I was surprised when he screamed at the start do you know where u are!! I thought wow that sounds fantastic sounds like rock n roll back in the day!!. Then he sung like he was goin 25% and sounded a little..too proper like hecwas singing at the opera?
Well, Guns N Roses have a whole bunch of radio hits. Maiden are flying more under the radar for a band of their stature, especially in the USA. I think it's perfectly understandable that GNR would go on afterwards.
Saw them both within a month earlier in the year and G'n'R were superior in every aspect of live music. Maiden were musically perfect but just boringly went through the motions, they never change the setlist on a tour and have dumb laser battle crap going on with a puppet on stilts. Guns put 100% into a three and a half hour set, no crap, virtually no talk, classic songs and, yeah, bum notes included. I know which I prefer.

If you can stand the weak falsetto voice the majority of the time. I can't. It's unbearable. I think it's unacceptable to cheat your fans like that. The man is worth $200 million. Certainly he can hire the best vocal coaches in order to get his voice in the kind of shape required to sing the tunes properly.

That doesn’t surprise me. It has to be a great payday for AC/DC to come out of retirement to do a one off. And Metallica is about equal as far as name identity to them so it’d make sense they’re payed the same.

If Axl vocals can't improve, GNR should look for another singer. If Skid Row can do it so can GNR. The band sounds great, but the vocals are not there.
