insane 😭🙏
Bro went off so hard got a age-restriction
You know how Batgirl in the Animated Series basically stringed Nightwing along while getting frisky (and literally pregnant) with his father figure?
Well, let's say that now they are even after this 2:18
Like bro; these two torment each other in a way even the Joker would feel is too far.
6:25 Cap did MORE THAN ENOUGH for Bucky. Justice my ass. He don't need to be asking Cap for a damn thing
Ion know, leaving your day one homie for a chick you kissed once is crazy to me, and to not even say nothing prior to that is crazier
Somebody mention Sydney from Legion series, like the whole series she wants to kill legion and did many times while legion still loves her like a stupid character he is.
definitely want to see a part 3
I wonder who will be on that list, Rogue, Kite Man, Poison Ivy, Joker, Nora Freeze?
LETS GOOO RED HOOD ENJOYERS RISE!!!

Dick/Babs/Kory/Donna/Kara is canon.
Romanogers for life!
Jean is my favorite and one of the reasons I married a redhead (along with Babs). Jean and Emma are best frenemies with benefits.
