The 18-year old was chosen #1 overall by Angel City and will join the club locally in LA while she finishes her senior year of high school. Alyssa talks about the draft day for her, attending school that morning and who she was celebrating with during the event. I’ve seen Giselle play. She looks like a potential star too. She is very comfortable with the ball, appears to have decent speed and is a quality defender. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her get a call up to the USWNT at some point in the future.

Cooper vs Thompson in year 1 in the league. Who ya got?
i'm taking Cooper's first year over Thompson in terms of impact since i don't think Freya can be trusted with developing young talent.. like at all. Thompson has insane natural talent. but she has so much room to develop. long term, Thompson's ceiling is out of this world but ACFC is betting on their coaching staff to develop an 18 year old into an impact player right away on a roster full of veterans. if she doesn't continue to get called into the NT, i think her development will be much slower than some are hoping.
Cooper i am not concerned with given her age, experience & raw talent as well. KCC are going to be scary.. terrifying... ominous. ACFC are going to rely on McCaskill.
She may have been the top pick coming out of high school but that’s over and dine with. Whats going to happen with her at the pro level. She is going to have to start from scratch and prove herself at the pro level.
She’ll be ready for the pros. She played against boys 2 yrs older in the MLS Next. The physicality and speed of game should not be an issue. She’s used to playing as the youngest and least experienced on teams yet her talent still stands out. I believe she’s ready. No pressure. She has a few vets who will take her under their wings.

She looked good vs. England, but that may be a one-off. She played poorly at the last youth World Cup where the US got knocked out early. Only time will tell if she can compete and excel at the top level this early.
Stanford or going PRO and studying at another college in LA a difficult decision. I'd go for the former and a different hair do:) All the best to her.

Nope, she will attempt to be one of the best but besides running fast only 5 times per game that doesn't make her perfect and of course it won't make her one of the best either. I wish her the best though@@bafai444
