I have been practicing yin for years but just discovered your channel. What a treasure! Your teaching style is intelligently calm ... so effective ... I especially appreciate that you allow for silence, lots of silence. Thank you so much!
Hello again, Christine! I deeply appreciate your very kind and thoughtful comments. It's truly an honor to be included in your yin journey ❤️ I hope you have a lovely day!
Lovely to hear a bit about you Brittany. I do not teach yoga any more but I do some meditation short practises through my part time work as a mental heath worker. I have had many teachers but my most memorable one was my first one. I started when I was 8 , in France. It makes me sad at times that yoga has evolved over the years and very often it's not for the better I am afraid. I do not like that the true essence of yoga has often disappeared. I went to a so called Power Yoga Class last year and to me it was just a work out. If I wanted this I would go to a gym! Having said all that I would like to add that the reason I like your style so much is that you embody what yoga is all about. That's a gift. I look forward to being on the mat with you tomorrow. Thank you for today's class. Kind regards. Marie Jose
You started your journey with yoga at 8 years old....that is truly amazing. Did your parents practice? I was 18 when I stumbled across yoga and I remember thinking, "wow, these tools of mindfulness, acceptance and self-love would have been useful when I was figuring things out from 10-17." I agree with your comment about how mainstream yoga has often become about the "workout." I think that's why I love Yin yoga so much :) Thank you for your incredible kind comments...it really means a lot coming from you!
Hello Catharine ❤️ I'm so happy to hear you found this practice transformative! I appreciate you taking the time to share your kind comments. I hope you have a wonderful weekend xoxo
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Luke ❤️ I'm happy to hear you took some time for self-care and to cultivate some yin energy. May you be well my friend. Namaste xoxo
Recently I found Yin Yoga. Most of my days I spend at work standing on my feet. My legs are very tight and I feel lots of tension on my body. I've been practising Vinyasa yoga but instead of feeling relax and I found it more stressful and even more tension. I started looking for something that I can relax and stay still. There is a lot of yoga teachers on TH-cam, but I love your voice and your calmness and your energy. I am definitely more relax and sleep better. I love that your videos are more than an hour long. I am practising yoga with you every day. You are an amazing yoga teacher. Namaste ;)
Hello Angelika Angie, I'm so happy to hear that Yin yoga has helped you release tension, de-stress and sleep better. I truly appreciate your kind and warm comments. It's such an honor to have you welcome me into your home and yoga practice ❤️❤️❤️ Sending you lots of love and big yin hugs, Brittany xo
Hello Brittany. Like uselly it was Soooo good . I like the time before started I like the silence and the long time pose (even if sometimes it’s a little challenge for me but I do at my level ) . I always “keep you” for the weekend when I have more time than on a week and I would you to do every week end yoga with me ( or me with you 😂😂) but sometimes you are a little bit rare on youTube 😩. So thanks you again and see you next week I hope 🙏🙏
Hello Daniele! It is always so nice to hear from you. I hope you are well🥰 It's such an honor for you to include me in your yoga journey. Hopefully I will have a new yin practice out by the end of the weekend. Take care my friend. Namaste 🙏❤️
Yoga can so powerful and release emotions on an intense way. I need always weep during yoga die the release of the emotions is pretty intense. Did you need to weep during or after s yoga session ?
Hi Sandra, I completely agree that yoga can bring on a wave of emotions either during or after your practice. I have, on many occasions, cried during/after yoga. I truly believe we hold "issues in our tissues" ...so when we hang out in these yin poses for long periods of time the tissues unravel and we can experience a release of emotions. Namaste 🙏❤️
