James' band story is like a Norm Macdonald gag - the delivery, the improbability of the story, the pauses. He does it really well!
His book (james acasters classic scrapes) reminded me of a combination of norm macdonalds book and karl pilkingtons diary.

I loved his Netflix special "Repertoire" and hope he makes more. He's one of the funniest comedians I've ever seen, and he doesn't discuss politics, racism, sex crimes, or swear constantly like most other comedians out there. My kids and I can both watch him and enjoy ourselves. I think he is brilliant
