For the first time since The Stealer they're going to be doing a Studio Choom performance for Roar. They started working with Hello82 which is the company that helped Ateez chart on the US charts (billboard). Hopefully this time we'll get a dance practice which seems like it should be a given but there wasn't one for Whisper. And it seems like Kevin's shady PMs worked because for the first time SINCE 2018 he has solo schedueles. They talked about how they think Roar is their best comeback to date and they're really excited and they poured their whole heart and soul into the album. The entire album charted on Flo for the first time in their career as well which is really exciting.

Their first day sales and views are not as good as other comebacks but we'll see how it compares to the week 1 stats as albums weren't available in store first day. MV view count for first day isn't as high but first day likes are higher than Whisper, (not sure what it was for other CBs) that's better to me as that means more people rather than just repeat watchers. As for digital charts overall it depends on the chart because for example on Flo the current peak is #42 and it's been very stable not dropping below what it debuted at and all the B Sides are charting as well. For other comebacks the highest peak was #71 with Maverick. However with Genie it's very unstable and has peaked at #25, dropped to #141 and is back up to #41. Thrill Ride had the highest peak at #17. Bugs current peak is #3, hopefully that will change...they've gotten #1 on that chart a few times.
i think Sunwoo's outburst on PM last year after AAA really riled everyone up and ist FINALLY strted acting... it took them a whole year but this cb already feels like a proper comeback which im really glad. This comeback is honestly so strong, OT11 indeed is powerful, I love the song, the sets, the Mv everything is such a step up, they should get the recognition they deserve in this comeback.

When you do listen to the album, the first song on the album "Awake" Kevin and Jacob talked about recently on their ASC episode together. Kevin mentioned that he took part in writing the lyrics for "Awake" and some other tracks and how he tried to really go along with the storyline of the album in connection to their previous album "Be Aware" and Jacob took part in writing the English section of Sunwoo's raps in that song as well. I'm personally really proud of how far the Boyz have come in the last few years of their careers. I'm also really happy to see Eric again because we all were so worried about him but since the break, he has come back better than ever so I am proud of him for putting himself first. The other songs on this mini album are beautiful and have so many different kinds of production which I think you will appreciate when you listen to it.

The idea with Whisper was angels who broke the rules by falling in love with a human (something like they heard TheBs whispers and tried to follow them out of heaven). Then this is them falling from heaven and being set free from "paradise" but them claiming their freedom and being like who decides what's evil anyway? I LOVED the little thing with the cattle tags they had on the shoes at the start, and later on their ears. It showed some of them pulling the tags off, like them pulling off the tags is them throwing away the symbol of being tamed/domesticated/owned, and shows them declaring their freedom. The song itself is amazing, and that whistle carrying throughout is so fucking good. I feel like it has serious Reveal energy (not musically, purely vibes), and I'd seen someone else mention they felt like it has Exo - Love Shot energy, which yes 100% agree (again not musically, but the VIBES). Visually it's sensual, but without being ott sexual, like it's animalistic, which is perfect for the concept as well. And the choreo is ridiculous. I can't wait to see the Studio Choom and hopefully a dance practice. ANOTHER BOP. 2023 is TBZ year! 🤞🤞👏👏
