  • In this tutorial I'm going to show you how you can quickly and easily create melting like effects using the Jiggle Deformer. We'll start by modeling the lollipop, then we'll move onto using Weight/Vertex Maps to define which parts of our lollipop geometry we want to melt. Next, we'll use a Pose Morph tag to be able to animate our drips via animating the Vertex Maps. We'll finish the tutorial off by texturing our lollipop to make it look like tasty candy! Yum!
    If you have any questions be sure to post it in the comments section and if you create any drippy candy action, be sure to share it with me! Thanks for watching!

    Hi, I have to make an umbrella animation for a client. The umbrella has to open and close. I'm really struggling with cloth dynamics and mosplines. Any advice? - since you're the C4D god.

    I find this very complicated, I used "GELATINE" and Random, and that made the trick for a liquid jelly effect :)

    It is very well rendered. I think getting a new computer. Which do you think Imac 5k vs. Mac Pro 6-8-12 core ? Nice lesson.

    Hi! This tutorial looks great!
    Do you know if it's possible to do this tutorial in C4D Lite?

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi maxime! Unfortunately C4D Lite doesn't have the Jiggle Deformer so you would be unable to follow along in C4D Lite :(

    Hi, Sam again with another question...If I want this melt down part colide with a surface how can I make it...I want to make something like butter melt on a surface, thanks alot!

      You could use some Soft Body Dynamics but I have the feeling that could give issues. What I would try is using a Squash and Stretch Deformer OR a Melt Deformer that would be positioned on the floor, so when the jiggle melt reaches close to it, it'll Melt or spread out via those 2 deformers I mentioned. Might have to play with some Linear Falloff for them too. Hope that helps!

    Hi there Ej, quick question here, can the metaball be linked to the jiggle deformer to create a drip effect (where one drop comes out of the entire melting scene) ?
    Thank you in advance !

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you could definitely do that if you add some type of spline to the object Metaball group

    Question: I did the jiggle deformer, but it doesn't move when I move the object, only if I play the animation. In your tutorial it kind of animates in realtime in the view port and updates. I'm new to Cinema so I'm not sure how to get it to play like that or show in the viewport

    Is it possible to achieve the same effect on a text object? whenever i try to do it i cant paint a uv map on my letters. I tried making editable but even then its not possible (using paint tool highlights random dots instead?!). Anyone ever had this issue?

    HI There,
    Thanks for the tutorials. Learning loads from you. I was wondering if you knew if this technique can be used in conjunction with soft body dynamics. think about that this lolly pop has a table underneath and when the lolly drips, the drip collides with the table. I tried using dynamics but I could not make it work, it seems that jiggle does not like dynamics tag. Any tip would be great.

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Zak! So for that what I'd do is bake the Jiggle Deformer deformation so it's just an animated mesh and then apply softbodies to that mesh.

      got it, thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. Your tutorials are brilliant, keep it up. Learning a great deal.

    Hey, love your videos man, great help. I'm having an issue though, when I go to use the paint tool nothing happens, the object doesn't turn red or anything. I have the object selected and I don't know why it's not working. I'm trying to affect a bubbly letter (made from your bubbly type tutorial). Can you help?

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +JohnnyBrennan Is your object editable and are you in Polygon mode?

    • @JohnnyBrennan
      @JohnnyBrennan 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +eyedesyn how do you know whether its editable or not?

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +JohnnyBrennan Meaning can you select your object and hit "C" to make it editable polygons.

    • @JohnnyBrennan
      @JohnnyBrennan 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +eyedesyn yeah ive done that and its in polgon mode but still nothings happening..

    Is there a way to animate it melting?

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Perhaps you could keyframe the Jiggle Strength and that would in a way animate the melting!
