Great video as Luther demonstrates, the key is the earlier and better the shoulder rotation the more you can relax your wrists. The bad news is that this requires some effort as regards physical strengthening and conditioning which golfers are more reluctant to do the older they get! The good news is that at 60yo having done this and following a lot of Luthers great advice Im hitting it the farthest ever!
Hi - a long left thumb encourages the shaft to stay lower through impact which is compatible with a fade spin type of shot. Thanks for your question and for subscribing 👍
This lesson answered why overdoing the wrist angle at the top causes so many inconsistent results. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Good lesson and good story. Thanks Luther
Glad you enjoyed it

Love the story behind the correct placement of the lead thumb.
Lovely teaching. Lovely story
Thanks for watching
Do not manipulate the wrists; but rather unlock the wrists as the lead shoulder is turning to the throat. Got it! ❤️😃⛳️👍
brilliant

Left thumb parallel to the shaft? Does that mean on the side of the shaft?
Hi Dry - yes, the left thumb should be parallel to the shaft and to the right of centre for the right hander.
