These are the fastest Nordstrom elevators in Dallas. These are actually somewhat useful on days like Black Friday where they will both be in use all day. These are the most reliable elevators in the mall too.
You can never have too many elevators. This setup keeps customers happy with very short wait times. I remember the first time I was in the Las Vegas Hilton when I was 12. (Think early 80s... and don't actually do the math... damn I'm old!! D'oh!) Anyway, I was amazed that a 30 story hotel had 40 really fast elevators. I remember my Dad pointing out that they don't want customers waiting... they want people moving and spending money at all times. (God I miss my Dad!) Anyway, this elevator setup is perfect!
The local (and only) Nordstrom here in Nashville has a Schindler and actually has 4 floor landings (1, G, 2, and 3). G just accesses to the street (between 1 and 2). I think most Nordstroms have traction elevators.
Nordstrom seems to have efficent elevator systems in their stores since most of their elevators are traction and usually contain a bank of two in their stores. I actually really like that system Nordstrom has to be honest. But I can also see your point on over elevators since I can see a bank of two elevators being to much when the store isn't super busy.
@STL Elevators HA HA HA HA How could I forget that day? I have a new camera and six new batteries. x-type Still need some new n-types. LOL :) . good times

Yeah. Galleria Dallas has some neat elevators
They also have Montgomery elevators at Nordstrom at the Westchester shopping center in White Plains, New York.
This elevator has a sick fan
I kind of like the motor better on the elevator right outside this Nordstrom
it does have a good motor.
@@DieselDucy I like your opinion ;)
I also rode a Montgomery KONE with innovation universal.
Both elevators are nice, but the other elevator's floor passing chime sounds weird.
0:30 - Elevator 1
1:39 - Elevator 2
These are sentimental, upscale mid-90s MontgomeryKONEs... I believe this is my first appearance on your channel!
Very similar to the one in Roosevelt Field in Garden City, NY
Nice elevator

2024 update. 3rd floor is now locked as the store shrunk down to just 2 floors
Wow. That sucks
@@DieselDucy on top of that, the Elevator in the Green garage by Nordstrom (the Montgomery not the Fujitec ones by tower 2) is getting modded by Kone
Typo in title: "Nordstorn" when it's "Nordstrom"

I love this elevator for a Nordstrom, do you?
-Nordstorm- *Nordstrom*
Proofread please.
I bet these used the same motor as a Kone M Series
Nah lol
Sad the third floor is closed off now
yeah i was just there today so sad
Just like the ones at MOA.
And Roosevelt Field.
Love the elevator but the drive motor sounds like it’s about to eat a bearing.
a worn bearing or bearing alignment with the rotor/bearing block. It does sound like it's coming from the hoist motor. Needs to be checked into.
Nordstorn
It's actually Nordstrom
Installed in 1996
Thanks
@DieselDucy you welcome
that motor tho oof
I hate elevator motor sounds, they sounds scary
