Good Work Rex! What an impressively intelligent Scientist. Fantastic that you are able to shine a light on this incredible scientific talent that probably won’t get a mention in MSM. In a field of science that has very little certainty, I am absolutely certain that Dr Judith Curry has the highest ethical and moral standards, and speaks plainly and honestly. Well done! Dr Curry you are a Hero of Science. One day, there will again be more like you, although, today, you walk alone...
There's nothing complicated about the fact that humans produce 27,000,000 tons of CO2, CH4, N20, and Fluorinated gases DAILY, or the fact that the US is designed around cars, oil, and the military. Our model for and history of economic "development" was not a result of careful thought, but profit.
Dr. Judith Curry is a jewel of calm, practical analysis! Fabulous to see & hear her on TH-cam. True scientists are aware of uncertainty as well as the dynamic nature of nature. Delighted she pulled away from the corruption in her field.
Energy that is "secure reliable and inexpensive..." should be a priority. It is refreshing to hear this from someone who has some credibility on the subject. Thanks for bringing this eminent scientist to our attention.
Rex, thank you for inviting an honest scientist. Cannot be easy to find one these days. I think the most important observation Ms. Curry made was that the evolution away from fossil fuels was natural and well underway in developed economies. Canada itself is way ahead of the world in this field. The pipeline policy of the feds and the imposition of additional carbon taxes on our economy is not only unnecessary but in fact it should be considered a willful economic sabotage.
so what you are saying is that you didn't listen to a word she said. Climate change is a hoax!!! is that clear enough and our incompetent PM in Canada is willfully destroying our economies, because he is a village idiot.
The world is a crazy place. Call me old fashioned, but it's too bad we could not have a country lead by Rex Murphey with his recent guests as cabinet, and populated by his audience.
12:30 I'm so glad to hear someone say that if you have nuclear then wind and solar add nothing. I've thought this for a long time but this is the first time I've heard it stated by someone in the field.
"The climate change debate also needs a transition from ideology and wishful thinking to facts, figures and rationality." One of the greatest lines ever spoken in the climate change shipwreck.
Thank you. I have a daughter who has entered into the field of Natural Resources and Environmental Technologies. All i ask of this extremely bright young woman is to be discerning, to be open-minded to various research and opinions. DONT BE A FOLLOWER of one mainstream narrative and accept it as gospel. Be inquisitive because that is how progress is made. Sadly, she rolls her eyes at me. I will be sending her a link to this and othe interviews with Dr. Curry.
Unfortunately if she doesn’t “learn” what is being “taught” to her, if she doesn’t follow the revealed wisdom instead trying to see other possibilities and not accepting the so-called settled science, she’s wasting her student fees since she won’t be accepted by the mainstream and won’t find employment in her field.

What can we do to solve the climate crisis? Allen Savory says that by allowing livestock to graze grass in a controlled manner (planned grazing) CO2 from the air through photosynthesis of the plants will be stored in the soil. A microbiologist Walter Jehne who says that by always having the soil covered with green growth, the evaporation of water will lower the temperature considerably. He claims that about 95% of the temperature is controlled by water evaporation and about 4% is controlled by CO2. So it becomes very important to keep the soil covered with green growths all the time. What we also need to be aware of is the large temperature difference between uncovered bare soil, which receives a strong heating and heat radiation, and soil that is covered with green growth. What we should do is always have the earth covered with green plants and trees so that we can capture the maximum amount of CO2 and at the same time facilitate water evaporation from the plants so that the temperature is lowered. There is a direct link to climate catastrophes and over population but no one will raise this issue with logical responsible measures, like a birth ban for 10 years. At what point do we as a race of responsible beings take heed of what we can control? A simple measure of a birth ban.
The rate of hydrocarbons released in the atmosphere by Homo sapiens are unbeknownst to total greenhouse gas concentrations experienced in the Holocene period (arguably the most stable period in Earth’s history). This coincides with increased temperature fluctuations directly linked to anthropogenic activity. The amount of pressure Homo sapiens have imposed on the natural world and its topography directly relate to increased albedo effects and the destruction of carbon sinks. Let’s look at our impact on climate change via extraction of fossil fuels: Fossil fuels formulated millions of years ago when organisms passed away in basaltic, anoxic environments and therefore did not decay. These organisms eventually piled up and in a sense ossified due to extreme oceanic pressure and heat. Movement of tectonic plates shifted overtime which is why we see fossil fuels on land and beneath the ocean-floor today. Fossil fuels are drilled and obtained as crude oil. Crude oil is then heated and distilled to factor out different hydrocarbons (to make grades of liquids we know as petrol, kerosene, diesel etc). Heating and burning of these hydrocarbons release gasses, much like when you boil water it evaporates and releases vapour, these gases rise up into the atmosphere due to their low density. We know heat is radiated to the surface of the Earth as UV IR rays and reflected back out to the atmosphere. Now some of these reflected rays are stopped/ absorbed by such gasses and radiated again. These gasses are known greenhouse gasses. Of course the energy absorbed by greenhouse gasses will radiate in all directions but some will be directed back to Earth’s surface. This leads to increased warming. Therefore as the concentration of greenhouse gasses increases in the atmosphere so will its effect in periodic warming. The problem is we are effectively increasing the rate at which we extract carbon while simultaneously decimating the very things that hold and store carbon. We’ve shifted the equilibrium of carbon distribution so quickly that Earth’s integral life supporting systems have altered, making it difficult for certain organisms to adapt over future generations. This will lead to a drastic loss of life but not all life on Planet Earth if projected rates continue. www.nature.com/articles/s41467-021-25019-2 earthobservatory.nasa.gov/images/150111/lake-mead-keeps-dropping www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpls.2018.00273/full

CO² is my friend. It makes me grow better.
Why do we keep questioning why climate and energy policy is being driven by models rather than real data and observation when we all know its money.

Questions. Every living thing must have Carbon to live & grow. How w ill net zero affect all these.
All earth life is carbon based
Has an environmentalist for climate change ever said what the proper levels of CO2 are? Or, do they want to remove it all together?
