They call these a super game improvement iron. Well I’m off 15 and my mates reckon they’ve never seen me hit my irons better than with the new Cleveland HBs. The sweet spot is massive, only drama is you can go 20 metres long until you dial in your distances. Anyone over 50 you are crazy if you don’t kit up these bad boys!
I read several reviews and comments placed about the Launcher HB irons, comments such as “no self respecting golfer would use them”, “wouldn’t be seen dead with them in my bag”, bet those guys never actually tried them. After a demo I bought a set (regular steel shaft), one trip to the range and then 18 holes this morning. Just beat my playing partner by 9 holes and was five under my handicap, mainly as a result of the ease and accuracy of the mid to long irons. Love them 5 star ! Go by results, not looks
Looking at getting a couple of these for my set (PW-7I) only question is if you can work the ball - I prefer to draw shots. Can you put a draw on these irons?
Prravit Khanijo, Main difference is that the ball will launch very high, therefore as a higher handicap you can simply concentrate on putting the club face on the ball...it will launch! Another advantage to these clubs is that they have amazing stopping power with that launch and the spin rates. When you hit a 150 yard shot it won’t roll an extra 12-15 yards off a green or into a bunker, it will simply settle in within a couple steps of where it landed. Bottom line is that they have a great ball flight and you can begin to trust and therefore improve your swing.
Have a full set of these irons.. wouldn’t change them ever! Great set of clubs... also found them better hitting out the rough... really please to finally see someone putting them on video...( thanks )
I demoed these at a local nine hole course out of curiosity. Decided to play no other clubs but the Cleveland set (not counting putter). Just 4H through PW. First hole: 4H, 4H five feet from the pin. Birdie. I'm a 12 handicap and I was 2 under through 6, 1 over after 9. Ordered them immediately. Off the tee on two par threes, laser-like pin seekers. Twice I compared my PW (very reliable) with the HB. Big difference. Face on the HB much hotter, contact much crisper. Often leave my chips a little short, but chipped in from 35 feet with HB PW. Since I prefer hybrids to fairway woods, I wish Cleveland offered an 18 or even a 15 degree version. I have probably watched or read 25 reviews of these clubs and everyone, even scratch players, rave about these clubs. With any luck, mine arrive today. Will post updates.
Mark, thanks for an honest review. Working in the industry, it always bothers me that people refuse to play clubs that could help their game just because of a stereotype.
Hi Mark. When I joined my 1st golf-club my regular partner was a retired gent who had a full set of lovely Browning Low-Profile irons ( can't remember the exact model ). They had VERY wide soles like these . He could shoot low 90's , occasionally mid 80's , loved his golf . Then the club pro talked him into trading them in for new ones , whatever the holy grail of irons was at the time. He never played as well again, tried to buy the Brownings back , but they'd gone like rockets . If they were lefties I'd have bought them off him for the£30 or £40 trade -in . Sadly, at the end of that year he decided not to renew his subs , gave the game up .
I found a set of the originals, pw thru 4 iron and bought them for a 100US. Added 1 to 1/2 clubs to distance and increased accuracy. Wedge now doing 130-140, 9 goes 145-155 and so on. Second year player, 61 years old, 5' 8", 160#, was hitting low 90's on a 126 course rating from tees I use. . Now consistently mid to high 80's same course. Snobs won't like them but if you aren't a snob and just want to be better they are great for us beginners. It's about enjoying the sport not bragging about your clubs. Have watched dozens of your videos. You, Shiels and 1Atomic Golf in Australia are excellent sources of info. Thanks.
I have played Golf for 40+ years and these Irons, Wedges and Woods are by far the best I have ever owned, they have given me a new lease in life. Well done Cleveland and thank you very much
I love that they brought these back first set of irons I ever used been through 20 sets since. Gotten rid of every one except these I kept them as a spare set so me friends that have never played can start with a good set. Absolutely thrilled about these all though I don't play them anymore
Mark. Thank you. I have been playing for 5 months and have just shot under 100 using some hand-me-down Mizuno Zoids. Pulled the trigger on these after seeing your video and on my first outing shot an 88. They are unbelievable. Every single shot is arrow straight and goes exactly where you want it to go. Why is everyone not using them? Couldn't be happier.
I just hit the range with these for the first time today. In my 20+ years of playing, it was by far the best I’ve ever hit irons!! They launch so freaking high!
If you can actually play and you go out with your golf buddies and consistently shoot in the low 80's... high 70's they will start off laughing and end up crying. Trust me when I say that no body laughs at my set.
Oh my. I just hit these at the Bayonet/Blackhorse range and they are a game changer.. After hitting four or five shots each, 8 through 5 iron, I bought them on the spot. I am an ex-teaching professional. I expected to hate how these look (always played forged Mizunos with reasonably thin top edges) but after witnessing my shot shape and the added distance, I had no problem with the looks. I didn't expect to be able to draw or fade or knock down these clubs very easily and I had no problem. In fact, hitting a cut felt like cutting butter. No slap, no clank. Yes, I know what I am doing to make these shot shapes happen, but clearly, these clubs weren't any harder to manipulate than my Mizunos and THEY FELT BETTER. The only thing I don't know at this point is how the 8 iron performs around the green doing long chip shots...will it pick the ball up too much? Hmmm. Note, I am 66 years old and believe me, I need all the help I can get. The superlative quotes laced throughout this video are spot on. These are incredible clubs. Hats off to the Cleveland engineers. Cleveland took a big financial gamble, but I predict that this club will be duplicated by every major club manufacturer next year and that clubs of this ilk will be the most popular clubs in the market in less than two years. They really are that easy to hit. Ridiculously high, straight, and long compared to my regular irons. And by the way, I HATE hybrids. These are NOT hybrids. They are something completely new. I would say that this is as big a change from a standard set of irons, as the big-head drivers were from the old titanium, metal woods. I won't get my clubs for another two weeks, but when I do, I will report my experience here. I can tell you, after hitting these off the matt and turf, these absolutely outperformed my Mizuno 850s, the so-called improvement irons from Mizuno. The physics works!
KPAX: I'm a senior, 60 yrs old returning to the game from years of injury to my left wrist. I was always a great ball striker, I played forged Mizuno's, but now with the permanent injury and the need for distance and forgiveness I fancy these might be the answer to my golfing future, I was considering one-length irons but these things are getting great reviews,. Ugly doesn't bother me. You say you have no problem shaping these, clubs, does that go through the set or stop with the shorter irons? The beauty of the game lies in moving the ball, to hit nothing but straight shots would bore the socks off me. Also, I was never a good long iron player, do the 4 & 5 perform like a hybrid or just an ugly iron club? You're comments would be really appreciated as your previous remarks were most helpful to me. You clearly know what you are talking about.
I’m a low handicapper normally playing mizuno mp clubs. Bought these in 5,6,7 and put in stiffer slightly heavier shafts. Works brilliantly. Couldn’t be happier.
(Left handed, stiff flex, steel shafts, 48 years old) Because of this, and one other review I decided to give these clubs a try. They are the easiest irons I’ve ever hit! I like hitting hybrids and this line just runs the entire bag. Played three rounds now with the Cleveland's and all 3 were qualifiers for my handicap with 2 of the 3 being the lowest rounds I’ve shot in the past year. Still learning the wedges but 8-4 irons are smooth as glass...I expect I’ll get the wedges dialed in soon and love them just as much. Hitting the same distances as my old Cobras (8-140/50, 7-150/60, 6-160/70, 5-170/80, and 4-180/195 yards)....just plan on the ball stopping once it lands instead of rolling off the back of the green. As you’ve heard here many times off center hits are so much more forgiving which will keep those bad shots from going haywire. Just plan on putting in some time to get the feel for the clubs.
Update on the iron switch: in 3 months I've played 17 rounds and dropped my HC 3 strokes, and 9 of my 10 qualifying HC rounds were with these irons. While overall distances are very similar to my old irons the difference is that these irons are carrying almost the entire distance and then stopping!...even my 4 iron is holding within 2-5 yards of roll-out from the divot.
I used to play "game improvement" irons in Adams A12OS (I think) which were GW-7i as chunky irons, and 6-4 were hybrids. Switched to Ping i2015 a year ago and am now a 6.6 handicap but I've slowly put the hybrids back in the bag all the way down to 6. I like the idea of help where it's needed and I don't care what tools I use to get me to lower scores. Too much ego in golf. Think you should rock these bad boys in your next tour pro vlog 😂
Had I not bought the older HiBore XL irons a few years back I probably would have given up on golf... Those of you that said if it improved your handicap you still wouldn't use them... have lost your damn mind.
Just got a set, i'm a 9 handicap, took them on the course, to get carry yardages, hit them from 105, 115, 125, 135, 145, 155, 3 balls each yardage, I only bought the 6 thur pw. So 18 shots, 3 missed green out of 18, the shots that missed were close to the green. Even shots I hit poorly ended up on the green. They are a bit ugly, but I think I will get over that soon enough. I have been playing Mizuno mx 23 irons, which are fairly easy to move around, also easy to miss and get a bad result. If you are interested in playing these be ready to hit dead straight shots, ( which I am not used to ) the ball jumps off the face of these clubs and goes where you aim it. The down side for me is, they are difficult to work fades and draws. The will move but, I personally couldn't get them to move a lot, which just means I have to get my eyes to adjust to the new targets. Amazing club, I think they give loads of confidence over the ball, they sound fine to me, excellent out of the rough. Carry yards were 3-4 yards further than my Mizuno's although they are lower lofted so I am guessing that's why. Full disclosure, I do hit my hybrids fairly well, which leads me to believe people that hit hybrids well would benefit the most from these clubs.
Hit alot of different irons at golf town.....then hit these...all i can say is i ended up buying them in graphite.......loved the feel....and the out come....excited to get them out on the coarse soon as the snow melts....cheers Mark
i have had these 3 months and they have changed my game. Greatest irons ever!! They are great for pitching, too. I love pitching with the sand and gap wedge.
fdllicks I have some old Adams clubs I use that are hybrid irons and I hit them so much better than regular irons! I wanna buy these. I bet they’d help a lot
I'm currently looking at these to replace my 5 and 6 irons. The spin numbers are spot on with consistent distances when I've hit them. I've found they are just so much easier to hit consistently, and I'm hoping they can help me drop a few strokes in my approach shots from 175-200 yards. That is one of the weakest areas of my game right now. Worth giving it a go anyway.
I played with an old retired railway conductor 15 or more years ago that had a set of these in Clevelands previous bid at a hybrid set of Irons, they were some of the highest flying irons I'd ever seen. Now that I'm a retired railway engineer I just might have to try these newer versions. Good post Mark.
After a lot of testing in my local store, I just bought the 7HB in the regular graphite shaft (and had the loft increased from 30 to 31 degrees) to plug the “180 yard distance” gap in my bag that sits between my 5 hybrid, (one length cobra F8 which I LOVE- best club ever) that I hit 190-200 yards comfortably, and my 8 iron (160 yards.) The Cleveland HB has become my perfect par 3 club.... any hole around the 165-185 mark I am bombing from the tee. Cos of the height and spin, the ball stops dead on the green (or very close to it) so I can attack the pin from the tee with confidence. And the club allows me to shape the ball either way if I want to.... but really it’s just easier to aim it straight and go for it 😂 Either way, as a decent mid handicapper, this club has filled a space in my bag that previously was a bit of an issue. I’m Feeling much more confident on those middle distances now and I don’t care one bit if I’m using an “SGI” club.... scorecard after 18 holes and having fun is what counts right!?
Hey Mark. I'm a 22 handicapper. Got into golf late in life around 50. 62 now and recently purchased these after demoing pretty much all the SGI at the pga superstore. These clubs came on top. I'm of similar mindset. I could care less what they look like ( I find em sexy)..cause a par or birdie on the score will lower my handicap, not some Gucci looking club that I paid a God awful amount of money for. Great review. 🇨🇦
Ive got a set of the old HiBores. Every time I use other clubs, I always go back to my old clevelands. Heading to Pinehurst Thursday for a 4 day golf weekend and these are going with me. If anyone wants to buy a new set of the HiBores and then hate them... give them to me... Key word "GIVE"
great clubs for a 73yr old. Now only 15 yards behind Mark on carry distance. Do not care what they look like, only care about results, which are great for me.
I have NEVER hit a hybrid in my life, always struggled with long irons, became pretty good with fairway woods, from 3 to strong 9, bought these in 4 thru PW, will NEVER go back to anything else. I'm 60 with a severe back injury and can hit these so easily. 11 handicap, legitimate last year, expect it to drop by at least 5 this year. thanks
Please play a couple of vlogs with these. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for my game ever got to the point I couldn't use my irons effectively. Play whatever works. for you.
At the beginning of July I got a set of forged CB irons, the same model as my blades. I put them straight in the bag and have been keeping a close eye on my stats. They feel just the same of the Blades and I didn't really need a breaking in period. I haven't been playing as well as normal and have been shooting a few shots outside my handicap. The main reason is that my misses are wider than they would normally be, where I would just be off the side of the green, with the CB's I'm twice as wide. It's not in all the irons either, the PW - 6 are the main culprits. The 5,4 & 3 are a slight improvement over the blades. The conclusion I've come to is that the extra help the CB's give with off center strikes means that the ball travel's further offline. So a shot that would fall short left with a blade is long left with a CB. The reason the 5,4 & 3 are slightly better, is because I don't have to try as hard to get them in the air. So I'm going to blend the set for a few months and see what happens. Now with these Hybrid iron's anyone would have to play them for a while to see what happens to their game. It's fine for them to be super easy to hit, but you still need to hit them in the right direction.
Mark, it's the tribe, what would people think, so we don't play to score, we play to impress our friends and fit in, how dumb. I'm using, Pinhawk, single length hybrid irons, 4 through pw, I'm not sure what my friends think but I don't really care. Am I a low handicapper, no but these clubs have given me my best time on the course. Keep doing what you're doing, many of us are listening.
Abolutely fascinated that you, as a pro, would game these. It does show again that our preconceptions about what type of club is suitable for what type of player may be wrong. Would love to see you do a game vlog and see how your shot shaping is with them too.
Totally agree with your review Mark. These are excellent clubs and would help players down to about HCP8 I would say. I bought the original version of just the 5-iron in 2006, and it remains the best club in my bag. Gives me 175yds so consistently, even from difficult lies. Yes it's nice puring blades on the range, but not many players can hit them consistently on course in my experience. I would only say that the wedges and 9/8-iron don't really help your typical 9-18 hcp player much. Instead, I would actually suggest to Cleveland that they think about selling individual clubs or just a mini-set of 6-4 irons as these are the ones that the average player struggles to be consistent with. Essentially a new category of club.
Mark makes an honest statement about how something will ACTUALLY help peoples' games instead of saying how we should all punish ourselves with bladed irons, and people immediately think he's sold out. LOL. Nobody will play these because ego is too big in the game of golf. People think they've "accomplished" something by making this game harder for themselves than it has to be.
What I don't understand is: people show up and play with 460cc drivers (technically the most forgiving driver size we can get), they play with mallet putters (for the added forgiveness), play with larger fairway woods like the M2 or the 917F2 (for more forgiveness over the smaller headed ones), yet when it comes to irons, they wouldn't be caught DEAD with something forgiving... golfers are a bunch of idiots sometimes, lol.
I want to shoot lower scores. I don't give a flying Chinese s@@@e (Jim Royle saying) what the clubs looks like. I'm really pleased Cleveland are back in the club market too.
Funny how people are concerned about a golf clubs looks. Those type of commenters probably play bladed irons designed for a pro level golfer and shank them into the woods or hit them 10ft in the air and 40yds short. How does that look? Lol. Tried these. SO easy to hit. Best ball flights I have ever had with these. High, Straight, Easy. Bought a set. Who cares what they look like. Results are what matter. I'd rather have a different looking club and hit a great shot than have a pretty club that I hit inconsistent embarrassing garbage shots with that destroy my score. Put them in the bag for a round Mark!!! Show the world that they work and can seriously help the average golfer!
Just bought a 4 iron with a stiff myazaki shaft and I have hit it a couple of times at the range. Must say its very easy to hit good shots with. I shall be ordering a 5 iron very soon.
I traded in my 716 ap1’s for these. I should have sooner, these clubs are so fun to use. I hate the design of tradition irons, way to hard to hit for me. Im playing way above my skill level with these, i love them! Thanks for the review
I have hit them all at one time or another. These Cleveland Hibore's are easily the best and most forgiving irons that I have ever played with. When I get the chance to play, my handicap is single digit.
The spin numbers!?!? I did not see that coming, Cleveland got it all figured out.. Please to a course vlog with theses clubs! Love to see how you play them out of the rough Great stuff mark keep up the good work!
Gotta say I have put a 5 hybrid, 4 hybrid and 3 hybrid in my bag this year and my score has went from 9 over to 5 over regularly. I don't like the look of them but I'd be tempted for a 6 to 9 iron but not the wedge. I carry 4 wedges and use them all successfully after all 110 yards inwards is never a problem
Hi Mark I am fairly new to golf about 5 years now. I did try these and i love them! I currently play Adams V4 hybrid 7 thru gap and 3,4,5, hybrid i was lacking a 6 iron so i just bought the 6 iron hb launcher. This club is amazing!! Looking to get a whole set now Thank you for all the great videos you put out!
Hi guys. I am a senior 13 H'Cap - Cairns Australia. Based mainly on Marks review I purchased these with senior shaft - I also purchased HB Launcher Driver and Hybrid. I tried out the CBX and the HB launcher irons - both are great but given my slower swing speed decided to go with new launcher HB technology. Played comp. last week without practice and had 39 pts. I am buying 2 additional CBX wedges for greater feel around the green. My home course is Paradise Palms Cairns - a championship course and very demanding. I have read all your comments so take it from someone who is actually using these clubs. These are a game changer - really great clubs and awesome value for money. Prediction - I will be down to do single figures within the next 3 months because these clubs enable me to play any shot. I will post again a comment early 2018 to let you know is how I got on.
just seen these at my golf club New Forest dorset, these clubs look & behave insane !!! ive got 20 year old texoma whatevers ,im upgrading very soon to these 16 handicapper
After three rounds with HB Launcher: Hard to miss the green on par 3 holes. Very straight. 4 hybrid a great option off the tee if you need control. Bumping a chip with 7 or 8 gets to the hole in a hurry with a true roll. SW chip grabs very nicely. Surprisingly good spin for this type of club. Knockdown shot out of the rough seems to roll forever. If I had to find a negative, it would be the ability to shape the ball. It can be done, but the ball really wants to go straight off these clubs. I might not have even tried these without such a glowing report from Mark and many other low handicap reviewers. Kudos to Cleveland, too.
I would love to see you test the Tour Edge Iron-Woods. The HL3 version were voted best SGI clubs by MyGolfSpy. Very similar clubs to these. I'm a 6 hcp., but iron play isn't the strong part of my game, but I'm deadly with Fairway woods and Hybrids, and very seriously considering some iron clubs in this category.
Great vid Mark, these are really interesting clubs. I was going to say what handicaps should consider these but then reflected on your comments and answered my own question. It doesn't matter.
I like to see video compare all the different in these irons from the beginning to now just to see if there is any difference in the clubs in over 10 years
Saw a set on ebay stupid cheap so risk free experiment, turned up with stiff S300 DG98 shafts, if you can ignore the looks they are superb, worth pointing out that they have way less offset than most super game improvement which really works for me, feel is great also. I've had to edit this to hopefully highlight what might encourage others to try them, for me I hate GI irons, not from what goes on with the top line or cavity showing out of the back but offset, using these has shown me that past the leading edge I don't care what they look like, just as long as the hosel isn't miles ahead of the leading edge to put into perspective 7i offset is 1.8mm compared to 6.4mm of the new Callaway Maverick max irons.
These clubs aren't just for high handicap golfers. I was a single digit handicap, but after two surgeries to basically reattached my thumbs, because of arthritis, standard irons stung my hands so much, I almost gave golf up. Because of turf interaction, I can not use my Apex irons any longer. The Cleveland launcher hb turbos I now use, have me enjoying golf again, and back down to a 12 handicap so far. Please let people know these can help if they have similar problems.
Mark, you already had something similar in your bag when you had the H4 and then H5s in your bag. I still have the H4s and think these are great, although these do get a little more traditional in the scoring irons. When my wife started playing I got her an Adams Tech V3 full set which are great but may get her new set of Cleveland Launcher HB irons.
I'm going to get either these or the Nova Hybrid One Length Irons, which have been around a long time. I wish you would test these. They have great customer service. You also get to play them for 30 days.
@@ryanroberts5449 Absolutely. Hitting iron shots can be the most frustrating thing for beginning golfers. Driver off the tee, and putting on the green are easier to hit because of the slow swing speed (putting) and the tee'd up ball (for driving). Not such relief on hitting iron shots. These clubs are incredibly forgiving, and get the ball in the air. They are no substitute for practice, but they will help.
Too many vane people about!.... a lot seem to go for a good looking set I the bag, doesn't seem to bother them that they can't hit them!,,,,,,I'm a great believer in "if it works use it!"....great review Mark, I look forward to seeing you playing a round with them...and for a laugh make lockey use them as well!
Hi there. I currently own the Altitudes and absolutely love them. The HB Launchers seem identical in appearance and lofts. Can Mark/anyone comment as to whether or not it's worth the pricey upgrade? Thanks. Mich
I had the 588 altitude and they were so easy to hit and get up in the air, what is the difference with these? Look exactly the same? Sometimes I wish I had never sold them. Worked great for me even if my mates always said how big are your clubs haha, guess who had the last laugh?
Just arrived this evening. Ran to the range to see what is,,. The size did not bother me at all and I thought it might with the 8, or 7 irons. The pingy noise with the wedge/9 irons rather caught me off-guard a bit. Mostly for the looks from other people around me. Yet shot after shot was long and consistent where my actual swing was very much not. You might be onto something here. Maybe in spite of your twenty plus years in the industry Mark, you may be right on this one.
Yep, two days ago. They are very straight but can be worked either way when needed. At the range they were very high but found them flying a more comfortable height on the course. The spin seemed to match what Mark and the computer said, lots of backspin and saw the ball five feet from the ballmark with 155 yard 7 irons. Mine were used and came with regular shafts, but I suspect my short quick swing tempo suits a bit stiffer. Will give them some more time to see. Thus far, they are just as called by Mr. Guru.
Just got a set too. Can't wait to try them this weekend! Did you notice a big difference of the fairway with the longer irons? Particularly on hits away from the sweet spot?
Having nice looking clubs is part of the enjoyment of golf to me. Driving a classic car is going to be slower, less relaible, less economical than a new car but I'd still do it because of looks and feels.
Golf has a ego problem even high handicaps want to play blades and X stiff shafts
Looking at getting a couple of these for my set (PW-7I) only question is if you can work the ball - I prefer to draw shots. Can you put a draw on these irons?
I have no self respect deffo getting these bad boys
I’m a 24 handicap. I just played these and scored a legit 89. I like them.
Hi Rich. I am same handicap as you. What's the main differences between these and regular iron??
Prravit Khanijo, Main difference is that the ball will launch very high, therefore as a higher handicap you can simply concentrate on putting the club face on the ball...it will launch! Another advantage to these clubs is that they have amazing stopping power with that launch and the spin rates. When you hit a 150 yard shot it won’t roll an extra 12-15 yards off a green or into a bunker, it will simply settle in within a couple steps of where it landed. Bottom line is that they have a great ball flight and you can begin to trust and therefore improve your swing.
@@mkastl9677 thankyou. Appreciate the insights.
Without a doubt the most forgiving irons I have ever purchased. (In part due to this review) Thanks Mark 👍
Wow that's a crazy improvement for 5 months
I purchased a set and love these clubs, And everyone i golf with loves the look of them.
Genuine player iron spin and distance with lots of forgiveness, what a fantastic re-imagining of a forgiving golf club.
Had I not bought the older HiBore XL irons a few years back I probably would have given up on golf... Those of you that said if it improved your handicap you still wouldn't use them... have lost your damn mind.
I bought them and dam they are so easy to hit.
Wow I was hitting dream shots confidently
Don’t even need the driver anymore these are so accurate
Demoed them to the other day and LOVED them. 190yd 7 iron. Landed like a butterfly.
I am picking mine set up this Friday can not wait.
yep. I play off 7 and I use the older altitude irons. golf is fun with these.
After a lot of testing in my local store, I just bought the 7HB in the regular graphite shaft (and had the loft increased from 30 to 31 degrees) to plug the “180 yard distance” gap in my bag that sits between my 5 hybrid, (one length cobra F8 which I LOVE- best club ever) that I hit 190-200 yards comfortably, and my 8 iron (160 yards.)
The Cleveland HB has become my perfect par 3 club.... any hole around the 165-185 mark I am bombing from the tee.
Cos of the height and spin, the ball stops dead on the green (or very close to it) so I can attack the pin from the tee with confidence. And the club allows me to shape the ball either way if I want to.... but really it’s just easier to aim it straight and go for it 😂
Either way, as a decent mid handicapper, this club has filled a space in my bag that previously was a bit of an issue.
Do not care what they look like, only care about results, which are great for me.
they are good
I've just got these clubs today, can't wait to try them out on the course
I have NEVER hit a hybrid in my life, always struggled with long irons, became pretty good with fairway woods, from 3 to strong 9, bought these in 4 thru PW, will NEVER go back to anything else. I'm 60 with a severe back injury and can hit these so easily. 11 handicap, legitimate last year, expect it to drop by at least 5 this year. thanks
Please play a couple of vlogs with these. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for my game ever got to the point I couldn't use my irons effectively. Play whatever works. for you.
I'm a high handicap 12 times a year player.... these are amazing clubs. Never purchased new before - these are worth every single penny!
When are you going to test the brand new Cleveland Launcher HB Turbo irons? Are they any better than the HB irons?
I hit the 7 iron Sunday and loved it. I play Ping G700, might trade. Ive had two back sugery and dont have a lot of back swing. Go try one.
I have the 1st gen of these hybrid irons and I will NEVER change irons - Ever! Best most forgiving, accurate, and long
Totally agree with your review Mark.
Goodspeed hahah food for thought
Travisty l
I just got the entire set including the driver and it’s rained everyday since they came in! Can’t wait to try them out!
I bought a 5 iron hb. It took some getting used to but it's my favourite iron now. I'm gonna replace the rest of my irons with hb piecemeal.
Tried these against many cavity backs and they are just great will be going for them.
Get Raymondo to game them, Mark. Would be very interested to get his take on them.
Thanks for the review. I really want to try these clubs. If they help me get better and kick ass, I dont really care how they look!! Thanks again.
I don't care what anyone says, I absolutely love these things. Golf is a hard enough game as it is, and if these can help my game out, I'll take 'em!
I played these clubs today on my home course front nine and reduced my average score 4 strokes😄
9 handicap and i love blades but i would game them in a heartbeat. Loved the old hb3 irons.
Just learning how to hit hybrids lately and getting great results. Could definitely play these. Thanks Mark
Mark,have set of cleaveland 5 7 9 pitch, 3wood, just love it
I have hit them all at one time or another. These Cleveland Hibore's are easily the best and most forgiving irons that I have ever played with. When I get the chance to play, my handicap is single digit.
The spin numbers!?!? I did not see that coming, Cleveland got it all figured out..
Please to a course vlog with theses clubs! Love to see how you play them out of the rough
Great stuff mark keep up the good work!
Grabbed a set for $250 on Facebook marketplace and I LOVE THEM!
Put em in the bag Mark. Human experiment take 2 ?????
+robert codd could be fun
robert codd Go on Mark. Wide em all up mate 😎
Think that's a "Got to be done" thing... just to maybe prove that they're as competitive as a normal CB iron.
I call CHICKEN!!! come on Mark, in the bag with them? #mightneedtwobags
Yes please!
Nice review and I love the humor--- I might even try these clubs myself-- Thank you Mark--
This has got to be my favorite review of yours ever. Gotta try those!
much like the old Adams A12OS or Tech V4's. Loved those irons.
First time I've ever heard you say they could improve you without a lesson first. Would love to try these!
More people definitely need to try these, I see too many people on the course that just can't hit an iron and these would lower scores substantially
Great vid Mark, these are really interesting clubs. I was going to say what handicaps should consider these but then reflected on your comments and answered my own question. It doesn't matter.
Loving the passion Mark ... think the looks will put most people off but as you say if it works then why not
Thanks Mark, best review EVER!!!
I don't know if I love them or hate them. But I will have to give them a go. What have I got to lose??
I share your sentiments Marko.
These clubs are insane. Have a few rounds under my belt with a new set and they are incredible.
I'm just starting out playing would you reccomend them for a border line beginner ?
@@ryanroberts5449 Absolutely. Hitting iron shots can be the most frustrating thing for beginning golfers. Driver off the tee, and putting on the green are easier to hit because of the slow swing speed (putting) and the tee'd up ball (for driving). Not such relief on hitting iron shots. These clubs are incredibly forgiving, and get the ball in the air. They are no substitute for practice, but they will help.
Would love to see you game these for a Vlog Mark 👍
How are the flex on these? Is stiff flex a bit more soft than usual? Regular more like senior?
Just got a set,hit the pin on a par 3,like the sound of that.
Im improving with my irons but if dont get better soon will give these a look as i think look easier to use
Thanks. Mich
Definitely love to see these in your bag Marc, it will also blow coach's mind...so funny. Keep up the good work.
Was wondering if you have tried the vice golf balls? Would love to heard your thoughts
Great review !!! Please test the Tour Edge HL4 ironwoods against the Clevelands
I'm going to find a way I can go test these. Wish i could get them on the course for a test
I had the 588 altitude and they were so easy to hit and get up in the air, what is the difference with these? Look exactly the same?
Sometimes I wish I had never sold them.
Worked great for me even if my mates always said how big are your clubs haha, guess who had the last laugh?
Just now ordered a set of these. My future game rests on your recommendation Mark old boy!! We'll soon see if you know of what you speak.
Have you used them on the course yet? If so, how were they ?
Don Harrold I may have no idea where the sweetspot is, yet these are super consistent for distance. Crazy spin off longer irons too.
Didn't Cleveland do this 5 years ago with the 588 altitude irons?
I ll try any clubs that make the game easier, great review Mark
Having nice looking clubs is part of the enjoyment of golf to me.
Driving a classic car is going to be slower, less relaible, less economical than a new car but I'd still do it because of looks and feels.
