Olivia you guys did a nice job. For the cabinet you can add peel and stick as well even the counter top if you wanted too and just change out fixture for now. But nice job on the updates so far because they do add up

A good way to revamp the top of your vanity is to use contact or shelving paper. I used a marble print paper (found at Walmart) to cover the top of my husband’s home office desk and it looks really nice. Make sure to use a squeegee to smooth out the paper as you apply it.

The bathroom is turning out great! I would suggest using beyond paint for your vanity and maybe contact paper for the top - it will make a huge impact without hurting the pocketbook! Love your channel and can’t wait to see the next one!!
You can consider the peal and stick bathroom floor tiles from Amazon. They are very affordable.

I am so glad to see your realistic video, having paint on your leggings and arm, just like when I decorate. so many videos have people in best cloths, no dust sheets down and painting, I always think 'seriously, what if you drip pain on your new carpet/cloths?' it feels so false. Your video is great, not only fabulous results, but you are real life.. thank you for that :-)
All you need to do it scuff sand, prime then paint. You can scuff sand by hand and it doesn’t make a lot of dust

Nice you guys could update the bathroom on a budget till you can do what you really want at a later time. 🌼 Spray paint is truly a great thing and isn’t that expensive to make something new again. 🌼 It would be nice if wood trim would already be able to painted white when buying it. 🌼 I am glad you shared about your bathroom hand towel just because I have been searching for better hand towels and regular towels. 🌼 The bathroom turned out great! 🌼 Congrats girl on almost 23K subscribers! The bathroom already looks a million times better. I think its wise of you not to just do everything perfect for the sake of you tube. Take your time and you do you. The trim and everything can be added when the time is right.🌺🌺
Sometimes if you could stop at a Habitat for Humanity store they have new album and used homes building items to complete your projects. I worked at a storm door company and sometimes they donated refurbished doors. Or maybe in your area there is something named different with items for you guys.
Laminate counter tops are very affordable and that size sink wouldn’t be expensive to replace.
I just want to thank you for your videos....they are a great motivator. We moved into our fixer upper last October. It's fun and a lot of work.
They make countertop paint that looks like marble. Then paint the vanity & new faucet. Otherwise it looks great!! Much better.

Yes! I just recently did my vanity countertop with a kit called Giani marble countertop kit. It turned out amazing. Super easy to use and it came with everything needed.
Use contact paper on the countertop like you did in the kitchen looks like a new counter

You did a good job. Personally I would add baseboards as they can be reused when you do more retrofitting. They will help make the room look more finished.
Hey! Loved this video! You could easily paint your vanity with some chalk paint or even the “Beyond” paint. There are so many color options. With those you don’t have to sand, prime, and seal. That way the project is cheap and easy and then you could even add hardware to make it look more “fancy”. Also the countertop could be painted but that can be tricky. I also recommended contact paper like you used in your kitchen previously! That way the countertop isn’t permanently painted. Hope this helps!!

Olivia I used a product called Beyond Paint.No sanding required just wash down with a good degreaser.It has held up really well.Your bathroom looks great.
You could change out the faucet.. They are decently prized on Amazon

Living life as Megan just did a kitchen refresh using a primer,paint & sealer (one step that she seems happy with) and Kelsey Romito DIY also did an diy update to a vanity on a budget that might give you some ideas.
I'd say change out the faucet, maybe paint the counter top? Everything looks great!

just fyi regarding new siding - this may not be for everyone's situation but to let you know there is such a thing possible. We were able to do new $19,000 siding on our 30 year old home (2 story 4 bd with garage and front porch) and only pay out of pocket our insurance deductible $1,000 and separately a new $10,000 roof for our $1,000 deductible the previous year. We did them separately only because I did not think about the siding until the following year after doing the new roof. We had enough wind damage on the roof and enough hail damage on the siding.
We live in a rather large development and a few years ago many homeowners were getting new siding and/or roofs. Briefly, there were siding and roofing company signs on the lawns so I called a few and found out that if a roof or siding has hail or wind damage you can submit a claim to your home insurance carrier to cover the new siding and roof. The companies work directly with your insurance company from inspection to see the damage through the completion. I have full replacement coverage in my home insurance and don't live in a state with a lot of hail damage. It was a quick and easy process just be sure of your insurance coverage and check the reviews and reputation of the protentional companies you are considering, etc.
We did new windows the week before the siding and used a 0% interest for 18 months on a credit card offer and paid heavily for the 18 months to pay off that balance ($11,000.) Some companies offer specials on financing so check your budgets etc.

Great job Olivia. How does Marshall know how to do all the updates? I know nothing about home improvement but I watch This Crazy Life and they just did a remodel on a budget of a bathroom. They painted the sink cabinet. The product doesn't require sanding or primer. You can check it out for the correct name. She always links the products they use.
It doesn’t take long once you start painting to remember how much it stinks!!
Just try decor for now or maybe finding new faucet if you have one in mind. But two in case you add a double vanity. You can always return one.
