This is simply my favorite song ever, by any band. And of course Lovebites is in my opinion the greatest band (metal or otherwise) ever. With over 50 years of listening to metal behind me, these ladies are the best I've ever heard. Nice reaction.

The members of LOVEBITES consider the UK to be the birthplace of metal and have a special regard for the UK. And just six months after their major debut, the Japanese cultural event "Hyper Japan Xmas 2017" in the UK was their first live performance abroad. (November 2017) The following day, they performed at The Underworld live house in London. Currently, they are only scheduled to perform at a live festival in the U.S. next year, but I think they will go to the U.K. soon.
Their Underworld gig was, according to Midori talking to the audience, their first full length gig ever. Until then they had only played 30 minute or so slots. They played all the tracks from Awakening from Abyss. What I said yesterday…and yes, Asami-san has an amazing voice with unbelievable stamina. She does this for two hours, and the final song of the recent tour is as demanding, if not more demanding than this one. Nice to see the bite wounds are not healing. PS “bitten” refers to “Love-bitten” not “Wolf-bitten” though the name “Wolfpack” derives from the band’s identification with wolves on their album and EP artwork (handy because it ties with the nickname of my lifelong football team).

Lovebites toured Europe and Asia in 2018 and 2019. Their performance at Wacken Open Air, Germany, 2018, was a real success, just 2 years after the band was formed. They also toured the UK in 2019, opening for Dragonforce (they’re good friends, by the way). The level of these women are beyond belief.
Lovebites has been to the UK in 2017, 2018, and 2019 (toured with DragonForce). Covid put a stop to their overseas touring since then plus they had a one year hiatus when their original bass player left the band and two members got married and gave birth to a child. But it now looks like 2024 they will resume since they have already scheduled a date in the USA in Sept 2024.

Asami, amazing voice, and an excellent dancer. Fami, such amazing bass skills, was a master by 16. Also, a very good guitarist, piano, composer and singer in her own right. Blows my mind how good she became at such a young age. And she nearly gave it all up. And Miyako, Shes the most talented lady I've seen in some time. Amazing guitarist. They also have some great musicvideos; I'll recommend Shadowmaker, When destinies align and Glory to the world. Look for live from the Abyss if you want to see them live in the studio in more casual clothes. If you want to see Miyako playing extraordinairy piano take a look at Swan song with Chopin intro.
