Oh my gosh…. I have been wanting to try lime wash. We need a good tutorial on lime wash hacks - it intimidates me. Love the design, looking forward to shopping using the links. The sea horse handles, octopus tp roll holder, and lobster towel holder are a must. I had a pink chandelier with rhinestones for years, never thought to place it in the powder room! The gold chains holding the ‘treasure’ found under the sea is genius. Chef’s kiss to the gallery wall. I love the color palette and the entire design. The flooring is so creative. Thank you, Katy! You da best🥰
No pressure, of course. All just fun inspiration. This was so fun and wild to do. Really making me reconsider my own bathroom now! I think I need to bring that teal into my life.

Baguette’s still here, don’t worry! I’m actually amazed pearl lived as long as she did, considering the fact that she was living on a lower shelf, and Baguette liked to weave her body between objects as she walked on said shelf.

I would never have considered myself attracted to mermaid decor but this bathroom I suddenly need. Those lights were *chefs kiss* and the faux sconce hand mirrors were brilliant!
Definitely tried to mix it up. I’m a dream world, there would be a tub in an arched alcove so you could really bathe under the sea. 🙌🧜♀️

I gotta say these realistic makeovers are a breath of fresh air. I use to love watching xo macena and lone fox. Now all they do is flaunt their luxurious decor and homes, with expensive brands deals. They kinda lost touch honestly. Not everyone has a shit ton of cash for an extreme kitchen reno. I hardly watch anything they do now. Their stuff looks like something out of a magazine.. so unrealistic. I hope you remember us when you're rich and famous. 😢

Thanks for the great ideas! I have a beautiful mural (5' X 7') of a mermaid in my bathroom and have been trying to find another color to paint the walls other than the dark kelly green which i don't like. The mural has a lot of Kelly green in it however so I'm kind of stumped. But the other things mentioned would be grand!

I really love how much thoughts are in your design. The colours are beautiful and the mermaid theme without any mermaid is like a little game inside the room. I really love this idea.
I only have one problem with this kind of design in bathrooms and powder rooms: it makes cleaning so much harder. And because I personally hate cleaning, my bathroom is the most minimal room in our home. Bathrooms need to be clean to feel comfortable.

How can I hire you to design a bedroom for me?! I’ll pay for your help in designing my rented apartment bedroom on a microscopic budget! I’ve got a very unique style…NOBODY who’s tried to help me has been able to nail my aesthetic along w all the needed requirements for the space. I’m a (kinda) new 1st time mom. My daughter turns 1 in a few weeks! 🎂🥳 I’m dying to finish styling the room n organizing all my crap as well! I need it to feel like our home for the 1st time. It’s a small, cramped space w zero storage & 3 cats! If I could describe my design aesthetic, I’d describe it as a mix of gothic meets glam w a touch of natural looking boho. I love the dark moody sexy vibe w some real animal skulls/bones/wet specimens to decorate with! Lol I’ve got a few already! But I’m also into that mirrored furniture look from the glam style! I looove crystal chandeliers & bedazzles/crystals! Think of if Barbie was a moody vampire goth living in an old castle 😂 i need space for my daughters crib/queen size bed/flat screen tv/2 small mirrored side tables. We can’t use our closet in the room so that makes the space EXTREMELY DIFFICULT & FRUSTRATING!!! We’ve got bags n bags of our stuff just sitting out in the open cuz there’s no place to store it!! We can’t use the freakin closet (who tf rents a room out but won’t let them access it for their own storage?!) please Katie if you think you’re up for a huge challenge & want to push n further your skills by tackling an insanely difficult tiny space, I’ll hire you ASAP!! 🙏🙃
