Vail Christmas 2023 Ski Colorado 12/25/2023

It's Christmas Day 2023 at Vail Ski Resort in Colorado. 85% of the trails on The Front Side, The Back Bowls, and Blue Sky Basin are open. Squeak, squeak, that's the cold sound of today's snow adventure centered on China Bowl. Some powder, some crunch, lots of terrain, and no lift lines. The sun comes and goes all day, making for some variable light conditions. When the sky is blue, it's very blue. More sun, please. Could have used better wax on this cold, cold snow. Runs sampled: Sleepytime Road, Red Zinger, Poppyfields East, Poppyfields, Silk Road, Shangri La, Chopstix, Genghis Khan, Sweet N Sour, Whiskey Jack, Flap Jack, Swingsville, Riva Ridge, Tourist Trap, and Riva Catwalk.

Still no Highline and Prima.😉 It was nice seeing Riva and TT, they looked recently groomed.
A nice tour of the BB for some major untracked before the crowds, getting up early looked like the good call. Cheers.

Way to much poling in the flats to get to the runs. To much work!
