I’m a straight white male living with 6 roommates who are all either gay, bi, POC, non-binary, and I’ve observed first-hand what he talks about here. I went to a bar with them after the Pride parade and one of them said to me “no worries, you can just be gender fluid for the night,” as if being a cis man just wasn’t okay. I cheekily told her “how about I just be who I am instead,” and didn’t get the impression it was appreciated.
The “non-binary” roommate (who has never presented herself as anything other than what I’ve always thought was a woman) does a lot of dating, and she has never once dated a white guy since I’ve known her, despite us living in a predominantly white city. Given the way that her and her friends talk about white people (especially white men) I’m not surprised.
I manage not to let their attitudes demoralize me, but sometimes just barely. Holding my head high and being okay with who I am doesn’t seem like it should take so much effort.

I don’t understand how people don’t see that judging an entire group, especially for a hereditary trait, is text book racism. But even if they don’t see that, how do they not see that taking this adversarial view guarantees a bigger fight? There will be kids today who grow up seeing this and will react against it in equal and opposite degree. It’s such a bad strategy. There is no solution to this by creating greater division.

How to start this... I am 43 and gay. I am stating this right away because I think in this context it can help to prevent to get some prejudice being an LGBT+ hater or whatever. Nowadays you cannot be critical anymore, especially if you are a "god forbid" straight white male. I think the main problem is that this generation is so extremely focused on getting attention and wanting to stand out and is not willing to see that a behavior like that doesn't make them in any way different from being exactly what they claim to be that everybody else is if they don't share the same opinion. This whole forced diversity topic is really getting out of hand, no matter if it is about gender, sexuality, feminism, religion, or skin color. There are just a lot of unhappy people that trying to find for everything that doesn't work out for them to blame everything and everybody else and trying to find a way to attack just to make themselves feel better and not have to reflect on themselves because in their mind there are already perfect anyway. "How can some company not hire me, sure because I am gay or a person of color or whatever" please don't get me wrong I don't want to say that there can't be instances where this might not still be the case and its good to know then where you can get support but most of the times this is just used as a shield for any reasonable discussion, critique, flaw or qualification. This will in the end lead to some real cleavage between people. It should be the human, the person you are that makes you interesting not your sexuality, your religion, or the color of your skin. You should be much more than this and not something so unimportant that sets u appart. It would be much better to try and use all this energy to be a good, empathic, caring and selfreflected human and really do something to change the world and even if its just a small part, but you can at least with the people you interact with.

Hereditary racism is absolutely ludicrous, you shouldn’t be held accountable for what your ancestors did. With that being said, there hasn’t been much atonement from white people. Turtle island is still colonized and indigenous peoples still feel the effects from the oppression their ancestors endured; so too do black people. This British dude should go to the British Museum and make a tally of British artifacts vs straight up stolen artifacts from other countries. Here's the truth people don't want to acknowledge. There is racism, yes. But go to the poorest of poorest white communities along Appalachia. Or go to "the hood" where whites do exist. They are forgotten by society just like their black neighbors. Most people in today's US do not actually think black people are a subspecies or inferior to whites (the actual definition of racism btw). The US is undergoing a class struggle and poor whites are targeted right there alongside poor blacks. It has become more of a socioeconomic battle rather than an actual racist battle. There are obviously real racists out there, but it is a tiny sliver of the white population. Rather, the population that is running the show are the upper-middle and rich (typically white of course) who are telling the poors to fight each other. When we all know damn well that poor whites and poor blacks are stuck in the same shit hole and are fighting for their lives just the same.
The rich would have you think racism is the problem, but economic equality actually is. Probably the most successful experiment of "hide the bacon" ever done. Get poors to fight over race and they won't have time to fight for economic equality.
Racism exists, but not to the severity that we are constantly told. It's poor vs rich more than it is white vs black.

I've lived in a predominantly Latino area of California for well over the past decade. I have experienced racism from Latino people and even been told by other Latinos that Latinos can be extremely racist. I knew about the extensive racial social caste system in Latino culture from paying attention in History class but didn't realize that racism would transfer over specifically to white people but it does.
On a conspiratorial note, it would also make sense that I would experience racism here from Latinos specifically because in America (specifically California) there is a HUGE border problem and California by virtue of current lack of enforcement has a ton of illegal immigrants. However, since California is a piece of land that used to be Mexico but was sold to the U.S.A. in 1848 a lot of the Mexicans who come here (particularly illegally) want California to return to being part of Mexico. This is called the "la raza" conspiracy and is not actually a theory, it is a conspiracy fact. It is a well documented phenomenon and anyone who has anthropological ties and has spent time researching realizes its depth. This creates a dynamic in many parts of (particularly southern California) where Latinos are the dominant demographic and many of them are extremely racist against white people because they believe there shouldn't be any white people there because California should still be part of Mexico and it should be all Latinos (la raza) with no white people. If we are ever going to teach critical race theory then it must start off at the beginning of the human story. Specifically what each race (phenotype) had to do in order to mentally, physically, and biologically adapt to their environment once migrating out of the African Continent approximately 100,000 years ago (Early human migration). That would specifically explain the dichotomy of why many cultures are the way they are phenotypically (physical appearance) and why all different people around the world have linguistic, cultural, & Ideological differences. If you teach that all humans no matter what race you are started as black African people who eventually adapted to different environments creating many divergent phenotypes (physical appearances) you can easily begin a good foundation on how we are all related as humans but Furthermore explain about how tribalism or racist ideologies were created. Why was the 20th century western fascination of race defined as something phenotypical instead of ethic groups that share similar haploid-groups.

    • @TheDichotomyofEverything

@@jt7273 The reason why the out of Africa theory is facts not a “theory” is because literally the last few 100 human skeletons that have outdated each other as the oldest skeleton on earth have all been found in Africa so unless there’s at least hundreds of different human skeletons found all over Europe & Asia that are older than Lucy than those discoveries hold no weight to debunking that humans originated in Africa. Since the beginning of anthropology Europeans have looked all over Asia and Europe to discredit Africa as being the place where humanity started. Obviously the out of Africa theory isn’t advantageous to the Europeans who started the slave trade and created fake history to accommodate the ideology behind the transatlantic slave trade. The skeletons found all over Africa is just 1/2 of the evidence we have to prove humanity started in Africa. Even if they find skeletons that are older than Lucy (the oldest skeleton in the world found in Ethiopia) in Europe and Asia you still have the issue of haplogroups. The reason why we know all humans are descendants of Lucy is also because of haplogroups. A haplogroup is a genetic population group of people who share a common ancestor on either their paternal or maternal line. So regardless if you are European Asian or Austronesian your paternal or maternal bloodline will show your ancestors originated in Africa, specifically East Africa because the people that live in East Africa today share their genetics with literally everyone on earth . If there was a group of people in northern Asia or Europe that share genetics with every human being on earth to the extent of their haplogroups then we would know there are clues humanity started there. Until that day we are all Descendants of the black man I’m sorry Jim Crow lol I know George Washington and every other racist piece of shit president in this country’s history is probably pissed about this theory being proven as facts. 😂 George Washington would take the teeth out the mouth of his slaves to replace his own. A man only does these kind of things when they think they’re better than another man. It’s a shame there wasn’t modern technology back then, then George Washington would have realized he lived in a society that enslaved the earths first Human beings. His ancestors looked like black Africans at one time. It’s a shame he didn’t know that but hey at least now we know.

He uses symbols of race (and identity), but it was always about power and economy. The foundation of race as a concept was built around these premises. We think in terms of class struggle, you think in terms of racial struggle (even for objectively class based issues).
No surprise then, that racial justice movements can't fix class based problems.
I'm sure institutional racism persists, but wealth inequality in the US is so absurd, that it's just rearranging the deckchairs on the titanic anyway. From the outside, the US appears to be corroding and the trajectory looks awful.

race is skull structure, not skin color. Otherwise an albino african would be considered white, but they are not.

This argument is so short sighted, odd + quite delusional. Ignores the majority of human history for his own sake. Not to mention biology.

Men are the main source of violence but they were also the main driver for creating the society we have today (including almost all inventions humankind made). The reason is simple, man are more competitive, and competition is the main driver to try something new. Unfortunately, it also produces violence as a side effect. You cannot have one without the other. Ofc from a the standpoint of a person living in a western country in the 21st century it is easy to forget, that we as humans came a long way. We didn't start with democracies, internet, power plants, well trained medical doctors, GPS and highly optimized agriculture 10,000 years ago.

4:35 this is the dumbest argument, because men aren't the originators of violence. All the other species in the world before humans ever evolved are the originators of violence.
Coming up in this world, evolving in this world, stone age man. You had to kill (or at least be willing to kill) or be killed. Whether that was an animal trying to use your resources against your will, or another human trying to use your resources against your will. Stone age men we're not the first one to use violence to their benefit.
Females of the same species ARE in competition with one another for food and resources, even if men are not there. Therefore, if there was a limited amount of food (as in almost every natural ecosystem), a more aggressive female will be the last one standing after a period of time. This doesnt matter if they're birds or lions or humans, and there are or are not men present. Animals will compete to stay alive. We are coded to.

It’s easy, first off white people are not racists just bcuz they are white
Second if you’re not white you’re not exempted from being racist.
Third Boys have Cocks girls have cunts and wokism is delusion.
      Seemed pretty straightforward
