Congratulations to Arthur and Big Red !! The snowstorms are a bummer and I am hoping for more spring - like weather. I don’t recall these birds having snow on their nest before but they may have dealt with it. This pair is very skilled at their nest. Must stay positive and keep the faith !!!
I did some research and found out that Big Red has laid her spring eggs every year at the same time of the year to the week! Good job for being so consistent and reliable! Not that she knows that she has a lot of people watching her and depending on her and Arthur to make sure those eggs hatch 😅
This is wonderful news! We have Red-tailed Hawks here in southern California, but it's much warmer, of course. Your Hawk couple seem to be as well adapted to the winter weather as the Bald Eagles at Big Bear Lake, CA. Their names are Jackie and Shadow, and they have a live cam here on TH-cam if you'd like to watch them, as well. Good luck to Big Red and Arthur and their soon to be hatchlings! ❤️❤️❤️
What an amazing dad, that Arthur! Covered in snow, committed to keeping those eggs warm...AND he have us such a great view of the 3 eggs. Thanks Arthur and BR!
I think this happens to all birds more than one would think and most times everything turns out fine. Their feathers keep them remarkably resilient to the snow and cold.
Aww, poor hawks, such faithful parents through this snowy scene! Hope it warms up and turns sunny soon. Yay for three!🧡🤎🤍
Bless her heart ❤️
Big Red you are one amazing RTHA!!!
thanks for the peek, Arthur!!
I need to read up on Red Tailed Hawks and egg laying in cold, snowy weather conditions…
Sending good vibes to Big Red and these eggs 🪺 🥚 🥚 🥚
Faithful Big Red! I've missed so much but I am back now!
Fabulous! Arthur and Big Red are going to be very busy!
Wow all done with a snowy outlook. Well done Red
Patience and perseverance. Birds are amazing.
I just watched her try to roll the eggs and was unsuccessful. I hope they are warm enough. Lovely to see that there are three again this year.
Congratulations! It’s so very exciting. Cant wait for the babies!

Love you, Big Red! Amazing Mama RTH. ❤
The most wonderful time of the year:>)
She endured very cold weather last year, too! ❤
Oh my! I had no idea that they nested so early!❤
Awesome!❤
I can't wait to hopefully see all three chicksgrowing up! 😊
Yay 3!!
Sooooo many birds/nests I watch that laid eggs on the early side & then dealing with failed eggs &/or bad/cold weather. My heart breaks.

Love watching and so sad about their eggs not being viable. They pay so much attention to the eggs and Jackie endured some incredible snowy weather!
💜💜
Chipmunks need to FLEE south!!
🦜Shades of Jackie from BBV.
Helo quá tuyệt vời ❤❤❤❤ ❤
Nasty weather for you to keep your eggs war 😮
Does anyone know what the core body temp is of the hawks?
