Hey Busman, Great to see another video I hope you are well. I unfortunately missed out on the July intake so my Training starts on the 24th of August. I am so keen excited but unhappy I missed out on the July intake. After I finish work, or during my break I love to hope on the 86 Free South Brisbane Loop it's enjoyable :)
Ahhhh, least you're in for August! It's gonna be a blast, the training is not boring :) Toowong seem to really like doing the 86 loops, never been on one myself.
I used to take the 393 when i had to bus to/from the Hungry Jacks at Herston. Nice and handy, sucks that it only runs during the week, and stops at like 6pm. It would be super handy for the hospital workers who work at the RBH
Hey Busman, I’m looking to apply and hopefully join at Eagle Farm. Just wanted to check what’s the average weekly wage at the moment and how much overtime and weekend work is available at Eagle Farm? Thanks and love the videos.
My guess is it's a B8 with a bus number in the 28xx range. Guessing from the sound, I think it's a 6 speed gear box and lower revving than a B7 (I don't think Eagle Farm has any 6 speed B7 buses anyway , but Virginia does)
Usually 4 minutes. Loop starts at the 28 past and 58 past every hour. You normally do 3 or 4 in a row then do a give over. If it’s quiet your might be quite early so extra break time. It’s a pretty easy run if you get it
MAN Diesel buses are great, quality suspension and many of them have some get up and go. There are some lemons in the bunch though, much like the B7's in that regard. 470 inbound around peak hour with the Duke street deviation, that sends a shiver down the spine! Having to do 14 x 60 gliders is also craze inducing.
@@busman108 i dont know how the bus drivers fit in those narrow streets along the fortitude valley doing the 60 ! im surprised was expecting the 66 on university peak to be the worst. specially on a three axle.
The shift schedule number on the paper printout starts with a 1, so probably Eagle Farm. Sometimes drivers from other depots will fill in when there are shortages though.
Memory and studying the route beforehand is how to get around. The only GPS help brisbane bus operaters get is the name of the next stop on the screen.
Top video as always Busman. Love your work
Good drive Bus man! As a driving instructor, your push and pull technique on the steering wheel is on point!

Rather enjoyed that little trip. It's like going a magical mystery tour, but much more enjoyable. Thanks Busman, another great video.

All future videos are on hold as per employer request, there maybe something official in the works. But that takes time.

are you based at one depot or u guys universal when for depot runs or area changes
We have the same B7R’s in Perth, and some people mistake the handbrake for a horn, it’s kinda funny
Nice to see an active bus driver on yt. Also quick question what's your favourite type of bus to drive volos, BZLs yutongs?
Volvo B8's, Volvo electric and Man Diesel bus.

Is this an E-bus?
If you ever get to do the 807 or 808 it would be a good one to film with all of the students.
School runs are chaotic sometimes
767 PM service has a reputation of being very chaotic.
Can you show us how the icu 402 works
These don't have 402s, instead they've got Thoreb C90s.
Loads of turns on this route, must be tricky to learn and remember.
They usaly have the bus number then the way there turning

bus man what are your thoughts driving the MAN desiels ? also what is the worst route for bus drivers in bcc ?
