I do not blame anyone who decided not to attend this year's convention or decided to bail during friday or saturday. A lot of anime conventions have a long way to go to recovery.
While I'm limited in my attendance the one prevailing issue I do constantly see arising is a similar base train of thought held by the people who are organizing it.
I would like to see what happens when the Anime Conventions bans Crunchyroll after receiving word that Crunchyroll is strongly anti-otaku and are only interested in inserting Far-Left politics
I liked it when they where at the Meadowlands Exposition Center. It was easy to get to from New York. Just about a 15 to 20 minute ride from the P.A. Bus terminal on the 320 Bus. The Garden State Expo Center was also good. I didn't go to Atlantic City that was a little bit to far for me to travel back and forth to.
So they alleged a visitor was harassing someone, found out it was a false accusation, ruined his reputation in the process, and all they essentially did was give him a refund?
One big reason Anime matsuri is so huge is because the GRB center is in the middle of a huge verity of restraints, bars, hotels, and event centers that include but are not limited to "the Warehouse" the price to rent the center may be huge but considering turnout quickly covers that on day one plus the perks of keeping a good appearance of supporting a positive community make sure that it will continue to be a large convention long into the future. It is just common since, the GRB center is huge for a reason its attractive as a high quality venue for a reason and the propel who run AM have no shame.
We are talking about animenext not anime matsuri.

For the many years I've been going to conventions in general, for everyone that says that when a convention sucks, 20 other people say the opposite.
As a person who actually WENT to the con AND HAD A FIRST-HAND INTERACTION (unfortunately) with the ACTUAL creep on Saturday morning. The story you are trying to tell is so spotty, and is disrespectful to report especially when you DIDN'T ASK Patrick to make a video on this. AnimeNext was a mess, yes, but at the same time it is unfair to Patrick, the AnimeNext Staff, and other attendees to be making reports like this when you do not have the full story. The only people who really know are those directly involved, and it's best to leave heavy news reports like this alone until the actual con staff make a statement.
This is a news briefing about the convention in general as a mess and not solely focused on starchild neko. I will not remove this video. Doing so is as if the bad stuff that occured about the convention never happened. I will however NOT make a separate video about his situation in light his request.
This youtube channel is primarily a news channel and I don't wait for anyone's permission to cover stories unless we find information that he or she does not want to be covered.

What you could’ve done was to keep it anonymous & say that the wrong person was kicked out, & that it was wrong, that’s it. We’re not saying that you can’t talk about the con. Yes, you can talk about the con. There’s no need to go extra. What you’re doing is hurting the person affected by this. He’s going through a lot & I know you read his posts. Don’t make a fool of yourself.

If it makes you all feel better , the con has officially been canceled. They got in trouble with the IRS and owe A LOT of fees because of the old location from Atlantic City. They also didn't call themselves a nonprofit organization and later got called out for a profit location. The con hasn't released a new date for the con because they don't want to publicly announce that the con will be canceled for good.

For some reason this comment is not there and I can only reply to you in another way. But thanks for this. It was very clear that their cancelation over their instance on imposing restrictions to ward off coronachan would be a big mistake of the con for the long run and will leave a gap in the new jersey anime convention scene.
