I’m amused at the people who do not find it funny that his mates found them, had a drink themselves and he got stitched up with all the empties in front of him lol

Exactly. These robots should live in a monastery & sleep in an oxygen tent.

Wouldnt mind that level of discipline from Graham if he didnt take a £500k bung and then managed Spurs. I mean what a pond life hypocrite

      7k it was

@@ScottyDog345 It was proven to be £425,000 (sterling), so the original poster was in the right ballpark. It wasn’t 7k.

Going on to manage Spurs is one of these things that Arsenal and Spurs fans (think Sol Campbell) like to get cross about. When I was a boy (late 70s, early 80s) there was rivalry and jealousy, but none of this nonsense of getting cross if someone "crossed the line". Most school friends in those parts supported one or the other team. Likewise in workplaces.
Some (not all) of the militant, angry aggressive stuff about crossing North London has come along in the last 30 years, much of it from folk who would have trouble finding Highbury or WHL without a Satnav.
GG was a fabulous player and a fabulous manager for the Gunners.
The bung was wrong. It was greedy. And he paid the price.

@@BanjoLuke1 agree mate, I’m from the same era (first stood on the North bank mid 70’s) no fuss when Pat Jennings signed and he’s still loved (and employed) by Spurs, likewise Willie Young....George Graham will always be my favourite Arsenal manager.

Yes George Graham, Harry Redknapp, Big Sam, old school managers open to the idea of a brown envelope under the table 🤣
